When Jessica looked at my hair, she noticed a lot of random short layers throughout that didn't really make sense (which I didn't even realize at first because it wasn't super obvious). She took the time to fix my side bangs and blend everything properly, and my hair looks so much better now. She also did my partner's hair and really listened to the inspiration we showed her. Jessica doesn't rush her work at all she takes her time and really polishes everything toward the end so it looks just right. The lounge itself is clean, cozy, and has a really welcoming vibe. We were lucky to get an early appointment, but I can see why she gets booked quickly, so I definitely recommend scheduling ahead. Highly recommend Jessica. I reached out to Jessica via text and she responded the next day, she asked what I was thinking of doing, asked for pictures of what my hair currently looked like, etc. I was able to send her pictures of what I wanted, she was able to give me an estimate of how much the service would be and was able to get me booked the same week. The salon was easy to find, parking was fairly easy, my appointment was on a Monday morning at 9. I thought it was going to be there for the majority of the day but to my surprise, everything was finished by 12pm. That's when she found this place and I was glad to be able to capture some bts shots. The owner opened up early for us on a Tuesday morning and it was perfect!!! Being in a shop all alone can be a bit odd, especially on your wedding day, but Erin made the bride feel like she was in her hotel and providing some of the best conversations while she worked her skills. The end result was amazing and the style matched the brides' personality to the "T". As the photographer for the entire day, I saw how well the style held up in all the photos. That requires some skills, as we photos in Napa, Sacramento, and then back to Napa Valley all in the same day... and the shots at the end of the day looked just as good as the morning. Ladies, I would highly recommend coming here for blowouts or styles, no matter your hair type, the staff will get your right when you leave for whatever event you have.

The charm of the salon was nice and simple. I love the fact that they book one client for each person so it was only two of us in the building at a time. The products they used on my hair are amazing. The shampoo smelled great and had my hair feeling so clean! I also opted for color this time around so right now I'm happy with it. My hair is so straight! The flat iron lasted so nicely the last time which is why I came back. My appointment was for 2 hours. I was out the door immediately afterward with no delays. I will certainly go back to this place. There is a reason why they have a nice rating. They deserve it.

Unfortunately, because of a time zone issue in their booking system, the appointment was apparently entered as 12:00 PM instead. I use Square regularly in NYC and have never experienced this kind of confusion before. What made the situation especially frustrating was the complete lack of accommodation or understanding when I arrived. I was simply told the issue was noted somewhere on the website, but if this is a known problem, it should be made extremely clear and impossible to miss -- especially for out-of-town clients visiting Napa. They also stated they called me around noon, but I never received a phone call or missed call notification. The experience felt disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. Napa is known for hospitality and customer service, and sadly this business did not reflect that at all. I hope they improve both their booking communication and their willingness to work with customers when issues like this happen.

She makes sure to communicate and confirm the appointment at the beginning of the week. Her pricing is very reasonable and consistent-no surprises. I have never had a "bad" hair experience with her. When I tell her to cut a certain amount, it is always that and never more. I have tried many colors over the years and she always gets it right (some photos attached). I have naturally dark hair and have had many balayages by her as well, none of which have caused any "frying" of my hair. Her products are top quality and she even has some natural options for those with allergies. As far as the salon, it is always clean and comfortable. There are three private suite rooms for each of the stylists. Great background music and overall vibe. It's also in a prime location near downtown. This is not a paid ad but very over due and well deserved. You will not regret trying this salon.

For most of my life I've kept my hair cut low but the last couple of years, I've been growing it out. I've maintained it on my own with a twist it up comb , curling up a little for but started testing out twist curls at home thanks to my husband. I found the shop on line, went to their site and read through all the profiles and Lizzies spoke to me. The shop is warm and welcoming when you come in. They have you wash your hands before you get settled. She washed my hair which was my first time having that done and it felt great. She twisted me up and put my under the dryer and I'm really happy with the results. I'll be back for sure!

I went into Salon 5 a little worried about my hair. I had been to another salon about six months…read moreearlier asking for a highlights, and they sent me on way with an orange brassy mess. It was hard for me to trust again. Ana the hairstylist at Salon 5 reassured me, that she would be able to fix my brassy orange hair. Not only did she fix my hair but she also transform my hair in to something that I've never had. My hair is Beautiful. She listen to everything I said that I wanted. She went above and beyond my expectations. She also added a little pop of color, I wanted purple and it was so beautiful the way she did it. She called that the peekaboo and now ever time I do my hair, I look at it and I just stare. I amazed at how Awesome it looks.
