I still order from Hai Sun at least once a week. Their delivery is freaky fast. My last order took 22 minutes to arrive at my door. I love their pork fried dumplings and egg drop soup. Their sweet and sour chicken is to die for. They were closed for a bit during COVID-19, but they are back with a vengeance. This is a small family business. They are pickup/delivery only. They recently began taking debit/credit (only for pick up). However, they prefer cash. Delivery is cash only! They recently raised their prices, but the quality is absolutely worth the price hike. You can also order on Uber Eats. I recommend calling and ordering rather than use Uber Eats. Uber Eats prices their meals several dollars above their raised menu prices!! Also, if you order $30 or more they give you extras - soda, egg roll, etc... it changes depending on how much you spend. This is only if you order over the phone! Ordered via Doordash around 9pm last night. I always has a thing for Chinese American food, having grown up on it. I often try new restaurants just for kicks. Coming off a 10 hour gig, I was hungry. The food arrived fast and Dasher was fine. As I carried the bag from my front door to my apartment, I was very hungry and happy to not have to cook. The bag felt heavy so I was excited. The double egg rolls were ok. I enjoy mine with soy sauce, and since they didn't include it, used my own. It was greasy, and overly salty, as I was using the soy sauce sparingly. But edible. The Mongolian beef was a whole different story. The sauce tasted like ketchup like they used a cheap version of that and added cheap spices. Even worse everything tasted off. They packed the dish with vegetables, and nearly all of them tasted spoiled. The beef was also off, like it was several days past date. Lastly I tried the egg drop wonton soup. The soup was fine and familiar. But the pork in the wontons was suspect, and also tasted past due. Cut to 4AM I woke up and had to run to the bathroom. It was if I had taken a large dose of laxatives before falling asleep. My stomach is still in irons and I can't go back to sleep. Often times freshly prepared food that is packaged quickly sweats and becomes soggy . However this restaurant mastered how to package and deliver steaming hot food. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken , Chicken Lo Mein , Fried Dumplings and an Egg Roll. The General Tsos Chicken was spicy but delicious with a side dish of pork fried rice which had a very soft texture. The Lo Mein was lightly seasoned with no traces of oil. My friend and I ordered about five different dishes and appetizers to share including Age Tofu, string beans, sesame chicken, flat noodles, and scallion pancakes. When we received the food, all of it was tasteless and inedible. We picked at it a tiny bit because we were starving. But ultimately we tossed it in the trash because it was that bad. (And we are honestly not that picky). We ordered through seamless and called them first to ask about a refund. They reached out to the restaurant told us they required to pick up the food before they would refund us. We told the restaurant we had already thrown it out, but they insisted on picking it up. We explained that it was in the trash, but they still insisted. So we waited an hour. Finally, after another call to Seamless, a woman from the restaurant called us and screamed at us, hung up, called back and screamed again, three times. She demanded that we send her a picture of the food to her cell phone. So we texted her a picture of the food in the trash (we explained to her what state it was in, but she probably didn't hear us because she was constantly screaming at us and wouldn't take a second to listen). She called us back screaming again to call us liars and say there was only rice in the picture. She demanded we pick through the garbage and put it back into the containers to prove we had not eaten the food. So I literally sat on the floor...and picked through the garbage. At first th this was my favorite Chinese store I recently ordered food for my sister and I she got boneless spare rib tips and I got chicken wings with french fries her boneless spare rib tips looked like mini rats chopped up and my chicken wings tasted terrible. They still had feathers in them. My French fries were uncooked and very frozen like when I had asked them to be well done just to avoid this.
