She understands the science of hair and explained everything to me in terms of how fine hair is structured and the best way to care for it. She is a true artist when I comes to making your hair look fabulous. She has her own private suite in a building in an upscale strip mall where other stylists also have their own private rooms. I'm not the type who likes to linger for half a day in a salon, and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. She was very personable during my appointment, and very fair in her pricing. I found Laura online about 5 years ago and she is excellent! She is consistently quick to respond to my requests for an appointment and willing to be flexible. One of the things that I really like about her is that she has 'technical' experience - not sure how else to say it, but she explains why a style would look good on me from a more technical standpoint than just "because your face is narrow". She goes in depth with an expert understanding of the art of hair! She has explained to me the difference between the permanent and semi-permanent dyes, and she is very helpful in providing tips for styling, etc. I appreciate her knowledge and expertise -- she obviously is passionate about her work! I always get compliments on my hair after leaving her salon. The salon suites are a cool idea. It's private and I never feel rushed. Also, one of the reviews said you can only pay by check or cash -- that is not true. I pay with a credit card every time. She's worth every penny and I don't think her rate is extraordinary, by any means. I've paid far more for far less in Naples. Can I get an amen? read more

I would like to update my review. As Laura responded to my previous one and as she said would happen in her response - to be fair, the color toned down after two weeks and is now much better. The highlights also are better after several washings. I believe there is more of a communication problem. I told her I was coming for highlights and hair trim and expected to pay around $200. She instead colored my roots, did highlights and a glaze without asking if I wanted this and quoting me a price. I was shocked to pay well over $300. But she does know color and the cut was excellent. I would recommend her, but warn that she is pricy. read more
