My problem was a language barrier and when I expressed what I wanted the lady kept acting that she understood completely. I even showed her a picture. I had the most amazing service with Joahny a few months back, but never got a chance to review. I walked in unsure of what I wanted, and she really listened to me and gave me a haircut and balayage that I absolutely loved ! She took her time making sure everything came out perfect and did everything in her power to ensure the result was exactly what we had initially discussed. My neck feels so much better after the full facial, the little bit of massaging she did was just enough to help relieve my neck pressure. My skin feels so much better and softer! No comfortable seating, limited parking, getting your hair washed in a super uncomfortable sink ! The owners need to step up their game for the prices they charge. It's not that she did a bad job and all the staff was very nice. I think after paying 225.00 and giving a 20 tip I should of at least got what I wanted. Had a pedicure done there and was very impressed! The owner was super friendly, checking on everyone having a service done, and so was the entire staff. The atmosphere was great you could tell everyone likes working there and each other. The salon is very clean and inviting. read more

I booked my hair appointment and lash lift and tint appointment as a first time customer. The day before my lash lift and tint I get a call that my appointment had to be cancelled due to covid worker measures and they'd let me know as soon as they were available again. I asked for the lightest blonde we could possibly get, a root smudge, and a money piece. I was left with a warm brown color and no money piece. The service was $350 and the manager isn't replying to my texts about questions I had for a partial refund so I could get my hair fixed someplace else. While I was getting my hair done, I had my stylist ask 3 different employees for help. She'd ask them to make her a new batch of bleach, to help brow dry my hair, hold some pieces of my hair, etc. My stylist was also talking to another employee about how the lady that was supposed to do my lashes got fired, and they were talking about how it "was coming for her". I left the salon with something not even close to what I asked for, and a very bleached Brandy Melville shirt. The lady next to my stylist was doing a little girls hair and the grandma asked to straighten her hair more, and once the grandma and the little girl left both stylists started talking behind the ladies back and mocking her about how it wa Sam ready super straight. My mother also was getting her hair done at the same time as me. It took her stylist 5 hours to finish when she barely has any hair. They didn't even cover her roots. My hair was not worth the $350, and my moms greys weren't even covered. Her hair was $195. Extremely unprofessional and lazy. Don't waste your time coming here. read more

Okay- so let me give you some back story: I bought a dress from the fabulous AnneMaries boutique across the street and received a coupon for a free manicure from this salon. Given that A.M's is so elegant, I was expecting this place to be the same- it wasn't. It looks like a run down barber shop that needs some new paint and air freshener. However, who can turn down a free mani? Staff was super nice and the woman who did my hands and feet was a sweetheart, however- there was one janky table to get your nails done, and two pedicure stations. Once my nails were finished I went to go pay and The woman at the front desk said $ 36I said oh no, "I have the free mani (clearly thinking this was a mistake) and she said nope it's 36 for a pedicure (regular polish on hands and feet btw). This is a cute little salon that has some history with Homestead and is a staple to the community. I went to go get my nails and hair done for prom and I was definitely treated well. I got my nails done first with Marisela and she treated me so nicely and did an amazing french nail job. For hair, I got Shannon and she was amazing, a true artist and made me feel so so glamorous. I've been to this salon several times for a hair cut and eyebrow wax. I could not be happier with them, or so I thought. I've been wanting to get balayage done for quit a while now, I was nervous though as I didn't have a solid idea of what I wanted. Layles did an AMAZING job on my hair!!!
