The Mother-of-the-Bride gets her hair done here on a weekly basis now that she lives in Three Rivers, Michigan, full-time. But I didn't know that. So when we descended on the city for the wedding, I had sort of resigned myself to wearing my hair in a home-do, D-I-Y, you know, the ol' curling iron, blow dryer in the hotel room stylo. When I heard the wet-sets were $10.00, I thought to myself "hey, I can't resist a bargain! But will I have any hair left? Will they 'pick-pick-pick' at my hair while its wet with a fine tooth comb and yank all of the hair out from the root?" The answer is NO THEY DID NOT. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! These women, Jody (my shampoo/setter) and Amy (my stylist), did an EXCELLENT JOB. If I lived here in Three Rivers, MI, I would ONLY get my wet sets there. I was totally, completely, and pleasantly surprised. They are different from me. Their client base is totally different from me. I am quite sure they are not too used to doing hair like mine on a regular basis. But you could not tell that from the way they treated my hair. They were gentle, thorough, inquisitive, and willing to take a little of the "customer input", even requesting it sometimes. I love my hair. She agreed it was pretty bad and said she'd never seen hair cut that terrible. My hair was past my shoulders and when I got to her it was right above. She was so kind and took time to listen and really look at my hair to see what she could do. She spent almost two hours fixing this.
