I wrote a review on the Salon's website , but they took it down. I think it is a disservice to potential customers to not see the bad reviews, only the positive ones. My appt was at 8:15 in the morning. She was 25 minutes late. I had a group on for $144 for a haircut, deep conditioning, partial highlights and blow out. I showed her the color of the highlights that I had as some were growing out. Not only did Lisa, the owner, not match my highlights, but you can't even tell I got them done. I didn't need the haircut, so I just had curtain bangs. There are different kinds of curtain bangs, but she didn't ask, she just cut them. There are barely any bangs cut. Then, she washed my hair and talked on the phone the whole time, which that is supposed to be relaxing part of appt. She didn't leave on the deep conditioning, just rinsed it out. She applied toner. She did NOT ask me if I wanted toner, she just put it on. I asked for a blowout and she said she wasn't sure she had time, but she ended up doing it. She didn't use product before she blew it dry or afterwards. It was a humid day and some anti frizz would have been good. She didn't even use hair spray! Once I was checking out, she charge me $65 extra for the toner. My bill ended up being $210. When I first posted on her website, she answered and said she used product which is a lie. She said toner was OPTIONAL which I wasn't given an option. She said you could see the highlights which you can't. She didn't address being 25 minutes late. She also talked on the phone when she was blow drying my hair. People that look at her website will see positive reviews because Lisa , the owner, takes the neg down. I do NOT recommend this salon. It's not a good experience and her prices are ridiculous. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Thank you. read more

I have been going to Lisa for more than 5 years! She is amazing. She not only does great work but she takes her time she evaluates your hair listens to your request and does it. I wanted to go all the way blonde back in 2020 she definitely got me there without damaging my hair. Then most recently I had gone crazy with dying my own hair she fixed the horrible coloring that was left and gave me a great haircut to go with it :) I am always happy leaving her chair. Not only has she done great work with my hair but she did the hair and makeup for my sisters wedding. I appreciate all her hard work and just love being around her. Went here the past 2 times for eyebrows and they were great. I went here a couple days ago; the wax was too hot and large patches of my skin were removed. The 1st experience was professional, 2nd experience okay, and this last one just downright not professional. I wanted to say I noticed the wax was too hot but the main salon individual was hearing another tenant in the building vent and had a conversation about charging higher prices for a hair style in front of me the whole time. For the paid time, it's down right disrespectful to the client and not kind. I felt that my niceness was taken advantage of given how I am supporting small businesses during these times. What I felt during when I was in the chair, I waited until my eyebrows were done to see if I would be given a mirror. No mirror was given to me and that confirmed what I had thought. My skin had been burned and removed. When I asked how much I owed, I was still charged full price. I paid it because I had a work meeting to run to and would look at it in the car. By then, I was horrified when I saw what happened and thought my eyes were scarred. Even when it was noticed the first time by her, I could have been asked how I was feeling instead of saying nothing. There was multiple opportunities to take ownership over the mistake instead of making it worse. It went above, below, and in the middle of my eyes. I felt that was neglectful. Later on, I was told to get aloe and that my skin was too sensitive; I think that did not make sense because the last two times I went here were okay. I feel that was said out of fear of liability and that was literally 15 minutes after I left. I think the mistake occurred due to the lack of attention and courtesy for the time I paid for. I had to directly write out a note in order for some ownership the next night. This isn't okay - please treat all customers with courtesy and respect try to see your own family and friends in my shoes. Definitely felt I was taken advantage of. This was after the first day of aloe. Much worse when I saw it in my car UPDATE: I was refunded for the service after this review and an apology followed. read more

I have been seeing Lisa for her magically artistic hair styles through several salons for over 5 years. I have followed her business as she has moved from working for someone and now working for herself and her clients. She is that good. Lisa added blue and purple touches to my hair for a fun look. Next she added lowlights and highlights to my hair that gave me a depth of color that made my hair look thicker. Lisa cuts and styles my hair in a way that also adds volume. Important to note for 2020 and beyond, is that her salon is Covid compliant and requires face masks and distancing. Each studio is in a separate room with a closing door. I dropped in for a haircut with Lisa and LOVED my experience. She's setup in her own mini studio within a larger space (with mini studios)... it's almost like walking through a hotel but each room is it's own little studio (either hair, nail, massage, etc). It's a neat setup! She did a great job talking through my needs, carefully washed and dried my hair, spent almost an hour cutting my hair and then did a nice blow out and curl (with a flat iron). I've gotten a lot of haircuts at great salons from San Francisco, New York (where I live now), San Diego and Hong Kong.. and she's one of my top 3. She did a really great job and I love my haircut. I found Lisa Marie on Groupon. My stylist was booked for awhile and my hair was in desperate need of some tender love and care! Luckily she had something available the same day and I decided to give her a try . The hair salon, Mane Trends is very chic and modern; which I loved. I got a cut, style, and partial highlights. Although at the end she informed me that due to my thick humongous hair (my words, not hers lol) I had to pay an extra $20 for extra usage of color, which wasn't a problem, but I still think there should've been a disclaimer that stated that there may be an up charge due to certain hair situations. Regardless, I absolutely L O V E my hair!!! She did a great job and matched my vision as far as color and cut! She was very down to earth and easy to speak to. My mother recommended that I go to Lisa. I came as a walk in and surprinsingly she had time later in the afternoon for a haircut. She has since worked with me for about a year and has taken me from dark Black to blonde and back to Red, my all time favorite. Lisa saved my hair!! I made a serious mistake trying the bleach, yes BLEACH, my hair at home. Let me tell you, it was bad. My hair was so long it touched my butt, so not only did my hair look orange and blotchy, but there was a lot of it! I spent a few days trying to fix my hair myself, cut a few inches off and even tried dying it pink (someone on YouTube said it would take out the orange, guess what, it didn't!). After many failed attempts at fixing my hair, I called Lisa in a bit of a panic, my daughters birthday was coming up and I didn't want to show up to the party looking like.... Well just looking like how I did lol. I had read all of her Yelp reviews and thought I would give her a shot, I was still a little worried because I thought my hair was beyond repair and you cant always trust what you read on the internet but I figure she couldn't do any worse than I had. When I showed up Lisa was so nice, when she looked at my hair she did not seem phased by the state of it, my hair wasn't damaged/over processed by my bleach job, so she was able to work with my hair. I showed her a picture of a long bob with a nice blond and she made my hair look exactly like the picture. She was able to blend the blonde in better with my roots to give me a balayage, she was also able to lighten my hair more and tone out all the orange. Oh and he cut she gave me it great! I was the fortunate highest bidder for a keratin treatment at my sons Fall Festival. I loved her private room. The whole experience was very personable and relaxing. She was really easy to talk to, and gentle with my hair. She took her time and before we started, she thoroughly explained my options and helped me outweigh the pros and cons of both treatments. After getting a perm 2 weeks previously and I was left with hair hanging in my face, straight as a board, (2nd one in 2 years that did not take and was done by the same stylist -- why did I go back?!) I got on Yelp to see who did the 'BEST SALON PERM". Lisa Marie's name kept coming up repeatedly for people who had had misfortunes with other hair stylists with descriptions of their disasters and pics of the results after visiting Lisa Marie for repairs. I called Lisa and she had a slot that day for me to come in and let her look at my hair to see what could be done. I was afraid to get another perm quickly after the previous one, but when Lisa Marie looked at my hair she could tell that the previous perm hadn't really taken and my hair was still in healthy enough condition to do an actual perm that would stay in. I made an appointment for a better perm and shaping the following week and am delighted with the results.
