Let me say, when it comes to getting a good hair cut, I believe I am cursed. Seriously. 80% of the time, I am dissatisfied with the work done. From barbers to salons, it's more miss than hit. I try to convey my expectations as simple as possible, and the results are typically me wondering if the tech even heard me. Ha ha... SO, this brings me back to why I am leaving this review. Halya listened and asked questions along the way, being certain she was doing what I was looking for. I have medium length hair and with my hair type, it can be hard to style as I like. Keeping this in mind, Halya makes suggestions and isn't afraid to counter my opinion to achieve the desired results. I went back for a second hair cut last week, which solidified my thoughts of my first experience. Due to Halya's attention to detail and desire to get it right (and ability to accomplish that result), I will keep going back for her service. There are many places I could go that are much closer to me, but I'd rather save myself the time and drive further to have the job done right the first time, correctly. As for cost, it is very reasonable. When I consider the end results I get here, it is a great value. I can pay the bill, give a 75% tip and still feel great about the experience. My appointment was with a new stylist, Sierra, who was personable, but several important steps in styling my curly hair after the cut were missed. My sides were over-dried and left uneven, while my crown was still wet. Product application felt minimal, an afterthought, and I wasn't shown what was used during the styling process. After the appointment, I even needed to apply a deep conditioner at home because my hair felt dry from the excessive blow-drying. More broadly, there didn't seem to be much in the way of quality control or accountability to ensure customer satisfaction before leaving the chair. When I raised concerns, I was told the only option was to return to the same stylist for corrections. That approach doesn't feel workable when the issue involves multiple missed basics and a lack of trust in the initial service.

The staff was very attentive to my previous concerns and reassigned me with a lovely provider! Each visit, from the front desk to the services with my tech Morgan, has been great so far! The aftercare and product suggestions given by Morgan are always helpful and informative. She makes sure that I'm comfortable and receiving services that I am happy with. Lastly, during my last visit they appeared to be renovating the lobby area. But these renovations did not appear to interfere with the services being provided. I'm usually in and out for my appointments without any issues or feeling rushed. I can appreciate the staff and services provided.
