I was very nervous with trusting someone new with my hair after going to the same fabulous woman in Vegas for almost 10 years. After lots of online research, I ended up right around the corner from our new house at MC Hair Salon and in the hands of Miss Claudia. She is FANTASTIC. She's the tomato soup to my grilled cheese sandwich. She's the marshmallows to my hot chocolate. She made me instantly feel comfortable, and her skills did not disappoint one bit! I told her what I was looking for with my haircut, and it was EXACTLY what I asked for. I was nervous when she suggested to cut more than I was planning to, but TRUST IN MISS CLAUDIA! My hair is SUBSTANTIALLY healthier and happier. All the layers but not too many. She didn't thin my hair or use a razor on it. She didn't use a ton of product when giving me my simple blowout at the end and it was just naturally flowy and FUN. As I was leaving the gentleman waiting for her agreed she was THE BEST. I felt sassy and classy, and it was honestly the pep in my step that I've needed after moving here and not getting to really stop unpacking and organizing yet. She is kind, and so was the other woman there translating for her. 5/5 experience. No IG backgrounds in the salon, no floral/green leaves walls or boujee mimosa service, and it doesn't need it when you are doing quality work and really listening to your customers. I like MC Salon. No hoity-toity atmosphere, and I think it is a great place for both women and men. Prices reasonable. Claudia has cut my hair 3 times, and I plan to go back! She seems quite the veteran, has good suggestions, but listens to what you ask for. It is a family-run business, as Claudia's daughter works there also, and is bilingual. They are both very sweet, and we had a few laughs, too. Nice place - larger and very clean. They do sell some products, but aren't pushy about selling them. I am 67, with graying brown hair, naturally curly. Claudia does my layer cut just right, so I can style, or go "natural". BTW, while there recently, a man was getting a color job with another stylist, and was absolutely thrilled with it! Highly recommend MC in Kyle! read more

They squeezed me in at 5 pm on a Saturday and messaged me back very fast. Salon was very clean and efficient. Cristina did my hair and evened out my terrible Covid box color issues. She also gave me the best haircut I've had in years! The staff are gracious and friendly and very hospitable. They were still open when I left at 7! This is definitely my new favorite place, I'm totally coming back!! Side note- if you're one of those uneducated people who thinks English is the only language to speak in 'murica this place is probably not for you. Christina saved my day! My roots were basically a crime scene and I wanted my light dirty blonde hair lifted to an ashy blonde. Another salon literally laughed at me. It worked out because I discovered this little hidden gem. She gave me full highlights and toned everything. My roots now make sense with the lengths and it looks so natural. I will be coming back for my hair needs as these ladies were so welcoming and knew exactly what to do with my hair. Also, as I mentioned another salon turned me away, but Christina took me in as a WALK IN ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON. Unheard of. I was extremely apprehensive about going back to a salon after 3 years of NO SALON. I cut my own hair. 63 salt and pepper who can no longer dye my hair due to auto immune condition and all chopped up. Adrianna spoke with me while I was getting the cut to calm me down. I took this GREAT chance after a recommendation and I HAVE NO REGRETS. We discussed who I am, what I wanted and I even had a few photos. Claudia gave me back a life I thought was long gone. I shed a tear to see a new me. She took the dowdy and turned it into dramatic. I felt exhilarated after leaving her salon. I was honest and told her I don't show up for a few months and she said 'that's ok, the cut will turn into the second photo you showed me.' Claudia did an amazing job this past weekend for my Christmas haircut. It was my first haircut with her and MC Hair Salon and I will be returning there for my next haircut. I got a haircut, shave, wash and eye waxing and it was almost therapeutic and spa like. She cut my toddler's hair as well and did a fun color spray with green and red Christmas colors for him. This is hands down the worst haircut I have ever had. I asked for curtain bangs and got blunt cut bangs. My layers are uneven as well as my bangs. Not to mention the stylist used dirty brushes to cut and style my hair. The whole experience was extremely unprofessional and beyond upsetting that I sat in my car after the cut and cried for 20 mins. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ever. read more

Let me preface this by saying I have never left a negative review anywhere. I trusted this place with my hair and am disappointed with everything they did. I wanted a tint of red/pink, and now have permanent fiery red hair. I have washed it 6-7 times since I got home 4 hours ago, but still on fire. I request a long Bob - they said they could do, but I now have a straight cut at the length that was supposed to be the shortest length of my Bob, and lost a lot of length in the front. I went elsewhere to get help making it look better. I got nothing I asked for and left worse off. My hair looked better before I let them touch it. I don't want to use color stripper and damage my hair, so there isn't much I can do now but share my experience. read more

I wasn't too thrilled when I had to go back to get my hair fixed. I told Claudia I wanted a trim and when she showed me at the beginning it was only about an inch that she would be cutting off - it was definitely more than that. One side looked like a v-cut and the other side was more of a u-cut. The layers that she cut were choppy and didn't blend well with the rest of my hair. In order to fix it she had to cut it even shorter and my goal from the beginning was to keep it as long as possible. In addition to this, I got my hair colored and I showed her a picture of how my hair previously was and I just needed a touch up and she didn't even get close to what it was. My hair was a dirty blonde and now it's basically platinum. I told her I wanted my natural roots to show but instead she colored it all. On top of that, underneath there's a blue tent to my hair. Thankfully it's underneath but I was shocked to find that out when my mom noticed it and asked what the heck happened. Claudia and the other young lady in there were very nice and understanding when I came back in and I felt horrible for having to tell them every little problem that was wrong with it but then again I shouldn't have to go back in to have my hair fixed after trusting someone to do it. read more
