Jon did an outstanding job touching up my roots today. My hairdresser from Indiana had provided the formula and Jon discussed that with me in detail. I told him I wasn't sure if I also needed my highlights refreshed, but Jon did not recommend that even though he had allotted enough time to do both my roots and highlights. He was so kind even though he wasn't going to get as much business from me. Ironically, his next client had not scheduled highlights but decided she needed it and Jon had time so it all worked out. I know it is harder to just touch up roots, but Jon really did a great job. I would highly recommend Jon Carlos! Nice guy, very thorough, and he does excellent work. read more

He cut practically all my hair off and what he left he texturized. I'm 70 years old and work hard to get my hair think. Now it just lays on my head and looks horrible. I don't know what to do with it and I have a "wing" on either side of my head. I'm just going to have to stay away from mirrors for the next 6 months. I went for a haircut and highlight/color. The haircut was fine, the highlights/color was terrible. He didn't listen to what I wanted. Basically, put dark color on my hair and I had to go to another salon to get it fixed. Also, if you do not want to speak to anyone for the entire time you are there, he is your guy. Not only does he do an awesome job with color and style, he works magic on my hair with keratin to make it straight, shiny, and beautiful - with no maintenance! Sorry to add an opposite opinion but I chose to go to Jon because of all the positive reviews. I have short hair and know how hard it is to find a good hair cut. It took two months to get an appointment - expected due to high season. I expected a normal amount of time allotted for my hair cut, but instead he spent 10 minutes total to cut and dry my hair. I was literally in his place and back in my car within 30 minutes, including the time it took to talk about what should be done with my hair and pay. That is the time it takes for my son's hair cut at a barber shop - And my hair looks like it was cut at a barber shop. I was shocked to be done so fast. I have always had hair cuts that people tell me look so good - but this time - I am actually getting - "did you want it to be so choppy?" I have highlights (done at another place) that now look broken and awkward - he took no time to blend the bangs and angle the cuts. For me, he didn't do a good job for the price paid - instead of a $95 hair cut it should have been $25. I did leave an additional 20% tip because at the time I was hoping I would get home and be pleasantly surprised by how good it looked - but I was wrong. Jon Carlos is the consummate artist and master technician. I am always nervous about having my hair cut/colored but I decided I needed a change. In all Jon Carlos spent 4 1/2 hours with me with half of those hours just deciding what we were going to do with my hair.
