while Nami was very kind and attentive during the consultation, I found that she didn't really listen to what I was saying. I told her I wear my hair natural (curly) and that I wanted someone who had experience cutting mixed pattern curls. she said she did. I went and she gave me bangs that I didn't ask for, which is not something I would ever want, then asked if I wanted her to style my new cut. I said no because I want to go home and diffuse it. she said to please let her do the bangs at least so I said yes just to please her but then she proceeded to blow out the entire hair style. it looked nice but I don't ever blow out or straighten my hair so I had no clue what it Even would look like when I left as I would actually wear it. I went home, soaked my hair and did my routine. my curls are completely damaged and have lost their natural wave and pattern. i now have straggly bang pieces just flying everywhere and my hair just looks really awful. i have been working so hard on getting my natural curls back and this just set me back. I have been wearing it up since I got it cut and refuse to wear it naturally now. I don't feel like I was listened to at all and she just gave me the haircut she wanted to do which looks the same as all the other photos in the reviews. she essentially gave me a haircut for straight hair when I have wavy and curly hair. now I have to wait for this to grow out and get it fixed after spending $75 on this. I feel like every thing was out of my control which is the opposite of how a haircut should be. I've cried off and on about this because I just feel like I lost the little bit of confident I had - my curls. read more

Nami very dishonest. Tells you one price for service when she's working on your hair she explains to you it's going to cost a little more than she originally said. She is all about making money. Have had my hair done twice by her and not happy either time. I will never go back to her. Sun is now working at New image salon In Chantilly for those of you looking for her. Ah this place is just mid, went in for a trim and it costed $95. The cut was okay, really not worth that money.. Liked my hair before the haircut more. I was not aware of the price at all either, the stylist washed my hair and styled it(did not even ask for that), would not recommend. read more

Yes, the salon is a little on the pricier side, but their team of 3 Asian girls did wonders with Indian tresses! We had to get ready for a wedding, and we were running behind schedule. Tried Nami for a hair cut. First visit was $40. Next visit was $50. Neither visit included washing my hair. She did an uneven cut and it was so noticeable that I went to another salon to fix it. Layers were cut but not blended. Hair was flipping out all over. Would not return or recommend Nami. read more

Found this salon on the fly while getting my eyebrows and nails done at the shop next door. I am so pleased I gave Nami a chance because she delivered. She is in a new location and didn't seem very busy, but there was a big event going on at the Dulles center. Nami was careful to take her time listening to me explain what I want and show her a picture of what I "kinda sorta wanted." I felt she was honest with her pricing and fair when I asked about the Brazilian blowout for my hair. I didn't feel rushed and for the first time I didn't feel like a stylist was scared of my hair because of the curls. She took control and her talent and years of experience showed. Very nice and clean salon. My hairstylist Sun Bellows just moved to this location. She is awesome. I have been going to her for at least 4 years now and she is not only a good hairstylist but a fantastic colorist and those are rare. I get complements on my highlights all the time. She is also very good at recommending hairstyles if you are not quite sure what you want and best of all she will try her best to dissuade you from making bad hairstyle choices that may not be best on you, in other words she is very honest. LOL. Her haircuts are amazing and don't lose their shape as your hair grows out which is a sign of a great haircut. Her prices are average for a good salon and well worth it. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Worst experience ever. The owner is very controlling, lots of unnecessary drama, and does not know the meaning of customer service. She even asked for me to edit my review on my hair stylist, Sun, when she didn't like the wording, even though it was a 5 star rating on my stylist when she was there. The part she had an issue with was when I said my stylist doesn't do eyebrow waxing, but that there are other stylists that do. She asked me to change it and when I said there was nothing wrong with it and I wouldn't change it, she didn't back off. It was very uncomfortable going there. My hair stylist on the other hand was awesome and has since moved to a different salon due to the poor customer service. I will never go there again no matter what. Also the location is awful as it is at the Dulles Expo center and there is no parking when there is an event. read more
