Bad experience. I was telling the hairdresser I wanted my roots touched up to match the color of my blonde hair. Instead she darkened my hair with toner and my roots still came out dark. For over 5 hours in the chair it was getting ridiculous so I told the hair dresser don't bother blow drying my hair I've been here since 9am so I thought she didn't charge me for the blow dry but found out she did later. I was like whatever but when my hair was drying I saw how dark my hair was and my roots basically look the same. For $175 dollars plus tip. Very disappointed. read more

Needed a haircut and wasn't sure where I could get a good one last minute. This was a good call. Helen was very knowledgeable and informative with every part of my haircut. She took her time and showed me how much would be cut off how it would look and if I was ok with that it to try less first and go from there. She was very friendly and professional. She even gave me advise on dying my hair and what is best. My hair looks great and feels so much better. Nice and healthy now! I definitely recommend Helen at this location. read more

nice people but very disappointed. It was just a wash and blow dry. i can do that at home but sometimes you want to go for the convenience but when you pay you expect it to be better than if you do at home. The hair stylist was washing and drying like she wanted to get me out in 10-15 minutes. she was fixing a few areas with the flat iron and when she was done and turned me around all I saw was super flat flat ironed hair. I mean i Specifically wanted blow dry for the volume. Then she charged $40. Never going back again. Like really how do you mess up a blow out. The worst part is that I know they can do it right. I've been there 2 other times. She just wasn't in the mood. read more

Nice people, but definitely not the place you want to cut your hair if you're dreaming of one haircut and get another out of the planet style. My brother wanted to try out a new hairstyle and it wasn't at all difficult and he had a lot of hair to work with, but what was supposed to be a trim on the sides and basically leave the top alone became a "shark boy" look. I didn't watch the hairdresser cut his hair, but when he came out he looked horrified at what she had done and as a nice boy he didn't want to say it sucked, but came out so embarrassed. I have been to this location before. Once for a haircut and the other for a partial highlight. I had an appointment both times and was really happy with the services I received. I made an appointment for a partial highlight again, and was met with such a bizarre interaction with the stylist. It was like she was unsure of what service to do on my hair (I have only ever had highlights, I don't use heat on my hair and I never go before 8 weeks between processes on my hair). The starting cost for a partial is $61, and I completely understand that it may vary based on hair length and what not, and during booking it has different rates for the level of experience of the stylist. I sat in the chair and explained I just wanted some lightening around my face so when I pulled my hair back I felt a little brighter. The stylist acted like my hair was mangled basically and a walked away from the chair twice to discuss with a different employee about pricing (which she seemed unsure about for some reason?). She came back and said that she would HAVE to do an olaplex treatment and a gloss or my hair would break and it would cost $150 for everything ....um, what? I take EXCELLENT care of my hair, use bonding treatments at home and I know my hair is in great condition. I told her that there was no way I was spending that money at the HAIR CUTTERY for a partial highlight and things I don't need when I can go to my normal salon and get a full highlight and a damn haircut for less money (my whole reason for going here was that I was able to book an appointment and convenience, otherwise it is not my first choice by a landslide). Basically, it felt like I was being refused service because they didn't know how to perform the service effectively? Or they were trying to upcharge the hell out of me to fill a sales quota? Not me, not today. I had secondhand embarrassment leaving because it felt like they had NO EXPERIENCE with customer service AND fulfilling a hair service. Just go elsewhere. This was embarrassing and you can get way better products and treatments basically ANYWHERE ELSE. Never again, see ya. read more

They lied to me. I was told they had a balayage specialist. THEY DO NOT. Hair dresser gave me a full highlight with a shadow root. I went back to complain that it was not what I wanted. I was then told its a process to create the balayage. The hair dresser NEVER, NOT ONCE during my initial visit told me it was a process and didn't even try to set up a second appointment. Not only is there defense "its a process" bullshit, but they are also blaming this on my well water at home. USING TONER, PURPLE SHAMPOO OR CITY WATER WILL NOT TURN HIGHLIGHTS INTO A BALAYAGE. This was the most crooked hair experience I've ever experienced. I have always had my hair trims at Hair Cuttery, but im finished with them after this experience. DONT GO!This place is a mess, people who work here and how they treat their customers. They let you wait forever and ignore you. I came in one day and a guy came over and said it'll take only 15 mins before they can get me in, so i wait... and waited... for 45 mins. Nobody came over to let me know if they still want my business or not. Nobody else were there waiting except me and they only have one customer inside. So i just left. One of their staff even came in complaining that their boss woulndt let her drop by a Wawa to get coffee. read more

Don't get your hair cut here I asked for layers my hair was more chopped instead of layered and she kept swinging my hair into my face slapping me in the face plus kept spinning me around to where I was forced to stare at the customers waiting and the lady next to us cutting his hair I never got to actually see the lady cutting my hair even when she washed my hair she wet my whole face and kept doing it didn't even apologize and when I asked her to cut my bangs it's like she only cut like three Strands of pieces of hair and said is this good after that I was fed up and just said it's fine just let me go now read more

I was a first time color client . Mike was very personable however my hair fell out in clumps after I flat ironed it the day after getting my touch up with Mike!! I ent to this place and say it was probably the worst hair cutting place I've went to the people who treat you are very nice but.A simple trim turned out to be apperently hardest thing for these people I asked for a trim on my sides and my front.But since I use a hair style towards the right front of my face I told them to.trim the front,sides but instead she cut of all my hair in the front.So my hair turned out to look like when you take your hand and shove all the hair out of you face and up onto the top.So all you see is forehead.Ps the person that cut my hair was very rushed and took 5 mins I recommended noT going. read more

Hair cuttery is a great family oriented salon. Myself and my two sons will go nowhere else. Our stylist Lisa is amazing. Lisa always has a smile on her face, and always gives us beautiful cuts. Last time she made a tough situation so much better. If you have kids you know their choice of hair styles can be pretty bad. Lisa repaired the damage my 14 year son did after he bleached his hair. Lisa dyed his hair and cut it to a respectful length all while making him happy at the same time. Kudos to you Lisa. We look forward to coming back. read more

I had been going to the same hairdresser off and on for 20 years. Although she only charged $35, which is still reasonable, I could no longer afford that due to tight finances. Plus, she was giving me the same boring, blah, middle-aged lady haircuts for a very long time. So I decided to give the Hair Cuttery a try. Ashlee did a fantastic job! I called today around 12:30 to see if they could see my grandson today. They told me to come in at 1:00. We left there at 1:20. Every now and then someone would come by and say "it'll be a minute"and walk away. Finally, the one they nodded towards ended with her customer, rang her up, then ignoring us, walked into the back. Another stylist saw that we were leaving and ran into the back then came to me and said that "Ashley" was shoving some food down her throat. We left. I used to get my hair cut there, however, every stylist I used left. I still see my Victoria who now works at the J.C. Penney salon in the Hamilton Mall.
