I'll start off by saying I got my hair done here for a wedding and it was seamless process for the bride and 8 bridesmaids to get all of our hair done for the wedding. fast forward to my own wedding, I booked hair to be done for myself and 7 bridesmaids/moms. I called back a few months before the wedding to set up a trial and the owner claimed she had no record of me booking hair for my wedding day and told me there was nothing she could do, which left me scrambling to find someone months before my own wedding. read more

Needless to say the moment I walked out the door my hair went poof in the humidity and it was a complete waste of money. $48! This was not the hairstylist's directive. She keeps reference cards on all of her customers, so there is never any question as to what products she used on each client previously, and how long it's been since your last appointment. I've been to Hair House a handful of times only because I prefer my hair long. I recently broke my foot and cannot shower. My long hair was extremely hard to manage in a bath. So I decided to cut it all off. I'm on crutches, they were helpful and patient upon my arrival..Cara was my stylist, she was friendly and seemed very competent. I wanted a short in the back tapered to longer in the front with layers. I didn't have her blow dry.. As I am not in a position at the moment to be attentive to my hair. But a friend told me when she saw the back (as I can't) that it was not even. I did notice that one side is layers and thinner than the other.. So I called and explained and they told me to come in.. My appointment is today at no cost!... crossing fingers. Went to today saw Cara! Greeted by all with enthusiasm and very friendly, Cara did a great job, without judgement, she rocked it! What an amazing group of stylists at the popular salon. They offer a $20. Blowout on Monday's and Fridays, which is a rare form. No where, can you find a blowout under $35. The salon was packed and buzzing on a Monday which is also unusual if you no the industry. Very very friendly staff as well as the patrons. You would think they have known you forever for how easy the conversations were. I love this place. Paula the new owner has this pegged. So sweet. I have been there a few times and have gotten a cut and blowout a few times from Cara and a blowout and curl by Loretta and I highly recommend them both. I'm happy that I found them and will continue to frequent this cool and casual spot. I would give more stars if I could. I'm very impressed!! The hairdresser was extremely rude and was complaining about how thick my hair was and how she didn't have time for me. I had an appointment scheduled so this was so unacceptable. Hair House was recommended by a friend so i decided to book an appointment for my daughter (3). This was going to be her first haircut so i was a little nervous. The salon has a nice decor and everyone was so friendly. I had an appointment with Nikki. I was a complete helicopter mom! Haha. I told Nikki not to take off too much, she just needed a trim. Cami did an OK job on my my ombre color, though it's been a week and my blonde is already brassy. Sadly, I must say that she gave me, hands-down, the worst hair cut I've had in more than 20 years! What was supposed to be a trim became extremely blunt, choppy, and uneven layers around my face. I basically have a weird, longer mullet and I'm so very unhappy about it - especially the fact that this cost me $155. Cami was very nice and I had fun chatting with her. Hair House is exactly what I was looking for; it's a very cute, clean, welcoming salon. The owner seems very attentive to her clientele; in one instance I called to make an appointment on their off day (without realizing), didn't leave a message, but she saw my missed call and called me back to book an appointment. Very great customer service. The first couple of times, Kylee cut my hair and did a fantastic job. Most recently, I had a cut and color with Jackie. Not being too familiar with dying my hair, she was great in guiding me through picking a shade that I would feel comfortable and happy with. Today was my first time at Hair House and I am never turning back ! I went to Natalie with pictures I found off the internet and much to my amazement she matched the color exactly ! She transformed my warm golden blonde to an updated platinum blonde with dark blonde roots and several blended blonde tones throughout !!! I've had good experiences with some of the hair stylists here, but really my biggest disappointment was when I went to get a perm with the one stylist who performs perms (who is no longer there, interestingly right after she did my perm). I wanted larger wavy curls and ended up with very tight, frizzy curls that looked absolutely horrendous when I walked out of the salon. It's a shame too, because I could tell by the looks of the other staff that they knew she had majorly screwed up, but no one stepped in to offer any kind of consolation for the bad treatment. The ends of my hair ended up gooey and have been breaking off over the last month or so and I have these "fishtails" on the ends of my hair that won't curl properly. While I have been able to somewhat work with the curl pattern with creams, it is not at all what I came in to get and I left the salon that day with tears in my eyes about how my hair had turned out. Again, there are still some pretty good hairstylists there now and the young woman working the reception desk is a sweetheart, but I'm just so disappointed with my perm that I don't know if I would go back for any kind of treatment other than a simple haircut. read more

She asked where I got it cut and when I said Hair House in Milford, she said I was the second person to mention Hair House. I told her Camie cut my hair and gave her Camie's business card. This is only my second time getting my hair cut by Camie (I just moved back here from CA). I will keep going to her because her cuts are similar to my hairdresser in San Francisco. Had a horrible experience with Hair House. My wedding got called off for reasons that were out of my control and they refused to give me a credit back for money I deposited. No one in the contract did it say I would not be refunded instead I was given a credit which made me feel like I was forced to stay there. On top of all that the stylist I loved left and I was forced to see people who don't know my hair or how to do it as it can be very stubborn. This was my first time and Melisa did my hair, I came in hoping for a color match or something to even out my roots that were growing in.
