I love getting pedicures and gel manis here. They were able to take me as a walk in- I am so grateful because I hated my last mani from another place. This place uses sanitized tools, new nail files and new buffer for each client. I loved how meticulous my nail tech was. First, my nails are very weak and painful, so I use the gel manicure to strengthen them. Secondly, I have had gel nails that have held up well for 3-4 weeks. Refresh applied a gel manicure and normal pedicure. The manicure lasted a couple of weeks before it started breaking down. The second time I went in I showed them the cracks and chips in the gel and asked if they could use a stronger gel. They assured me they would use an extra layer which should handle the problem. Within 3 days my nails started chipping. By three weeks they were an absolute mess. read more

Everything from deluxe pedicures with sugar scrub and stone massage to gel manis with gorgeous nail art, they can do it all! I routinely bring in inspo pics with cool nail art and they recreate with attention to detail, ease and skill. Jackie is one of the best manicurists, but I have had many techs here and they are always skillful and do a great job. I get so many compliments on my nails from here. This is a fantastic salon. Very convenient location in downtown Pacifica off of Palmetto. One tip is to book in advance, sometimes for walk-ins they are full so it's best to call them a few days in advance and make an appointment. I am new to Pacifica , so I figured why not "call around" to see who has the best price in town ? Refresh had the best prices in Pacifica . For both manicure and pedicure. The salon was clean a very up to date . There were a good number of new model massage chairs. The salon was fully staffed , especially for a Tuesday early morning. They had so many beautiful choices for regular polish , gel polish and also colored acrylic powder. It was really hard to choose ! My stylist , who I got the impression was the owner or manager, showed me a new "plant based " sheer and also odorless and tasteless gel polish. I absolutely love the results! My stylist mentioned that she had been doing nails for over 20 years , and she was so quick and efficient, including one of the best post manicure hand massage I have ever had ! Update on the stamp card - If you pay with cash, you will get a stamp card. For every $300 paid in cash is a free regular pedicure. Came here on Saturday afternoon with my sister and cousin. We made an appointment a week in advance. They are pretty busy on Saturdays. We got gel pedicures and a gel manicure. Service was good. The gel pedicures came with a foot scrub, hot stone massage and a hot towel. Also you can use the massage chairs during your pedicure. The gel manicure came with a massage and hot towel. Only thing to note is if you get a bright gel polish color definitely double check how it looks as they apply. My sister got the white gel polish and she didn't noticed it looked sheer until the end. Also the employee had put 3 coats of the white. I got mauve gel polish #26 and the first two coats were also sheer. Definitely needed the third coat to look opaque. read more

For the men. For work I'm on my feet in leather steel toe and shank boots majority of the day so my feet are bad, I come here 3 to 2 weeks always clean and great service for years. First and last time I will ever shoe my feet but since I love these ladies. I want to show how great my toes look and how soft my feet feel! For the woman, I notice on rainy days some complaints from the fumes acrylic nails (seen in person) just know they do a great job with ventilation on dry days but if your pregnant or have sensitive smell. Read the low rated reviews if you're thinking about getting dip nails here. I just got mine done and they OBVIOUSLY use cheap products and don't know how to properly do these nails. Google contact dermatitis from dip nails. They use cheap powder that has certain chemicals which is an extreme irritant to your skin. My entire body broke out into hives because of anywhere I touched with my nails, immediately started itching. I was recommended to this place by a friend, and i made an appointment for 10am, and the shop wasn't even open yet. Apparently they were stuck in traffic on the bridge....totally fine. I go to get Gel X Extensions, and Jackie is the lady doing my nails. She says not many people get these, they're not that popular at her store...I've been getting Gel X Extensions for a while now at another place. So I decided to try Refresh....TOTAL MISTAKE! Literally the second day I had the nails they started popping off! They didn't even stay on for the trip I originally got them for. I spent like $75 (including tip) and it was a total waste of money! I had an appointment already scheduled and obviously I didn't go, but I still have the gel on my real nails. Waste of time and money. Called in the morning and was able to snag a lunchtime pedicure appointment for the same day. The salon is clean, bright and set up nicely. They offer a basket with so many color options that you can select from (rather than choosing the polish from a wall and handing it to the tech). The temp of the water was really hot in the beginning, had to very slowly lower my feet in the bath over time. The pedicure was great - gentle, soothing scrub, warm stones, nice massage as well. Do NOT go here for DIP NAILS. They refuse to use the dip top coat, give you serious attitude about requesting it, and they tell you they do not have it. Gel top coat on DIP nails will peel within days. Total rip off to be charged the full $50 then have to pay them their tip for nails that won't last. Also, its not true that dip top coat doesn't dry fast. It dries very fast! They'll try to tell you this and argue with you that all of their clients request gel top coat because it dries fast and looks better. BS! Nail tech admitted to me that the only reason why they do not have dip top coat is because it isn't cost effective. The dip top coat burns the hair brush off since it is potent and they're probably too lazy to clean the brush well enough for it to last a long time. I've been coming here for the past 6 years and occasionally dealing with some of these nail tech ladies sh*t when I ask them to fix something I don't like, even though they all know I tip well. Time for me to go to another salon! Too many out there to settle for one with poor customer service. TLDR: DON'T USE GEL TOP COAT ON DIP NAILS, IT DOES NOT LAST LONG. Came in for a pedicure and full set - both were so underwhelming. I went to another nail salon right after to get another pedicure. Full set: I got the lady that had the head set on (didn't get her name) but she seemed to know what she was doing until she got to my full set. When she was gluing the tips on, I could tell they were getting crooked. Then she put on the powder and it was all over the place with how much she put on. Then came the filing and that's where it went all down hill. At no point did she look at the rest of the nails to check if they were the same length or even look. At the end, I got nails that were so uneven, I can't even wear them to the wedding this weekend. I'm planning to get them off today. She left all this skin on the sides of my nails, it just looks so sloppy. Pedicure: umm, great they offer a ten min massage but if they don't actually take off any cuticle skin or try to shape your nails, is it really a $25 pedicure? And wow did Annie do it! My nails look wonderful and just like the pic! I really like this nail salon and would highly recommend making an appointment because they are busy! I've been going here for awhile now (left my old shop for them) and i love their work, the ambience, and cleanliness! Van and Misty are amazing at doing my gel nails and getting the right shape. I'm updating my review because I don't like their scheduling. I always get a gel mani and deluxe pedicure but it takes almost two hours. I'm used to them working on both at the same time so that I'm out in an hour. Just make sure when you book you tell them you want it done at the same time. Refresh Nail you need to fix your scheduling then I'd give a 5 star rating. Also whoever I spoke to today was rude. Think about your customers and the service you provide them. Negative 5 stars! So I've been coming here for years and the one time I get called into work and forget to cancel my appointment, they instantly put me on a black list! I am nurse and work long unpredictable hours caring for others in hazardous COVID conditions and this how they treat people? Not even Kaiser black list people when they miss their appointments. What a joke! What makes me furious is that the only way I found out that I was black listed was that I was calling with my own cellphone # using most the time I had for my break, which evidently someone blocked because I couldn't reach them. I called again with my work # and someone finally picks up. While confirming my appointment she recognizes my # and says I'm blacklisted because I missed my appointment. And I remind her of the situation and tell her I got called into work that day and mistakenly forgot. She was not nice and said you're blacklisted and can't make an appointment over the phone, you'll have to walk in. And this was literally the first appointment I missed! As professionals, you need to notify your customers of this BLACK LIST that you have prior to offering service. She could have said this is a warning for next time. If you book and cancel again we will put you on a black list. If you really want no cancellations, maybe instill a non refundable deposit! I don't need to tell you what to do... If I were to compare Refresh to a restaurant, I would liken it to In-N-Out. Good quality at a good price. Fast and convenient. If you're looking for a soothing spa experience, I would say that this is not it. They are packed with people and this place is bustling. My nail technician got right down to business (no small talk, which I like), and wasn't very gentle. But my nails looked good, so no complaints over here. Refresh is very good at what they do and they are priced well too ($20 w/o tips for gel removal and reg mani), hence the masses of people. I made an appointment 2 days prior for their first morning slot on a weekday and they were able to squeeze me in, but it was packed when I arrived. I love Refresh! My top three favorite nail technicians: Anne , Linda & Van. Van is so sweet it's hard not to love her. I got Linda recently, and she really made my little nubs look great. I have horribly thin nails (that I bite). Before i first started coming here a couple years ago, referred by my mom, I have a terrible phobia of nail salons because everyone always hurts me (mainly because of the thin nail problem). My mom put me on the phone with Anne (owner), and I explained why I really didn't want to come to the salon (LOL, so dramatic), but she assured me I would be taken care of & they would be gentle with my hands....years later and they still treat me with care. I'm one of those "couple times a year" clients, but I won't go anywhere else. My last visit with Linda was amazing. I had gotten acrylics put on about a month prior, and was in desperate need to get them taken off, I booked an appointment and came in to get the acrylic off and get a gel manicure; when I sat down and had my nails analyzed, Linda knew she couldn't take the acrylic off without my nails getting damaged/uneven. She filed down the acrylic to a natural thin state and did a fabulous cleanup and color! I couldn't be happier with Refresh. PRO TIP: Make an appointment, they get really booked up!!!! Very EXPENSIVE for a simple gel pedicure!!! I JUST left this place and before paying the person doing my nails & another worker were debating on their language on how much to charge me... The person doing my nails said $30 the other lady said $40.. I questioned and said isn't it $30 and she said no, it's $40. This was my first time here and I called and they took me, place didn't look busy when I walked in. The person doing my nails did a great job but no conversation whatsoever, she cut me on my big toe and the massage was like 5 seconds. For $40 they should be adding all these different type of amenities for their pedicures. Most places I go to charge $30-$35for gel manicure and give a 10 mins massage w/ added hot stones. My biggest nail salon pet peeve is having to wait beyond my appointment time- Refresh gets it right every time. I've been here 3 times and haven't had any issues with having to wait. Bravo!! They're also the only place who was able to do a French ombré with gel instead of acrylic. I left very happy with my mani each time. The young woman who did my pedicure was nice however she didn't speak English at all I was very disappointed because I take medication for thinning blood due to the fact I have an aneurysm she had no clue what I was talking about I even used the google translator and she had a blank look on her face then I had asked what the difference was between the regular and the deluxe pedicure the woman who seems to be in charge told me absolutely nothing I was irritated by then in the end they wanted to charge me $42-$47-$31 so what the hell I said I'm paying for the service they provided I paid $25 and $5 tip the woman put all the cash together as if I didn't leave her a tip so damn confusing anyway I won't be returning that's for sure. read more
