The overall experience was less than satisfactory due to the other employees horsing around on chairs making videos on their phones. I called in and they said the stylist in training was available that day and ask what cut I wanted. I said I wanted a long bob cut. When I came in on time for my appointment I was greeted by Cyrell and asked to wait until she my stylist was finished with a client. While waiting another stylist was continually dropping swear words which I felt was really unprofessional and somewhat careless to customers. I waited 20mins after my appointment to be helped. Before we started I shared all I wanted for a cut and showed pictures of the cut. She said ok and washed my hair. While washing my hair she said she was in training and was going to ask her mentor for help. When I got back in the chair she said she has never done the cut I wanted and while Emily was passing by she said "hey Emily can you help me with a cut I've never done before?" Emily said sure and looked at the photos of the cut I wanted. Before I could explain reasons for the cut, like it fits my face shape ect. she immediately said "are you going to style your hair exactly like this everyday?" I answered no....and wanted to continue to explain...but she interrupted me after saying no and immediately said "you are going to f@$&"$& hate this cut every day if you don't style it exactly like this photo. You know everybody picks Pinterest photos and expects to look just like that but you will F$&@8$& hate it, I promise you." I immediately felt uncomfortable and answered with a confused look on my face sharing that I've had this cut many times before and even showed pictures simply because she continued to explain that I won't like this cut. I started to get a feeling she didn't want to teach this hair cut or she didn't know it herself... this was when I should have gotten up and paid for the wash and left. She continued saying, "you could always get a different cut today and if you don't love it you can come back and get this cut." I was pretty disappointed to be so heavily advised away from what I had carefully selected and had in the past. She said "if you want the cut we can do it it's up to you but your gonna hate styling it like this every day and your hair is going to flip out on the bottom but if you want we can do it." I answered "I would like this cut" and asked if they need to see anymore photos she said no but asked to see the photos throughout the cut. Emily cut my whole hair, she left her client to cut my hair because my stylist didn't know the cut, I sort of felt bad and apologized for taking so much of her time. She shared that her trainee had only seen this cut once so she needed to teach her but I noticed she didn't explain a lot during the cut and she then called upon the owner of the salon for the back of my hair. Emily asked Cyrell "why is her hair doing this? I continue to cut it then check it and it keeps doing this, what's going on?" Then Cyrell left her client to fix the back of my hair. I shared I didn't want the back too short. My hair in the front was long but the back just kept getting shorter as they tried to correct the issue. I had to ask to see the back and there was a large chunk right in the middle on the top layer in the back of my hair. The back went up like an upside down V It was so clear Emily didn't know how to do this cut and Cyrell was now a fixing issue. As soon as Cyrell started on my hair Emily didn't speak to me anymore. This entire time I was so uncomfortable, that 3 stylists needed to cut my hair and leave their clients and they continued to make excuses and put blame on other factors or even me. Cyrell said "your hair shows every cut, have you ever had a haircut where you can see every cut? It's just how your hair is" I had to ask if they saw the chunk left in the back and what could they do to fix this? Cyrell answered she will have to cut it more. I eventually just told them to stop and that it was enough. The appointment was over 2 hours for a hair cut and I've never been more uncomfortable getting my haircut. I need to wait for my hair to grow out more before I can fix it unless I want a pixie length cut. I just wish there was more honesty and less intimidation with a stylist cussing at me on the topic of the cut I picked because it was clear they didn't know how to do this cut. I think they are talented and passionate about color and wish I could have tried a color but sadly after this experience I just simply wouldn't feel welcomed back and there is now such a lack of trust due to the unprofessional way Emily behaved and Cyrell continuing to make excuses. I wish my stylist the best and hope she is able to grow in the field in the best way possible. Update: Cyrell gave me a call and She shared that she wanted to reach out and offered to schedule and consult and to fix the cut. She was so nice and not only listened really well but showed so much passion for her company to grow. We scheduled a time and I'm hopeful for the cut to be fixed read more

Outside from her doing amazing hair transformations for that mop I have on my head, she's also super sweet and realistic when it comes to hair. If you come to her with black box dyed hair and want pure silver white in one session, this is not the girl to go to. Why, because she cares about the health of your hair and will give you professional advice as what's best for you and your hair. I'm pretty bad at keeping updated on my cuts and baylage so its shocking to see the before and after pictures of my hair. I have to say my hair always looks fabulous after I leave her chair. It's a hard no for me. They have a sign inside saying something about it being "a vibe"... It's a weird vibe. I walked in on a slow morning to get a feel of the place. I was greeted by looks of fear and annoyance, as I was clearly interrupting a session they were doing on a mannequin head. Granted, I'm mixed with long, curly hair, so I didn't expect this kind of salon to be enthusiastic about working with my hair. And they clearly weren't. So they send the only brown girl over to assist me. (because adults still self-segregate). She was lovely, however the other people in there gave off a weird vibe as if my kind was not welcome "round these parts". I just had my first color and cut at this salon. The salon is very clean, they took all the covid precautions and it's decorated so cute! Emily did a great job on my hair and got it exactly right! We spent several minutes consulting before she got started, and she listened to all my requests/concerns. Emily offered her professional advice and I couldn't be happier with the end result! Can I just say how much I love this salon! It's been a long time since I had my hair cut at a salon! Honestly I needed a mommy lift me up! Lol being stuck in the house the past year! Cyrell is my favorite hair master by far. Getting my hair done is something I rarely do mostly because I hate making small talk with the stylist. Cyrell and I hit it off like we've been friends for years. Her sense of humor is great and she's really easy to talk to. I've followed her from one salon to her own private space over the past year. She genuinely listens when you talk and remembers stuff we talked about 6 months earlier! She is also great at listening to what I want to do with my hair and has gotten me out of my comfort zone when it comes to color. Before Cyrell, I had extremely unhealthy hair, I went to someone that cut all my real hair off and I was devastated for months. I found Cyrell through a friend of mine and based off her Instagram I knew she could help. The first time I went to Cyrell she knew exactly what to do. Cyrell is absolutely amazing! What I love about her is that she is completely honest. I told her that I wanted to dye my hair lavender and that I wanted it to last. She told me straight up that lavender was a fashion color that fades quickly, she suggested I did a violet color instead. I'm so glad she did! I know this is long, but I want to provide a clear and accurate review. I found Cyrell through Instagram and immediately fell in love with her work. I've had my hair professionally dyed blonde for about ten years, but I had it dyed darker in June because I was tired of the maintenance. In late August, I began to miss my blonde hair and knew I wanted Cyrell's help in going back blonde. I emailed her to schedule a 15-minute consultation (as required) and didn't hear back from her for about a week. My mom came with me to my consultation because she needed to drive me - I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and didn't want to drive on the pain medication. While we were there, my mom and Cyrell talked about my mom's hair as well. It was clear that we had been there more than 15 minutes, to which my mom and I both made sure was okay, as Cyrell had another client waiting outside. We both ended up booking with her - late October for me and late November for my mom. Since both of our appointments were far out, we asked if she may be able to do anything in between then and our color appointments. She scheduled me for a color removal treatment (to start getting some of the darker dye out) and a haircut and scheduled my mom for a "toner melt" and a haircut. At my appointment, Cyrell was informative and thorough, although a few things stood out to me as being unprofessional. She made negative comments about another local hair stylist (and showed me this stylist's Instagram) and told me stories about the salon owner she used to work for. She also made a negative comment about a mother and daughter duo that complimented her hair in the Kyle HEB. That said, I was still excited for my October color appointment until I heard about my mom's experience shortly after. My mom was there for several hours and said everything went well, but she received a text from Cyrell the following day, which said, "After yesterday's appointment, I've come to the conclusion that your case requires more time and attention than I have available. I think you'd be better suited following up with another stylist. I can make some recommendations for someone or give you your formulas from last night to make the transition easier." My mom then received automated text messages confirming her future appointments were canceled. My mom responded to Cyrell's text asking for some clarification, but she never received a response - not even with stylist recommendations or the formulas. The most disappointing part about it is that Cyrell had cut my mom's hair that Friday evening with the intention of putting a few extensions in my mom's hair on Monday (which Cyrell booked with her that evening) - so my mom was left with half-cut hair and canceled appointments. Today (a few weeks after my mom's experience) Cyrell posted on Instagram stating, "I'm building my perfect clientele of amazing women and men that have respect for not only what I'm doing but for me as well. If you aren't a good fit I won't be keeping you on as a client. It's nothing personal I'm strictly setting my standards and holding people to them. I want to feel happy when doing hair. I want to enjoy providing people with the best quality services I can. I want to go home smiling. If your appointment gives me anxiety I'm saying bye!" Don't get me wrong, I respect when individuals know their limits and when to slow down, but the way in which she handled my mom's situation was uncalled for and unprofessional. Based on her Instagram post, it sounds like Cyrell is (or will be) dropping many clients. I've already canceled my future appointments, but I hope she cancels her other clients more gracefully than she did with my mom. I'll also add that if you're used to (or looking for) a high-end salon experience, you won't find it here. Your appointment will take place in an individual room, where her station, bowl, and products are crammed. You won't see any luxury products, such as Kérastase, Oribe, Kevin Murphy, etc. With all of that said, Cyrell is talented, but if you want professionalism and consistency, you may want to look elsewhere. read more
