I went in looking to have a few inches cut off my shoulder length hair, and Zahra did a wonderful job! She talked me through what she thought would be best, and gave me a great cut. I have been in here several times and I only love two women there....I'm sorry but I forgot their names (one is asian and the other woman is older with blonde hair and glasses). HOWEVER, with that being said, I was in there recently and had my hair done by the assistant manager - I believe her name is Silvia. Not only did she not do what I asked her with my hair, she was short, rude and unpleasant not only to me but to the other employees. Maybe if she put more energy and time into her actual clients and not the other employees, then she would have gotten my hair correct the first time. Do yourself a favor and don't ask for Silvia. I was pleasantly surprised after my cut with Shirin. You never know who you'll get and what you'll end up with when you go to places like Hair Cuttery, but my haircut was exactly what I was hoping for. Granted, I don't have a whole lot to cut and I'm not asking for anything extravagant, but for $18, friendly service, a nice salon, and good cut, you can't go wrong. Ask for Shirin! read more

I gave this place a shot because my 4 year old and I just needed trims, nothing really requiring a lot of skill. It's like a jiffy lube for hair. Don't expect much in the way of service or politeness but they'll rush you to your spot and do your hair quickly. But it wasn't worth the money. My scalp had a bad reaction to their products and I wonder if they're genuine Redkin. My daughter and I both got trims but our hair didn't look smooth at the bottom. It looked a bit jagged. If they can't handle simple trims, makes you wonder what they can do. I am giving two stars instead of one because my stylist was nice. read more

TOTAL SCAM. SO DISAPPOINTING The service was meh. When my hair was washed two of the hair cut ladies fought about job discrepancies as one was washing my hair. She kept pausing to argue with the other woman and the water became cold. Then she told me a really weird story about how she was trying to find a husband and it wasn't acceptable that her boyfriend of 9 years didn't want to marry her (I'm happy to chat, but I had never met her before in my life and the story was oddly personal). She didn't seem to really listen to what I wanted, instead she told me she was going to do "What she knew, and I was going to like it!!!!!" I have really curly hair and I only wanted a hair cut, but she decided to blow out half my hair. It was really awkward looking to have 1/2 wet hair and 1/2 blown straight so I ask if she could finish the blow dry which was going to be another $6. The total shampoo, cut, and blow-dry was supposed to be $25. But at the register charged me $32 because apparently its extra to cute curly hair. I will never go back. read more

Staff working there are awesome. Pouran is my favorite and she always does a great job on my hair .. I love her attitude, personality and her cute accent! My experience in this location was awful. Hair dresser is extremely unprofessional and trying to create a fight with me for no reason. She didn't do a good job either. She is older lady who should be fired for being so unprofessional and yelling at the customer. read more

Worst customer service (and dye job) ever! Had my hair cut and colored there two weeks ago. Grays around the hairline were never completely covered, but I let it go. A week and a half later, I notice that the grays are so bad it looks like it was never colored. Went in today, asked to speak to the manager, and was told the manager was out but the assistant manager was available. She came over, and surrounded by two others, listened while I explained the problem. Then the three of them all started in on how grays always start showing after two weeks, and that this was normal. After debating with them for several minutes that I know my hair, and that I don't need touch ups for eight weeks, the assistant manager informs me that she'd have to consult with the manager tomorrow, and could I come back. No, I explained, I am only free on Tuesdays, and wasn't she, as the assistant manager, empowered to make any decisions? Apparently not. Then they resumed their assertions that so called permanent hair color lasting only two weeks is normal. Feeling ganged up on, and with no resolution in sight, I told them I and my kids would not be returning. BEWARE! read more

I usually see Trinh...so does my husband. I call ahead the day I want to go since I do color and cut...usually get in that day within an hour or two depending on her schedule. Talk about your hair before and you will get what you ask for. My sister went with me and her hair cut improved tremendously since her stylist in Ashburn does not really listen. read more

I went in on a Sunday at 5pm trying to get a haircut for the military. All I wanted was a low fade. I asked to have it fixed at least four times and still ended up with a diagonal line in the back of my head. You would think a hair stylist working at a hair salon would be able to cut hair. Now I have to have someone fix it before Monday morning. read more

I don't know why they keep hiring old foreigners who can't speak English. She was rude, jerky, and did a terrible job. Gave me the most basic beginner level "short hair cut" as if she had just gotten out of hair stylist school. She didn't show me the back, so when I got home I noticed it wasn't evenly cut and messy. Horrible. Just horrible. I stood in line waiting behind a group of people for 10 minutes. I then sat and waited there for another 50 minutes. When i walked over there when they would finally take me, i asked to get my color removed (which takes about 30 minutes) they said no, it takes 2 hours. I asked why and they said because if they mess up they need time to fix it. Ha! I bet they just didn't want to have to do a coloring job. I came 2 hours before closing just to make sure that i could get my hair fixed correctly and that still wasn't enough time! My sister went in there and they gave her the worst hair cut of her life! Her hair was chopped at weird angles she did not ask for and it looked terrible! One side of her layers was longer then the other and people looked at her weirdly. She was so upset that she started crying. She went to bubbles instead and they fixed her hair for her with a discount. I never should've gone back to that store. What a waste of time. Specially since we've been clients there for so long getting my brothers hair cut there and my hair cut there when i was a little girl ( from age 5 - 9 ). Terrible service, they we're rude and offered no alternative and were brisk and gloomy. They were short staffed, maybe 4 people for 15 people waiting in line and more coming through the door. Totally unreliable service and ALWAYS trying to shove products on to you! I watch one woman put the products in the mans hands even as he was shaking his hands and saying no. She kept saying "Its good for you, see what i use it now." and he said "no thank you". Then they don't know how to add tips to the check and usually they do not speak English so you can't really talk to them! They also cut way more then you ask for! 1 inch usually turns into 2! Beware I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE. I KNOW I WON'T EVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN. read more
