Visited ManCave in University Town Center while on vacation and in need of a haircut. Booking an appointment on their site was quite easy and Moe was my barber for the day, Moe did a great job cleaning me up and took time focusing on providing a precision cut. The haircut comes complete with a neck massage and he had this vibrating contraption that he put on his hand to take care of the massage that can only be described as magical. The massage worked out some things on my neck and head and was something that would make you lock in ManCave as your go-to barber shop based upon that alone. I'm so mad at my experience at the UTC ManCave that I decided to make my first Yelp post. My barber accidentally buzzed the back of my head too short so now it looks like I have a bald spot there. Shit happens, it's whatever, it just needs to be tapered up higher now....except the guy didn't TELL me he messed up...it wasn't until I got home and my wife pointed it out that I saw it. So now what could have been fixed at the shop, I have to go back, pay MORE money, and get my hair fixed. Wow what an amazing stylist! I got a head shave and beard clean up with straight lines. Crystal did a fantastic job. She left me clean and smooth with no redness, nicks or any signs of nicks. I just moved to Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch and needed to find a really great person to cut my hair. I did a Google Search and booked with Izzy for the next morning. I was there a few minutes early and Izzy was able to take me right away! The shop was nice, clean, stylish and cozy all at the same time. I had the nicest barber/stylist and I'd come back just for him --if "NICE" was all I was looking for when paying $60 (tip included). First time here, and honestly my last. Not trying to be funny but SportClips, Walmart, (even my roommate) would've been a safer bet AND for a third of the price. I seldom faced the mirror during the process, which made it hard to follow along. I was specific about some things --which were overlooked, and I was never asked about many others --which were improvised. It's just a cut. What a great venue filled with very enthusiastic and talented stylists. My new stylist, Jenn D, is the bomb digity! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and carefully paced the cut to ensure she was delivering what I wanted! Then the hot towels, straight razor (for the hard part too) made me very happy. We agreed on a regular schedule to keep the look. All barbers here are friendly and provide a really cool vibe. No one is "too much" but all have their own personalities to bring to the table. I was leery at first for paying more for a haircut than your standard chain but the Mancave crew does such a better job and is consistently good! read more

Sports with another name and face is known as ManCave. Amateurs work here, and they're NOT barbers as listed. My cosmetologist (which is also a stretch) gave me the saddest fade ever, and used clippers for my entire head. No scissors what so ever. So not only is my fade 1" too high and not faded, but the ends of my hair are all choppy. It's also uneven, and parts of my heart were missed all together. For the money. I wish I had gone to sport clips, or anywhere else. This place is laughably bad. Fortunately my hair grows quick. Avoid. read more

Izzy is absolutely wonderful! He gave my 11-year-old son the best haircut ever. Highly recommend Izzy and we will be back!! The woman at the front desk was super friendly, despite us being walk-ins without an appointment. Everyone there was great.
