Not only was her experience dismissed she really wasn't even heard out or empathized. As black women our hair is part of our identity and she left feeling like she couldn't be seen in public. I understand the customer isn't always right, but there's almost always a way to create a better experience through empathy, communication, and a willingness to help. Even if I was refunded my money, I'd still need the fix for the immediate hair plus 2 years of ongoing maintenance color. This is literally a cost to me of over $1k plus the hours and hours I will have to commit to it again. My hair feels like straw, when it was very healthy going in. Plus, there's just the fact that I'm old. 2 years is significant. I am furious. More so at the management than the stylist. This was her first day...part of the reason for 4 hours. When I called back, the owner dismissed it as a "money issue," claiming I wanted a style I couldn't afford, which was untrue. Everyone I know agrees my hair looks red and orange. Avoid this place.
