The Mother-of-the-Bride gets her hair done here on a weekly basis now that she lives in Three Rivers, Michigan, full-time. But I didn't know that. So when we descended on the city for the wedding, I had sort of resigned myself to wearing my hair in a home-do, D-I-Y, you know, the ol' curling iron, blow dryer in the hotel room stylo. When I heard the wet-sets were $10.00, I thought to myself "hey, I can't resist a bargain! But will I have any hair left? Will they 'pick-pick-pick' at my hair while its wet with a fine tooth comb and yank all of the hair out from the root?" The answer is NO THEY DID NOT. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! These women, Jody (my shampoo/setter) and Amy (my stylist), did an EXCELLENT JOB. If I lived here in Three Rivers, MI, I would ONLY get my wet sets there. I was totally, completely, and pleasantly surprised. They are different from me. Their client base is totally different from me. I am quite sure they are not too used to doing hair like mine on a regular basis. But you could not tell that from the way they treated my hair. They were gentle, thorough, inquisitive, and willing to take a little of the "customer input", even requesting it sometimes. I love my hair. It came out soft, fluffy, curly, and it smells WONDERFUL! i WISH I COULD GO TO THIS SALON EVERY WEEK.

Due to Covid restrictions, Willow aren't currently allowed to serve any drinks or snacks, but they allow guests to bring their own treats to enjoy. The management coordinated with me to provide a mani/pedi for the ladies and to call me for payment so the birthday girls didn't have to worry about payment at all. At the end of the day, Ally gushed to me about how wonderful and relaxing it was. Willow nailed it. The only thing that didn't go great is that the specific nail treatment didn't last as well as expected, but the management made it right. They gave Ally a free touch up and shellack and they reimbursed me for Emily's mani. I will gladly use them again.

They have large windows letting in a lot of natural light, which is wonderful. It doesn't have that dark, cavelike atmosphere that some small salons with no windows have. The salon has a clean and spacious bathroom, a keurig fully stocked with good coffee and fixings, and the stylists were so helpful. They have Kevin Murphy and Moroccan Oil products to offer (love Moroccan oil's argan oil)! They have glo-minerals makeup, which I'm not a fan of, but the ladies that were doing makeup for the bridesmaids and bride were using a large range of professional makeup brands (urban decay, MAC, etc.) Kate did my hair and she did a wonderful job! She did a great job making my fine, straight hair look beautiful and voluminous in the up do that I chose. I showed her a Pinterest picture and she did a great job recreating what I wanted. Renee did a great job with my makeup, I love that she started by asking how I did my makeup every day. When I asked her for extra coverage for my rosacea she did an awesome job making sure that my makeup was on lockdown. The ladies that were doing hair were so friendly and efficient, finishing ahead of schedule in most cases, and doing an excellent job! Renee did such a great job of making the bride feel special, and kept the energy in the room high (even through a three hour beauty session)! I would highly recommend this salon for wedding parties!
