My daughter went in for her first highlight session. Pricing on their website was under $200, she was charged $300. This would have been fine if they had done any kind of decent job of highlighting her hair. The stylist, Soon, said the color would lighten. No one could tell she had highlighted her hair. A cut was included in the price. She had asked for a trim to cut the dead and split ends. She cut for less than one minute and there was no change in appearance. I like to give businesses and people the benefit of the doubt but this place is horrible. I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

Overall amazing experience, I had Marianne do my haircut and blow dry and she did an amazing job asking what specifically wanted and making sure I was satisfied with the whole cut and dry. I made an appointment with Grace and ended up with a lady named Blanca. I'm not sure what level of a Hair Stylist she is but she is obviously inexperienced and cannot do something as basic as cut layers. I asked her not to touch the length and just add shorter layers and she cut off 3 inches with minimal layers in the back. She also cannot properly cut layers and instead masked her incompetence by curling my hair so she can curl in fake layers and so that I couldn't see the obvious blunt cut mistake she made until I got home a straightened it myself. She should not be allowed to touch people's hair until she has adequate training. This review may sound mean but she should have just upfront said she couldn't do the job instead of trying to fake it. read more

The company asked me to share my feedback on Yelp, so I'm posting it here per their suggestion. The stylist, Toni, rushed through the appointment. We were here less than 20 minutes for a long hair wash and cut. The haircut the stylist gave was uneven. I even asked before we left to have her make sure it was even. We had to go back and have the stylist fix it right away. There was no manager there for us to talk to. We've been here many times and am highly disappointed. I have seen at least five different "stylists" in the times I have been there. As a teacher I don't make a lot of money so I try to save where I can and I used to always cut my hair but I'm at the point now I prefer someone else to do it. Get what you pay for and I guess that if you go cheap you get a horrible haircut. This time was the last straw. I showed her a picture. I told her exactly what I wanted. I told her not to go with the fade more than an inch above my ear and a taper, it down in the back sort of like a faux hawk and instead, she gave me a high tight men's fade. I am furious. The last time I went there another stylist did it and did such a lousy job and got it so lopsided as soon as I got home, I just buzzed it all off. I was so happy that it finally grew long enough for me to get a decent haircut and this is what I ended up with. SMDH. Pictures are what I asked for her to do and showed her that I wanted versus what she actually did to my hair. She listened to what I wanted during my consultation and constantly gave me tips and tricks to care for my hair throughout the process. I came in with super long hair ready for a change, and she gave me a fun and precise blunt lob with an undercut that I absolutely love! Sometimes cutting off a ton of hair is scary, but Luna was patient, supportive, and made sure to give me what I asked for. If you take your child here, there is no seating anywhere while your child is getting their hair cut. Be prepared to stand. English was limited and difficult to tell them what I wanted in a cut. If I could give a hair cuttery store zero stars I would. They do not listen to you, do not style hair very well. When they see a women with long hair walk into the store, all they want to do is chop it all off. I asked for two inches off and they proceeded to cut off seven. If you want to get a haircut that will ruin your day looking at it in the mirror for the next 3 months....go to this hair salon! I cried in my car for an hour...because my long hair is no longer long and it will not be that way for a long time. Very unprofessional to not listen to a customer that gave specific advice. Bernadita always gives me a memorable experience and makes me feel happy. She is an expert in curly hair, and even though she knows how my hair behaves, she still listens patiently to my requests (such as "please ensure every layer can still reach a ponytail!"). Because I live so far away, I cant get to her salon when I need to, and I don't trust anyone else so she works with my overgrown, unruly, out of control hair cheerfully. She is flexible and has modified her schedule to accommodate my visit - she really cares and is a kind human being! She's a talented multi-tasker, who somehow manages to verbally help direct/assist other staff members as well as greet clients as they arrive, while focusing on me. I usually don't style my hair, and suggested she could skip the effort after the beautiful cut. BUT - she saw potential and introduced me to a new healthy finishing product that she generously shared, (which I bought!), and did some finger twirling magic with the hair around my face and gave me a brand new look in 5 minutes! 3 stars only because I've been a frequent customer and have only had issues with one employee. With that being said... DO NOT go to Ja Young (I think that's her name) to get your eyebrows waxed. I have had this lady twice before and both times she has totally f***ed my eyebrows. On the second occasion I had been very explicit that I just wanted a "clean up" and didn't want much taken off my brow. She proceeded to say "you need your lip too" which is really just her trying to up-sell me because my lip is fine (I have blonde hair for f*cks sake). Well, I ended up with about half the eyebrows I came in there with and there was a section completely gone from my left brow. I pointed out that she waxed off an entire CHUNK of and she said "yeah I know it was like that." How are you going to lie straight to my face - I know what my own damn eyebrows looked like when I came in there. Then she had the audacity to say "so you don't want your lip done too?" Oh because I'd love to have my entire face jacked up by you, lady - right. No thanks. I am infuriated and will NEVER let her touch my eyebrows or hair ever again. I think my business at Hair Cuttery Fair Lakes is about done with. They shouldn't have hired employees that offer such poor quality work. read more

I had to wait for 15 min cz some computer issues- they didn't check me in. I was told to wait for 3-4 min.. but waited for 15 min. I did not get the hair do that I wanted - they wasted 2 hours on this service for me. To top it all- I was given the pricing for the hairdo by a stylist just one weekend back - & they billed me the double of it. Not sure if they believe in informing the client before taking a service up - it's highly unprofessional. They used ironing on a few strands and curling iron on a few- and charged me for it. Nobody informed me that plan on charging me $15 just for using their curling iron and flat iron. When I mentioned that your manager gave me the cost of this service half of what you are quoting- they doubted my words and went to the back of the office to call them and confirm.
