this is one of the two worst haircuts I've had in my entire life, none of my layers are even they're all choppy and jagged even my bangs are uneven, I repeatedly told the stylist to take 4 inches off my hair and she took 8 inches and then pretended like that's what I asked for my bangs are so thick. It's like half the volume of my hair even though she kept telling me I have "very fine thin hair "even though I have a medium thickness hair, this was an absolute nightmare. I will be wearing my hair up for the next six months until it regrows, and I'll probably have to go find another stylist to fix the layers, I cried myself to sleep last night read more

Have been several times. A poor haircut and color. The "stylist" was very slow because she just never stopped talking (about herself). She was shown a photo of the haircut/style the client wanted to achieve, but the cut ended up being only marginally close to the photo. Kate the manager burned a bleach ball the size of a bar of soap to the root of my hair due to negligence and being way to rough with scrubbing the bleach onto my head. she was not able to brush and it out after five and a half hours of brushing (and ripping out literally HALF of my hair in doing so) so she let me go home like that. it was extremely traumatic and she was not fired and I very highly doubt she was even talked to because her management did not seem to care. her coworkers were horrified with what she did to me and had no idea how she was even capable of such an Matt but agreed it must have been neglect and being too rough too, they all saw the matt. they said they have never even seen a depression Matt this bad. I had bleached my hair for five years and this never happened except with her. I would never recommend this nightmare of a place. I will never forget this experience and I wish I would have SUED her and the hair cuttery. read more

Were almost frantically looking for a reason able hair cut near us. It was 6:15 pm. Not easy. Called Hair cuttery and they said they would fit us in. They did. The wAit was very reasonable. The price also Reasonable FAYE was a magician! Daughter has gorgeous thick hair with some curl but it was too flat and no shape. Faye figured out what she needed quickly. Thinned, shaped it with some layering. Magic. Looks great!! We will return. Plus she's very nice as was the other stylist there. read more

I first went there 2 years ago and found it great & staffed with a lot of people. I hadn't been back in 6 months and received a 30% coupon. When I tried to book a time I got locked out of the site. So I went to the facility in Lakewood Ranch Sarasota FL. When I walked in at 11:30 there was one stylist and one customer. I asked if I could get a haircut and use the coupon? The stylist looked at me in total confusion and said I would have to her. I asked where she was and he in the back somewhere. After waiting sometime I realized Im the customer and enjoy feeling like one. Was.told.5 -.10 minutes, the stylist took 45 then the customer took 10 more minutes picking out hair gel with her until I finally stood up, the stylists said "oh do you have to go" I asked how long this guy would take he was so finicky that he was asking questions foe 10 minutes after his hair cut was over about different chemicals in products. Instead of remedying the PREMODDONA customers lack of consideration of time, she said "we are just having a conversation" I left. Wasted an hour and 45 minutes of my life I won't get back. I'm torn because I love Jessica, she does my hair, and has cut my grandsons hair before. However he needed a cut, and she was off that day so I made an appointment for him on line with Alec. When we showed up at 10 for his 10:15 appointment, he was with a client, and had another waiting. So we walked the shopping center with our grandson. Finally at 10:30, he called us, and immediately said he was uncomfortable cutting his hair. So 45 minutes wasted. He shouldn't offer kids cuts if he can't do them. We left very unhappy. read more

I have usually had a good experience at the University location, but the other day left a bad taste in my mouth, and an even worse look on my head. First time in my life that I had to go home and fix the haircut myself...for real. It's sad when the customer can take a pair of kitchen scissors and make it look somewhat normal again. I give the review two stars because they did get me in right away at my scheduled time. The girl that did my hair was friendly enough, but clearly either didn't care, or didn't know what she was doing. I asked for a fade from 2-3, and she overdid it on one side, and didn't go far enough up on the other. No blending or anything. I didn't realize the extent of the butchery until I got home later, and really did a close look. I will definitely be asking for some kind of credit or refund when I go in again, I will most certainly be making sure I don't get the same stylist again. I sincerely hope this is not a normal pattern with this company, otherwise I'll be looking elsewhere to get my hair done. read more

Worst experience ever. The stylist, April, waited until she had bleach on my hair and then told me she wanted to slash the tires of an ex co worker. Completely oblivious of any type of professionalism. She was crude, abrasive, and crass. She used the F-WORD frequently. Her hands reeked of cigarettes. Then she gave me chunky highlights when I requested baby lights. THICK STRIPES IN MY HAIR. Then she burned my head with toner. Then she took the foils out too early leaving my root with an orange stripe. Then she told me that Hair Cuttery uses crappy bleach and that it didn't lighten my hair enough. She dragged the bleach through my old highlight & burned my ends to a crisp. She poured a TON of product in my hair and it got very weighed down when she went to dry it. She described my hair as "gummy" and started telling me that it was my fault for having "dirty hair." Then she started telling me that my ends had been fried and we needed to cut more. I refused more cutting. She got incredibly negative and accusatory and I asked to speak with the manager. April said "OH NOW YOURE GOING TO GET ME UN TROUBLE? " She refused to get the manager so I asked a second time. I asked for a private conversation with the manager so we went outside but April followed us and kept meandering back and forth in an intimidating manner and smoking while I tried to speak with the manager. The manager wasn't helpful. Many excuses were made for the stylist. They couldn't get another person to finish my hair that day so i left with it unfinished. It looked crazy. They offered to fix my hair if I returned but I was too scared my tires would get slashed. SCARY EXPERIENCE! Do not go here! read more

Horrible Customer Service company-wide! Purchased a $42 Gift Card December 2020, went to use it on my son December 2021. They wouldn't honor it. Manager, Corporate never answered my calls and emails. Even filed a complaint with the BBB, never answered. My don received the opposite of the haircut he asked for, stylist wouldn't shut up and they never refunded my $42 for a gift card purchased at that location less than a year prior! UPDATE!! Unfortunately, Haley is no longer at this location but Mikayla stepped in and honestly...I like this haircut even better!!!! I have very short hair which can be a difficult cut to do. Mikayla took plenty of time to discuss my hair cut, texture, weirdness (cowlicks) before she ever picked up the scissors and continued to ask questions/direction throughout the cut. I walked out looking like a whole new person! They book up quickly so I suggest making an appointment, which was honored right on time!!! Not many salons in Lakewood Ranch can say that!
