Appointment at 9, by 9:50 salon was still not open. Zero communication from management just kept stalling stylist 5 more minutes and nobody came to open anything. I ended up finally leaving and they called and offer me 10 percent off to come back later. Their cancellation policy is very strict yet it's one sided. I have tried MANY times reaching out via phone and email without any luck of hearing back from anyone despite the promises that a 'manager would call me back'. I received the silk touch plus last week and despite my mentioning numerous times to the stylist that my scalp was burning and then being reassured that this was normal, it ended up burning my scalp and giving me a chemical burn to the point that I now have blisters and the skin on my scalp is peeling off in chunks from being burned. (Photos attached) I was also not warned that it would turn my Dark neutral ash brown into a bright orange kool aid color. Despite the staff being friendly, the inability for a manager to have the decency to call me back to discuss what happened is unacceptable, unprofessional and just straight up rude. read more

5 stars for service, but I am still not a keratin fan. The salon was really concerned with me being an unhappy customer. I wasn't going to go back, but they even called me. Brittany insisted on trying to make it right. She spent 2 hrs applying a keratin treatment, going over the spots the previous stylist missed. I was surprised to learn that once again I wouldn't be able to get my hair wet for several days- that I'd even have to be concerned about sweat, that I'd have to be concerned about dents created by sunglasses, that I shouldn't wear a hat, etc. After all that, my hair is smoother and more even. I am considering this salon for color. They have so many happy customers, Brittany seems terrific, and their prices aren't crazy expensive. For straightening, I am sticking with MagicSleek and my NY salon. read more

I went here for a haircut and saw Esther. I was very happy with my cut. The place is clean - and they do have different kind of specials that you can use to get your hair highlighted and colored. Brittany completely transformed my look into something I never thought possible. She's very skilled and very experienced Rosa is so sweet and diligent anticipating my every need; Dari did my daughters keratin today , a beautiful stylist with 12+ years with the company. HELLO , so i was waiting to get my hair washed and the women who was getting washed asked to assistant to please do not scrub so hard she was hurting her & the client said she has a head injury from a accident , she not only ignored her she walked away from the client in the middle of washing her & a kind hair dresser calmed the customer down and respected her wished & washed her gently. this assistant can cause you a law suit she is careless and the comes to mop the full salon with a nasty disgusting dirty mop. not sure what happen to this place but sadly i wont return until she is fired. I am very disappointed in the root touch up color I received at Hair Bar NYC in Delray. I went their on November 14, 2024 for a root touch up. I told the stylist that I like my current color, and showed her a picture of what color my previous stylist used in NY. The appointment was very pleasant. She was very nice. We chatted. I had a manicure done while we were waiting for the dye to set. I told her that I do not need a blow dry because my hair is treated with the Japanese straightening and it does not need to be blown out. She blew out a small section to show me the color. I mentioned that it looks to dark. She assured me that it would lighten when it dries. Later, when my hair dried, I was not happy. The root touch up was way to dark. You could see line across my head where the old color was and the new color. I called and made an appointment to go in Saturday November 16,2024 to fix my hair. When I arrived on 11/16, they sat me down and put a cape on me. The stylist told me that she was sorry, and they would fix my hair. All the stylists were coming to look at my hair, and meeting to discuss how to fix my hair. I don't think they knew what to do. I could see another stylist looking on his phone and asking Siri what to do. After a while, the original stylist came over and brought me to the sink. She said they are going to fix it in the sink because it will be very fast. The other stylist (the one asking Siri) was the one doing the fix. I did not realize they were going to be bleaching my hair. The bleach was hurting my eyes. The original stylist told me to just keep my eyes closed. As I was lying there, they kept checking my hair. After a while, they rinsed and washed my hair. Stylist #2 left, and the original stylist added color to my hair. She combed the color through my whole head. After another period of time, she washed my hair. I was at the sink for at least 45 minutes. I think they wanted to do this at the sink, so I could not see what they were doing. As she brought me to her chair, She through a towel in the sink so I could not see how much hair loss I had. She told the shampoo person that she would be back to clean it up. She brushed out my hair, and dried a small section of it. I told her that is was still too dark. She told me it would lighten up. I went to my car to cry. The color was still too dark. And the color I loved, was no longer there because she brushed the new color through my whole head of hair. I went back in to the salon because I wanted to talk to the manager. I sat there a while waiting for her. She was not any help. She told me I could make another appointment to fix it. I do not want my hair bleached again. This is not what I expected. If she could not match the color, she should have said so. They should not have bleached my hair without my permission. I'm afraid of what is going to happen next time I have the Japanese straightening done. This is totally unacceptable. read more

Could not get past making an appt. They were more worried about holding a credit card just to make an appt. They advised it was in the event the appt was missed my card would be charged charged but did not disclose how much the charge would be. But then I was told, it would be 10% of the services, but again, did not disclose what the amount of the services would be. The girl became very frustrated when I was asking these questions that really mattered to me, to avoid having large amounts of money charged on my card in the event that I did not show up. I guess I just do business a little differently than they do. If I charged a fee every time a customer didn't show up for a property showing, I would be rich. For Mother's day, Hair Bar had a number of specials . They actually do this several times a year. I purchased a keratin special to relax some of the frizz for the summer travel plans. This turned out to be a great decision! The Hair Bar technician was so good. Everyone there was friendly, store was bright, and very clean! I had a positive experience. The cost was $120. (normally it costs about $250). Paloma was the technician. She took good care of me. i gave her a $20 tip which she earned by doing a totally professional job. i'll return to HairBar. read more

Being new to the area I really had no clue where to go. I got lucky and walked into Hair Bar NYC. The salon and the hair dresser, Esther, really exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting much for sleepy Delray Beach. I've been getting Keratin treatments for 15+ years and coming from NYC I'm use to a high-end expedience. Again, they exceeded my expectation in every way possible. First, their hairdressers are knowledgable and informed on the latest techniques. Second, they use the latest technology. I hate sitting under the hair dryer. They sat me down under what looked like a halo light you use to make home videos. Well it sort of rotated around my head and dried my hair without making me hot and sweaty. Third, the price was very fair and reasonable.
