My stylist is from NYC and asked me specific questions about what kind of highlights I wanted, where I wanted them and whether I normally opted for toner. Still waiting to see the outcome. Slightly awkwardly waiting in the reception area while she juggles another client. Slightly disappointed at the lack of mindless magazines - No Self, Seventeen, Vogue or Glamour. Fortunately, there was Harpers Bazaar so I could catch up on Paris Hilton's latest. I did the face framing height lights - 8 foils but I think she gave me a few extra. Saved around $60 by skipping toner and a blow dry. Asked for thick highlights, and they looked a bit skinned but the stylist showed me how they were actually thick. She was right. She didn't show me my hair automatically at the end. I had to ask, but I did like what I saw.

While I have many complaints, the main one is that I did not like my haircut, and even after I tried to ask the stylist to fix it, I was rushed out looking terrible. My haircut was 14 minutes with no wash/shampoo, no blow dry and no products. I was told that the cut would be dry because of my hair type. My hairstylist was Rita who said that my hair type is best cut with dry hair. I have never had that in the past, but I trusted her experience. However, I was very disappointed that she cut my hair so quickly and then didn't ask me if I liked it, I felt like she was pushing me out the door. I have long hair and asked for many layers, lots of layers that are visible and she did not give me that. I had her add more in and asked her to fix a few things 5/6 times, which she did, but with the attitude that I was bothering her. Her cuts are $75 dollars and that's an unfair price for the experience I got. My next complaint is partly due to the coronavirus but it still left a negative taste in my mouth. I called on Friday for an appointment and was told the salon was finally able to use the blow dryers, but to schedule early in the day because they sometimes ran out of sanitized brushes near the end of the day. I came in for my Saturday appointment and Rita told me that was not the case, no blowdrys. I told her that the receptionist told me differently, and her only response was "oh she knows". Therefore my hair looked extremely sad due to the lack of wash/blow dry and products. Overall, I felt very unwelcomed at this salon. I don't like my hair at all and I don't recommend Rita as a stylist.

Their customer service (i.e. Renee) is atrocious and the worst I have ever seen. If there was a way to rate negative 5 stars, I would. If this post is too long to read then just check out the pictures- that's what $1000 will get you. The initial red flag should have been over half of their google reviews were posted in the last month, despite being open for nearly a year. If that isn't enough, at least one of the glowing reviews is from one of her employees. On November 15th, I saw Renee for hand tied extensions. I paid over $1,000 to have the extensions tied in and to style my hair. On November 19th, 4 days after having the extensions tied in, I sent Renee a message stating: "Is there a time I can come in today or tomorrow? On the right side of my head you can clearly see where the extensions are tied - it's like popping up kinda and can't be hidden. It's super noticeable. I visited Renee on November 20th to have the issue fixed. Renee admitted that the bead was installed incorrectly and that my hair was tangled in the bead. Between November 20th and December 12th, I referred two other people to Renee. On December 14th, the same bead that was "fixed," again popped out. This time the extension looked like a pig tail coming out of the side of my head. Literally. I was having my hair professionally done (in Colorado) 4 days later for photos and the stylist was unwilling to touch the extension because she did not want to be blamed for someone else's poor work. On December 21st, I called the salon to inform Renee the extension was popping out. Marcello (i.e. the employee who wrote an outstanding review) informed me to text the salon number to see when Renee has availability. Renee failed to respond so I texted again on December 22nd. I was told that Renee is completely slammed and waiting for a cancellation. I sent her a picture of the pigtail popping out of the side of my head and said: "My hair is less than a month old...I am literally walking around with a pigtail as you can see in the picture. If she can't fix it then I need someone else to." On December 23rd I entered the salon to have my hair "fixed." When I entered the salon, it was absolutely empty, with no customers, despite being "slammed." Marcello said: "It looks like the bead flipped." Renee stated: "This is tension. It has to be because you are putting your hair in a pony tail, or putting your sunglasses in it." I informed her I can't put it into a pony tail because you see the beads and I can't put sunglasses in my head because the beads are there. She stated: "I have been doing this for 8 years and this is what it has to be," and then stormed away. Marcello then said: "It seems like the placement of the bead was incorrect and the second bead was placed too close to the first and the second bead was pushing the first one." After the completion to "fix" my hair, I was charged for the visit. By later in the day, the bead looked identical to how it looked before the visit. Now I am at the point where I am simply looking for someone to take the extensions out, and embarrassingly, I am wearing a hat in all of my holiday pictures because of the salon's poor work. I hope that my review prevents someone else from ending up in a similar situation. For reference- this is before and after the supposed repair.

I have been searching for a salon and stylist that truly cares about the health of your hair and who knows how to cut hair properly. Most salons CANNOT cut hair professionally even though they charge you for said "professional cut." Angela will give you an outstanding cut. I firmly believe that my hair grew faster and healthier because of it. My hair was so damaged, tangled and breaking off from hormones and stress.
