Dr. Weiss has changed my life in less than a year's time! I am so happy I found him. If you have…read moreany strange, lingering health issues that traditional doctors and specialists aren't adequately treating (or even mostly dismissing in my case), I highly recommend you give Dr. Weiss a call immediately! The symptoms that brought me there (such as unexplained, constant and physically uncomfortable burping, haha yes I know, objectively funny but, I promise, it was not fun) are now 99% gone and--as an added benefit--I no longer get migraines and have much less fatigue. What else could I ask for? Like many other reviewers (I agree wholeheartedly with everything in Farhan C.'s review), I will also add that I am very, very, very skeptical of alternative treatments. I stumbled upon the Morrison Center only after going to a PCP, multiple gastroenterologists, and a breathing specialist for my 2+ year condition. (Even my gynecologist had better ideas than the dismissive, old, white, male gastroenterologists!) Before going, there are some things you should know. In order for Dr. Weiss and the Morrison Center to successfully treat you, my must: (1) go in with a very OPEN MIND, try to limit your eyerolling, and be willing to adapt your life to follow their treatment plans. For me, one of these was a major dietary overhaul that continues to be very challenging and very frustrating. But guess what? Feeling better is worth it. (2) Be ready to answer lots and lots of random health questions. My initial intake was an hour and a half! I have never been given SO MUCH ATTENTION from a physician. It was refreshing for a doctor to actually have enthusiasm, have a PLEASANT BEDSIDE MANNER, and be committed to explaining medical minutiae to you. He wants you to understand what is going on with your body and his knowledge is insane! In this initial intake, Dr. Weiss immediately identified several potential issues which, with testing, were confirmed and treated with a mix of dietary changes, antibiotics, herbals, and supplements. I continued to go back, we made adjustments gradually, and things worked. (3) You must know that THEY DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE. Going there was a challenge financially so I've had to cut my treatment short BUT it was worth it. It was worth making some sacrifices to go there. You cannot put a price on your health. (4) Again, keep going with it and keep an open-minded. (But it is ok to retain some of your skepticism. For example, if he tells you that he thinks that your lifelong dark circles will go away you can laugh. That didn't happen during my year of treatment and I will go to my grave convinced that will never happen. No hard feelings though, Dr. Weiss!) Unfortunately, I have to cut my treatment shorter than I'd like because financing this is tough. They are expensive--wouldn't it be nice to be rich and have premium healthcare?! However, Dr. Weiss was respectful to this during my treatment. He gave me recommendations for certain supplements and other options that were more affordable than some of Morrison's own products. He switched one of my prescriptions to get a more affordable option. In sum, I didn't particularly feel like Morrison was trying to jam their own products down my throat and continue to milk my bank account dry. There are a few other lingering things that I would like to eventually treat. Dr. Weiss seemed to respect this and encouraged me to come back if my financial situation changes. My only complaint is that getting Weiss on the phone takes longer than it should. I understand he is busy but I had to wait over a week for a call back. I had made a call on a Monday morning, a Thursday afternoon, and another call on the following Monday before finally getting a return call. Another time when I was responding badly to some of the minerals I didn't bother calling because I didn't feel like leaving a message with reception and not being sure if it got to him. Not sure where the oversight was here but this is something that should be improved. In person, however, the Morrison Center is PERFECTION. Bottom line: All worth it. I cannot thank Dr. Weiss enough. I'd also like to give a shout out to Stephanie Mandel for her guidance with nutrition. She is excellent!

The long wait is a good sign. It is proof that your doc will listen to you and give you enough…read moretime. Doctors who don't run behind are the ones who barely listen to your history or symptoms. They make a snap decision and write a scrip for something frm Big Pharma. And they are convinced they are right based on this incredible lack of reflection or consideration given to understanding your unique body and human life. If you want a fast prescription, go somewhere else. If you want the best doctor you have ever had, go to Dr Polina Liss. And give her my regards.

Yelp Polina Liss review…read more I do love Dr. Polina as a person. I think she's a curious and smart physician who tries to be on top of medical innovations and naturopathic supplements. She also does notice some issues most doctors won't which is a great thing. But that's about it. I switched to her a few years back mainly to treat Hypothyroidism, thinking she'd be able to advise on holistic treatments. I believe the main issue is the administrative side of her office and her staff is extremely unfocused and disorganized. Basically: you go to one appointment - dr Polina does take the time to listen - and then you are recommended several supplements based on the issues you describe. She's not making money off of them as you just get them yourself later. BUT, there's no follow up whatsoever and she doesn't seem to remember what she told you to take. Not to mention the "treatment" was never written down, just loosely relayed during the appointment, so you always leave confused. So what happens is you spend your money on buying supplements and have to remember to take (several) but you're not sure if they really make any difference as there's no talking about it next time unless you purposefully ask about each. It's not my job to remind her what she prescribed last time! It's like there's not a real treatment in place. And the recommendations feels a bit impulsive and confusing. She claims to be holistic but I don't feel I'm treated as a whole nor that my "treatment" makes sense in the big picture or treating me holistically. It's an "aloof" kind of situation which brings your anxiety up instead of really making your quality of life better. Her staff is quite a mess, majorly her main secretary. She's probably been there for years and acts like the gatekeeper but is not that helpful. Many times specially after pandemics they don't really pick up the phone despite working from their home. You leave a message and no one gets back to you. I'm fine with waiting 1-2 days to hear back, but the thing is they don't get back at all. I've ran out of meds for days now and just gave up. I'll go back to my old doc and get new prescriptions from him instead. Not to mention I don't think she's a specialist in thyroid treatment whatsoever and I'm having horrid symptoms since the last time she changed my meds. Fatigue, wild temperature fluctuations and feel like I'm running on empty. It's actually a good thing I ran out of meds as I can tell some horrid symptoms are gone and it was prob the meds she recommended. With all of this, I'll have to go back to my old Thyroid doctor. While I was with him I never experienced side effects related to my Thyroid. I will always love Dr Polina, she's an amazing caring person. So the 2 stars review. But the lack of follow through and a clear, defined course of treatment on medical issues is making me leave and not wanting to come back. I feel it might be good to see her for some nutritional advice, but not for major illnesses.

My first acupuncture appointment and I LOVED it!…read more I was greeted a woman at the front desk who offered me water and tea and waited for my appointment in one of their chairs, which feature a few of their acupuncture mat products. Joseph was my provider and he took time to review my pre-appointment notes and walk my through the process. He assured me that my nickel allergy was noted on my charts and that he'd be using gold needles during the appointment. He did a quick physical assessment of my tense areas and determined where I'd benefit from the acupuncture, guiding me through it the entire time. After they were in place, he pit headphones on me and let me choose a guided meditation to relax to while I was left in the darkened room for the effects to set in. I chose the Chill guided meditation and it was just that. I was so relaxed, my Oura ring counted my time as a "nap"! Afterwards, he removed the needles and offered me a quick body massage and offered me complimentary ear seeding. As I was leaving I noticed how cute their retail shop was and spent nearly $50 on various vitamins and gifts for my friends there. (The sleep chocolates are so good). I'd recommend this place to first time acupuncture patients for a great intro to the practice and hope to return!

Not serious care. I went for convenience (very close to home); and thought I would see how regular maintenance would be for my body. I can honestly say that after giving it several months, it did NOTHING! By contrast, I just went to my real acupuncturist and feel 100% better! Not only that, when my membership expired (I cancelled due to the amateur nature of the place), I went away and upon returning, knowing that I had 3 paid for appointments left, found that my practitioner there was away, so I waited to make another appointment. By the time I made an appointment, it was clear they were going to charge me for it. When I inquired, they told me I had exceeded the post cancellation grace period - even though I had THREE paid for appointments left! This place was the biggest WASTE OF MONEY and TIME!! Just awful and just a bunch of hipsters and marketing! Don't fall for it!! Find a real acupuncturist who is serious about what they are doing. Here, they never checked my tongue or took my pulses. They have no idea what they are doing!
