But once I was able to get out-and-about, I called to make an appointment. Everyone was very helpful and patient with me. I paid this new stylist hundreds of dollars in tips for over 2 years until mid-January of 2025. I also paid Robert of Philadelphia for color and cut for myself and my sister at over $800 per visit - totaling thousands of dollars from 2022 until January 2025!!! I had last been to Robert of Philadelphia during the Christmas 2024 season. On January 3, 2025, I underwent Cardiac Angioplasty with 3 stents at Rooney Heart Institute and have been recovering since the surgery. I made an appointment in mid-January to make "me feel better" by covering my gray hair and getting my shoulder-length blunt cut trimmed. The stylist was so excited about another client who was flying in for the day that she was not focused at all on me. She paid so little attention to me that she butchered my hair!!!! While my hair was wet, I screamed when I saw that she had cut off over 3 1/2 inches and chopped off the back of my hair to be shorter than the front!! She told me that once it was blown dry, it would be the same shoulder length, straight-across blunt cut I always had. She also, in a very dismissive tone, told me -- "you were going to get hair extensions anyways." With that she handed me over to another stylist and left the salon. The second stylist confirmed that my hair really was barely chin length and at different lengths front to back. The two salon receptionists also confirmed that this was not what I had requested and did not charge me for this fiasco. I have made several attempts to contact the owner, his daughter or his son, but they have refused to respond. I went to get extensions at a top Naples salon. I was told they couldn't help as the cowlick in the back of my head would always separate. So bottom line, I will have to look for a wig at my own expense. As I have at least 4 witnesses who can be deposed that my hair was botched, I've been advised to sue for the cost of a wig. This is how caring and client oriented this salon is - especially to a long-time client who only wanted to "look better" after 6 hours of cardiac surgery!! Shame on the salon. Shame on their stylist.

Jon Carlos was top notch! I moved to Port Charlotte from Chicago and was in desperate need of finding a talented colorist and hair stylist. After two failed attempts in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area I was blessed to find Jon online and reviewed his amazing results and reviews. From the moment I arrived he took time to sit with me and really listened and was extremely perceptive to what was going on with my hair. I was in desperate need of color repair which at the time of arrival was a shade of red/orange and overall hair repair. I am getting married in three months so you can understand the urgency and desperation I felt. He was able to transform my tresses into a beautiful blond color and eliminated all traces of orange or red blotchy color. He also provided recommendations on repairing the health of my hair. I have one more appoinment with Jon before the big day and I feel good that my hair will be in great shape by then. Hair is such an extension of a woman's beauty and when you don't have beautiful locks you can see it in photos and feel it. Every single time! I've met good hair colorists in the past but I have to say that no one until I met Jon Carlos was able to be as consistent as he is on his colors, over the last years he was able to bring my hair color to look and feel amazing, my hair got longer without compromising it's health. No lines, no stripes, no brassy weird looking colors. I always thought that was impossible to grow the hair without having style, he proved me wrong. He is straight forward on his comments. He doesn't say what you expect to hear, he says how it is and if is possible or not to achieve what you looking for and guess what? It works. A couple years ago when I felt my hair was totally healed I went somewhere else to do something I always wanted to have and he always said it wouldn't work for me, he was right. I hate to admit but he was right. When I came back to him, he was very polite but he said: "I am glad you are back (with his sexy Brazilian accent) but I only fix hair once, if you live again just make sure they don't destroy your hair". Jon is the BEST person that has ever done my hair!!!! He also has been the one person to cut my son, daughter and hubby's hair. I have known Jon for many many years and I have always gotten complements on my hair. He is an AMAZING stylist and is a GENIUS with color!!!!! He really listens and will also give you suggestions. Jon is probably the most honest person I have ever met! He listens to everything you have to say and if he thinks it's not a good look for you he will say it in a truly professional manner and will work with you to achieve the look that will work with you. Not only honest but compassionate, while sitting with color on my own hair, I over heard him with some other guests and I was truly amazed at how nice he was to everyone that he came in contact with! Jon is an absolute miracle! I came to him when my hair was falling off by the handfuls. I had been going to a subpar stylist that over the years had fried my hair beyond belief. In no time at all I have the healthiest hair ever, that even I hardly recognize.
