Before starting, I clearly explained to Chris that with my hair texture, blow drying alone would not be sufficient and that a flat iron was necessary. Despite this, he disregarded my concern and only blow dried my hair. On top of that, he left midway through the appointment to get something to eat, which was very unprofessional. Thankfully, Sam stepped in to help. She straightened my roots and curled my hair, and she did a great job fixing what she could. However, since the rest of my hair was never properly flat ironed, it became curly and frizzy again shortly after I arrived at my event. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Long story short, Marissa reached out to me, saying the manager keilani will reach out to me and make it right, never heard from anyone and when I attempted to reach out crickets.

If you've read my recent review about another salon I went to in Dublin you'll see why Avani salon was a breath of fresh air for me. I made an appointment on a friday and so excited they could fit me into their busy schedule. I was told over the phone that Debbie would be the one cutting my hair. I came in took a seat and I was asked by one of the stylist if I wanted some hot tea. From the start I'd say what a way to make you feel welcome. I didn't take her up on the tea, but was glad she offered. I told Debbie what I wanted and she did exactly what I asked for! Wow! It's was a miracle! Nothing lost in translation and I think I was done in less than 40 minutes. I asked for a straight cut about 3 inches and a shampoo, that's it. Overall this place is great and I'm so glad I hit the jackpot and I can't wait to come back. Debbie was quick, efficient and friendly. Since I was new to the area she gave me some tips on places to try out and I had a great time getting to know her.
