AVOID THIS BREEDER! I've owned dogs all of my life with no issues. I purchased a French Bulldog…read morepuppy from Maine Street Bullies. Just before I was supposed to pick him up I was told he tested positive for Guardia. When I asked how difficult it was to treat, I was assured it was no big deal, a week of antibiotics. With this in mind, I picked him up. Big Mistake. Three months later he had not gained any weight as he was eating his feces and reinfecting himself. When I took him to my veterinarian I was told breaking the behavior of dogs eating their own poop was very difficult to do. The breeder was helpful at first then began blaming me. Her solution was for me to put a muzzle on my pup and keeping him on leash at all times to break this habit. I agreed to a week of antibiotics not months of behavior modification, which I told the breeder. Given, he had not gained any weight I was worried for his health. So, the breeder said I should bring him back and they'd train him. After three more months of checking up on him I was told he was ready to be picked up. However, they wanted me to pay them over $1000 to cover the expenses they incurred. They wanted me to pay the costs of making an unhealthy dog they sold me healthy again. When I finally agreed I was told I could not get him back as their daughter fell in love with him. Not only were they not willing to give me my dog back but were not willing to refund my money. I had to take them to Maine Small Claims court to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable breeder, Maine Street Bullies is not one!

Unfortunately, we lost one of those girls to brain cancer, she was an amazing girl, I miss her everyday. Six months after losing my sweet girl, we had the opportunity to get our first Frenchie. The personality of this girl is off the charts, she's sassy and unbearably cute. Last Summer we added a beautiful little boy Frenchie to our pack. We could not be happier with all of our dogs and the amazing support we have received from Maine Street Bullies. This breeder is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about all of her dogs, even after they go to their new homes. The adult dogs we have added to our family came well trained, healthy and highly socialized. The puppies have been healthy, socialized and are beautiful. They love and are loved by everyone they meet. I obviously, have no hesitation recommending Maine Street Bullies to anyone that is equipped to care for the bully breeds. Do your homework and ask questions. Bullies are not for everyone, but for our family they are perfect!

He's 5 years old and a bit of a goof ball when his needs are met. In the past 6 mos Ive used BDI twice. When I brought Basil for a stay in Dec. He approached the entrance and when the door to the office was opened, he did an about face, and headed back to the car. As I was headed to the airport, I had to coerse him to enter the office. I assumed it was nothing unusual. (first red flag). The staff would not let me see the back where the dogs are kept. ( second red flag ). Basil stayed 6 days that time. Recently I attended a week long event and booked a res for him well in advance. They insist on 50% deposit, which was substancial. When I dropped him off, again he balked at the entrance. ( 3rd red flag). I decided to call the next day to see how he was doing. Call went to voicemail, no one called me back. ( 4th red flag). Two more days go by, I call again, mentioning my first call that had not been returned. I then received an email telling me Basil was fine, wnjoying his stay. Pictures were sent to convince me. On pick up day, I emailed my arrival time, and was there at 4pm. Dani said she would email me a receipt when the charges went through. I took Basil home, he was exausted. No charges came thru til 48 hrs later, no email either. I saw the charge on my bank statement online. I emailed BDI and explained how I had not received a receipt, and found it unsettling, and unorofessional to charge a customer without the chance to review the charges. Within 15 minutes, I recieved an email with the charges, and an additional email from the manager Natasha, apologising for the delay, and telling me I was no longer welcome to make a future reservation with them. (Huge red flag). Any business that is that reactive to legitimate concerns, and results in blocking the customer, is a reason to really question this business, and their integrity. Im fine, Basil is fine, we will spread the word about our experience and never go back per their request. H Harwood

I was able to stay and say my goodbyes and the room was very sweet. Relaxing, soft music with a small waterfall and the picture on the wall was beautiful and I was able to take my time. I would have to say, this is a hard review to make, but our pets are family members too. Even though this sweet kitty was my mother-in-law's, and she couldn't be there, as she is elderly, everyone at this office was understanding and so nice during a sad time. I appreciate the time they gave me and how gentle they were with her and made her very comfortable. If your pet is in a medical need, or sadly...final stage, this place helped me say goodbye and were very comforting.

When we called for an emergency they failed to respond promptly and when they responded the next day they would not see our cat. Our elderly cat is on a long term drug to resolve a chronic condition that was prescribed by Dr Norman before CareVet took over and now they will not extend the prescription. They have eliminated the separation of dogs and cats in the waiting room (which was brilliant). Their staff is no longer the friendly, happy staff that we saw in the past and the vet that gave the last exam did not have any knowledge of the cat's history or did she seem to care. We cannot wait to change vets.

They then made us wait another hour before we received the medication and could check out. This appointment took 2.5 hours total for a simple exam. The overwhelming majority of this time was spent waiting in the waiting room or exam room. There did not appear to be a single other patient in the practice while we were there, so I'm perplexed as to why we had to wait this long. When I got home, I reviewed the receipt because I felt the total was higher than the estimate, and I realized they charged us twice for one of the medications. The staff and veterinarian seemed generally friendly/competent, but the wait time, coupled with the billing mistake, is a deal breaker for me. I will not return to this practice.

First and foremost, this is where I bring my little Milli for her grooming - she had her first one this week! Michelle groomed my little Zoey's hair for over 15 years and when Michelle left another location and moved here - you can bet I didn't hesitate to follow her. She is truly amazing - patient, kind, and so VERY GOOD at what she does. This place also has a wide array of pet food, treats, and other various supplies. I have found that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when I'm looking for products. I'm fully convinced The Dog Wash Etc. team healed my pup's nail trim trauma!…read more A little backstory: years ago, I used to bribe and singlehandedly wrangle my shepherd rescue mutt -- Layla -- in order to trim her nails at home. It was never an easy task to tackle alone. After about 4 years, I tragically hit the quick of one of her black nails. Fast forward to now 8-year-old, 65-lb Layla, who still won't let me near her with clippers. I've had to outsource the torturous task to her vet and groomers since that fateful day. Once she associates a place with nail trims, though, she resists entry and tries to find the nearest exit. The Dog Wash Etc. has proven to be a rare exception to this rule, which is a testament to the positive experiences we've had there. Evie skillfully handled and warmly gained Layla's trust during our first visit and again several weeks later (bonus: the trim kept Layla's pawdicure needs at bay much longer than usual) It doesn't hurt that the Pets on Point store has cookies (and a whole shop full of goodies) for a post-trim treat. Punch card rewards or not, Evie and the Dog Wash team have earned our loyalty. I am eager to try the actual dog washes next... although Layla is as enthusiastic about baths as she is about nail trims!
