Out of all of them in Downtown Milford near the Green, the owner of this place is the only one to be a despicable person. So far as the quality of the hair cut, it's nothing special. I've gone to $150+ places in Fairfield/Westport, and sub $50 places in Milford, and for this old lady they all look the same to me.

My salon shut down completely due to COVID and this salon was well reviewed, plus they showcase many photos of beautiful long hair on their website, so I booked an appointment. The only availability I could find was with Suzanne. I came in with very long hair, past my waist. I was asked what I wanted to do, so I told Suzanne I wanted to cut a couple inches off and indicated where I wanted my hair to fall by placing my hand at the length I was interested in (middle of chest length). I was in the chair for maybe 4 minutes, she said she was going to do a dry cut and then we were going to go wash and come back to the chair to finish. She cut it slightly past my shoulders. Internally, I was freaking out. We went to wash, returned to the chair, and she started trimming. She asked how it was and I said, "we can't go back now, but it's way too short". At this point, she gave up doing any sort of layering to make the cut look more flattering, I think out of fear of doing more damage. I told her I wanted my bangs cut, and showed her an example photo of what I wanted my bangs to look like and how I wanted them to be above my glasses. She asked me if I curl my bangs when I dry them and I said I do not, and she proceeded to curl my bangs. I was on the brink of tears at this point and I regret not being more vocal in my appointment, but I couldn't sit there any longer and I said my bangs were fine after about 15 minutes of her trimming small amounts. I got up and paid, then went and cried in my car before leaving. I honestly just wanted to look pretty for the first time in a while and left feeling worse about myself and my decision to book this appointment with a hairdresser I did not know. I have no idea what other peoples' experiences have been with this particular hairdresser, but mine was terrible and I have no plans of returning to this salon. Some positives about the salon: the staff is very nice, the space is newly renovated with a modern and trendy style, and they are conveniently located in Devon right over the bridge from Stratford.

It was very relaxing and she gave me a scalp massage. I was very pleased with the haircut and her attention to detail. She suggested a hair protectant for my hair and styled it nicely.
