The receptionist looked at me with complete disdain when she confirmed I wanted highlights. She then walked to the back and took a different customer immediately so another (quite lovely) woman informed me I was being rejected due to short hair. They had a theatrical conversation in Spanish beforehand with the first girl giving major attitude (understandable with all languages). The kindly older woman said she could take care of me but after remembering the look of disgust I was given I chose to leave. The 4 is because of how aggravated I was at the 2 employees that had to have a yelling conversation instead of talking at a decent normal tone. You would think they were miles apart from each other instead of just a couple of feet. With only 5 people in the place, you would think it wouldn't be that difficult to just talk instead of being so obnoxiously loud. They were so bad we could hardly carry on our own conversation. Linda is an awesome & funny stylist & I've been going there for years to see her. If she wasn't there I would go where she goes. read more

This is the cleanest and most decent place around the Homestead area. I usually come here to have my hair blow dried or when I just don't feel like driving 30 minutes to go to another decent hair salon. Like someone else already mentioned, it is pretty overpriced for what it is but if you have your hair done by the right person, it is definitely worth it. Reasons for the 5 stars: 1) Great customer service,if you are unhappy with a service they will go out of their way to make it right. I had someone do an awful job on my hair and Ivy the manager made sure it was fixed by a different stylist. 2) ASHLEY!! she is the best!!!! She always leaves my hair looking fabulous!! ( As I mentioned before, I had my hair done by someone else thinking it would be just fine since it was a simple service but I was wrong, and it was a disaster) Ashley is the only one that has left my hair looking PERFECT and me leaving happy! read more

This Hair Cuttery is the pits! I went to this one near the Publix on U.S. 1 . Going in the shop, were 3 employees and 3 customers. No one greeted me. no one asked if i had an appointment or what service i required, no one spoke to me. I waited 14 mins in silence and then left. I drove to the next Hair Cuttery in Oasis Plaza and what a difference. I was greeted by a smiling employee and asked what service I needed, I waited about 3 mins and then was helped. I had an appointment in the morning right after they opened. Showed up for the appointment and they said my stylist called in sick. I told them that I didn't request a particular stylist, just an appointment to get my hair cut for an important event. They said that they assigned me to a stylist and she wasn't there and I would have to wait. Fine, how many appointments ahead of me? Two, Fine I will wait. Well, it will be 2-3 hours at least. What? Why? There are only 2 people ahead of me. Well, there were 3 walk-ins too so they are ahead of you. How? I had an appointment! Your stylist isn't here. I don't have a stylist, just an appointment! Well, you can wait or we will try to find you a time tomorrow but we are pretty booked so you may have to wait then too. I walked out and have never gone back. My wife, who was a regular customer, canceled her appointment and has not gone back either. Worst customer service that I have experienced! Went to their location South of there, told them my story, they said again? Seems to happen often and then proceeded to get me in after a few minutes. I came here mainly because hair salons in the keys where I live do not open on Sunday's. Their was a a bit of a wait but I was pleasantly surprised by my blow Out. It was a delux blow out. I didn't grab her name but it was an older Spanish woman with short Brown hair. My blow out is super pretty and for the price it was worth the wait. read more

Not a very good place. I went here as a cheap alternative to where I live, just for a trim. My hair was washed with cold water and the hairdresser didn't talk to me the whole time. She did not angle my head at all so I realized when dry (I did not get it dried there) one side was longer than the other. They do not take their jobs seriously. read more
