I was recommended this salon by a friend who had previously dabbled in hair dressing and so figured it as a rather safe bet. The main thing it definitely has going for it is price. I feel hardpressed to meet London prices for mediocre London haircuts in chain salons that try and give the same 'in' do to everyone who walks in. So I'm all for the independent haridresser. The cut wasn't bad either - although all I was doing was having it trimmed.
Where it fell HUGELY short for me, which would stop me returning would definitely be the fact that it took 2 hours to have my hair trimmed and dried. After an hour I started hurrying them along as it was a Sunday afternoon and I wanted to make some shops before closing time and had put aside an hour, never imagining it would take 2! I eventually said 'that's fine, I'll touch it up at home if needs be but I really have to go now'. I missed the shops anyhow.
As feedback I offered that while I was happy with most aspects of the cut, I was horrified at the time it took and was met with excuses around a shortage of staff - staff who had been sent to fetch lunch, the post office, to eat lunch in the back together all during my visit. First place I've ever read a magazine cover to cover and so although it might save a few squids, it costs a lot of patience. read more
