I left this place absolutely furious. I ate alone. My family stayed up in our rooms, tired from a day of touring. I was rushed to order, first in tagalog (of which i don't understand much as an American), then in English.
I ordered a pot of green tea, and they brought me a cup of jasmine tea. I was confused, but i accepted as I'm not one to be too picky.
When I asked for a recommendation the waiter nonchalantly pointed at some pork dish, which happened to be the cheapest thing on the page. I didn't go for it. Instead, I ordered fried noodles, barbeque pork, and rice. I had no intention of finishing it all. I wanted to bring some food back to my family.
The staff stood around me staring at me and whispering to each other as I ate. Three different servers came to my table and all spoke to me in tagalog, forcing me to inform them that I only spoke English multiple times.
The absolute worst part was when I tried to bill the food to my room, they informed me that "the system was broken" and I would have to pay cash/card. This seemed like an obvious ploy to make sure that I wasn't scamming the restaurant. I left the place insulted, uncomfortable, and actually full on a decent meal. The service was abhorrent and not representative of any respectable hotel. Do not eat here. read more
