Shortly after my appointment, I noticed multiple serious issues with the installation. There were beads left loose in my hair that were not attached to anything, along with long pieces of string that were never properly secured or trimmed--I had to cut some of these out myself. On top of that, the middle row, which included three wefts, has been completely ruined. Because of this, I will now be forced to purchase entirely new hair if I ever decide to get extensions again. Even more concerning is the damage to my natural hair. I am currently three months postpartum and understand that some hair shedding is normal, but I am experiencing chunks of hair coming out, which I strongly believe is a direct result of improper installation--not postpartum changes. Blaming this entirely on postpartum hair loss is dismissive and ignores the clear errors in the work that was done. When I raised these concerns, they were brushed off. The owner even reached out to me, but offered no real resolution or compensation. After I responded, I never heard back again. The lack of accountability and follow-through is just as unacceptable as the poor quality of the service itself. I had this service done to feel more confident, and instead I am left dealing with damaged hair, ruined extensions, and a significant financial loss from purchasing the hair while i knew going into this it was a training appointment a master stylist should have checked over the work done making sure there was nothing to cause damage. This experience fell far below professional standards, both in workmanship and customer service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone seeking hair extensions.

They're finally starting to make some updates, which may be because Tony has retired. I can usually get an appointment easily. It never takes long to get in the chair, or to get the services I need. I made the mistake of getting an appointment for a trim, and was surprised when they didn't wash my hair first and cut it dry. I've never had that happen before. You actually have to ask for a shampoo, cut and blow dry, or they will just give you a cut. Prices are great, and my trims are always done well.

I completely understood and was ready to accept the fact that it wasn't going to work out when Tony said (without any hesitation at all!) that he would find a way to help me! I honestly couldn't believe it when he said he'd call me back to let me know what he could arrange..Less than thirty minutes later, I received a phone call back from Tony advising me that (amazing) Kimberly would come In EARLY to fix my hair! I was so surprised and thankful that I was almost rendered speechless. This salon owner (and his staff) care so much about their clients that it's completely heartwarming and so rare these days. Kimberly did a beautiful job and additionally, she was so kind and caring throughout the appointment. Even though we just met, I felt like she really understood how devastated I was and was so thoughtful and sympathetic. Nat had already spent 30 minutes plus on my hair this past week so when I walked in to Mango Salon at Greengate today, and I told Nat that I was looking for soft highlights as previous stylists has painted my highlights on my hair. I requested a full head of highlights as well. Much to my surprise, Nat informed me that she could not do my hair because she is a junior stylist and not very experienced. She did not think I would be happy with the result. I was shocked. On a Saturday afternoon before an important event, I was left with no stylist. They could not recommend a more experienced stylist who was available today. I explained that I have had average highlights in the past as well as above average highlights and I was shocked. I am even more shocked that a senior staff member did not try to make things better or try to book something at a later date. Nothing. Crickets. Now I understand why the majority of stylists get experience at Mango and then go out on their own. This was a terrible experience. Not only have they lost a local client, but they have lost another family member as well. I am speechless. I do not recommend Mango at Green Gate.
