I left without the cut or blow-dry/style. Anyone who has ever gone through the process of trying to grow color out of hair knows this isn't just about getting a one time bad color. Even if I was refunded my money, I'd still need the fix for the immediate hair plus 2 years of ongoing maintenance color. This is literally a cost to me of over $1k plus the hours and hours I will have to commit to it again. My hair feels like straw, when it was very healthy going in. Plus, there's just the fact that I'm old. 2 years is significant. I am furious. More so at the management than the stylist. This was her first day...part of the reason for 4 hours. She had to continually leave me to go consult with others. Somebody that new, that timid, and with that many questions needed someone with her, assisting. I deserved that. She deserved that. Not only was her experience dismissed she really wasn't even heard out or empathized. As black women our hair is part of our identity and she left feeling like she couldn't be seen in public.
