I cannot sing the praises of Blew enough!! I was looking for a hair stylist for my wedding on April 19th, 2014 and was lucky enough to receive Marc's name from Sarah Giggar of Giggar Makeup Artistry. I booked a trial hair appointment with Marc and sat in his chair, armed with a few pinterest ideas that I had tagged earlier on. Marc listened to my ideas and created a fantastic up-do that was everything I wanted. He perfected the style during a second trial and I knew I had to have him and his assistant Courtney for my big day!! They arrived bang on time with a plethora of hair gadgets and started working on my four bridesmaids, mother and mother in law. It was a fun filled Gaga infused morning that helped shape for the way for an unforgettable day. Everyone loved Marc & Courtney and they created fantastic hairstyles that showcased the individual styles of all the women. I knew we were in safe hands and cannot thank the both of them enough for their hard work, patience and tremendous talent. I felt like a beautiful bride and would recommend Marc Rolleri and the Blew Salon to every bride or woman looking for a fantastic stylist. The first time I went to Blew was July after not having my hair cut for a while. My normal salon for the last 5 years is in West Haven, and looking for a new/closer to home salon where I could also easily go for a bang trim while saving on gas money would be ideal. Based on reviews, I actually wanted Marc to cut my hair but he wasn't taking new clients, instead he set me up with Christine. I have long fine (yet full) wavy hair to my middle/lower back. I am very specific how I like my bangs cut, and always show pictures. I was also careful to explain how I didn't like too much cut, I always keep my hair long with a few very long layers for movement. The trim was fine, but the bangs weren't really how I wanted them, so I went back 2 weeks later for an adjustment. They weren't perfect but better. Fast forward 2 weeks ago, I go for another trim (an inch) the long layers dusted so I would have more volume and a bang trim/shape, again with a picture or 2 (of the Instagram influencer whose bangs I love). They looked ok yet again not what I asked for when I left. I went back AGAIN to have them adjusted again showing the same pictures. When I washed my hair 2 days later I realized what a horrible CHOP JOB Christine did-the sides are now completely uneven, worst of all not only my bangs but the side of my head by my EARS!!-those pieces were long (middle of my neck at least) and blended in from bangs on down when I walked in. NOW I HAVE TUFTS OF HAIR THAT STICK OUT ON THE SIDES AND THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS FOR MONTHS UNTIL I GROW THEM OUT!!! Thanks Christine for the ridiculous side burns I now have wearing a baseball cap, or any hat Fall into Winter! Great look. A master stylist with "years of experience"?? I was really upset the last few days, now I'm livid. Thank heavens I hadn't make an appointment to have my color done like I enquired on my last hair appointment, I'd probably leave looking like a zebra. Its a shame, because while she is super nice, the salon is cozy & 10 minutes from my house, I am paying for a service, and its the service/cut that falls way short. I have been going to Kristine at Blew for several years. The salon itself is so cozy and inviting. Every person that works there is personable and talented. Kristine does an absolutely amazing job on my color, a gorgeous blonde with low lights, that gets compliments frequently mostly from other blondes. My cuts are always beautiful. I spend a few months a year down south and have not found anyone to do my roots. In fact the only downside to winters down south is no Kristine! She has had to fix a terrible haircut and color for me and I appreciate her talent and enjoy her company as well. I would highly recommend her! read more

I got a cut with Kristine after waiting weeks for an appointment due to lack of openings. This was the worst salon experience I've had in recent memory. First, my neck was not cushioned when she was washing my hair, and I was extremely uncomfortable, even in pain, as it was directly against the edge of the sink. The hair dryer was also painfully hot against my face. I came home and noticed my hair was longer on one side so I went back the next day for a correction. She overcorrected and left my haircut even MORE uneven. After a week, I couldn't stand to look in the mirror anymore so I went to my old salon (they got me in same day I called!) where I got the haircut I had wanted and should've gotten in the first place! This other place cushioned my neck and didn't burn my face with the dryer. Just a complete difference in experience. I will never go back to Blew and do not recommend it. read more

When I moved into town I needed a hair salon in the area. I've been burned in the past by some really bad salon experiences so I was wary for anything new, but decided to give Blew a try based on the great Yelp reviews. I'm so glad I did!! I've been going there for over a year now for my regular haircuts, have had them style my hair for my wedding this past summer, and even had them dye my hair purple with a nice balayage. My hair stylist Serena is awesome. Very friendly, competent, and always up to help me try new things! I discovered Blew when I was looking for a good local salon for my silver hair. I wasn't ready to embrace the gray, but wanted something natural and flattering. Marc recommended Kristine and I was impressed after the first visit. I used to spend a lot a salons in Fairfield County and New York, but I was never thrilled. Now every time I go to Kristine, she performs magic. I now have blonde hair and she will occasionally give me a tinted overall color, like rose gold. It is gorgeous. Any time I have Kristine cut and color my hair, I get compliments from people, even total strangers. On top of all that, everyone at Blew is incredibly nice. Blew is Milford's best kept secret. I've been coming here since it opened and couldn't be happier. As soon as you step inside, you can tell that Marc, Kristine, Courtney and Serena are all a chosen family. The atmosphere is light, airy, and comfortable. Everyone smiles when they leave, happy to have been properly looked after and their hair looks amazing. The color skills of the stylists here are top notch. I've watched them work magic on hair. Marc has been helping me keep my long hair healthy, shiny, and with a fantastic cut and color. I did venture into a short cut a few years ago and the cut was spectacular. He listens to my ideas and will offer ideas to help me get exactly what I'm looking for. He did my hair in an updo for a wedding and I got loads of compliments on it. My daughter has been to both Courtney and Serena, and both have made her feel super comfortable and handled her super curly hair with skill and precision. Blew is quite honestly the BEST hair salon I've ever been to. Marc, Courtney & Kristine are extremely talented stylists, with cut, color, styling - everything!
