Christine was awesome! She was extremely friendly and gave me a great haircut! I will definitely go back to see her whenever I need another haircut. I would have given 5 stars but the two staff members checking people in had no clue whatsoever what they were doing and the guy didn't even seem to care about that. It took almost 10 minutes to just get checked in! I went back a week later to exchange something, and it was the exact same thing! The managers should be making sure that at least one person besides themselves knows how to fully operate the POS register. Otherwise, customers could end up getting frustrated and walk out. My husband and I were visiting St. Augustine and needed haircut.... We got the worst haircut we've ever had. I asked the girl who cut my hair, for a trim. We decided to take no more than a half an inch off. Well, this woman cut ALL BUT, a half inch off. There was another lady who swept the floor after my cut and exclaimed...look at all these curls! Yep, she cut off all my curls, except for the Mohawk of curls on top. I'm so sad and mad. The only way to fix this is to cut more off. My husband's hair was cut by a woman who was just out of school. Made an appointment on line yesterday for a hair cut today. I was happy that they had one available at 9:00am I got up early and drove 30 minutes to this location because I really needed a haircut and every salon anywhere near me is booked for weeks out and I just found out I have an event this weekend I need to attend. I got here a few minutes early and went inside only to be told they have no one available to cut my hair. The person on the schedule for today doesn't work there anymore. She was injured and went out of work and told them she didn't want to return and no one took her off the online schedule. So everyone who's booked with this woman will find out either when they show up or if the salon has the decency to call them and let them know. I didn't get that, all I got was a sorry can't help you. Maybe at 10:30 we can get you in. Well I didn't drive 30 min at 8:30am on a Sunday morning to hang out in a parking lot for an hour and a half for a "maybe" haircut appointment. Whoever is in charge of the online schedule really needs to do better. When an employee quits they should be removed immediately and anyone with an appointment already on schedule should be notified. Won't ever waste my time booking with Hair Cuttery in St. Augustine ever again. read more

Came in for a shampoo and cut. Stylist savnnah never shampooed but I didn't wanna complain. She never showed me my undercut in a mirror but I didn't want to complain. I paid $30.00 including tip and Savannah knicked my head and now I have noticed a bald spot when i looked in mirror at home. Ontop of this my birthday tomorrow I will be outside all day and am too embarrassed to wear a pony tail!!! Savannah was very very rude to me when I called chucking to herself and making very sarcastic noises under her breath when I told her about the spot. In addition to her laughs and sarcasm she insisted this is a scar and won't do ANYTHING to make me even a little happy. I will never return as long as the stylists are going to act like this. Probably the worst place to get your hair colored. We spent $186.00 to get my daughter's hair colored. It washed out 4 days later. We called and went back and were told "oh well, go next door to Sally's Beauty supply and fix it yourself it is not our problem" I wasn't expecting a free coloring but at least fix your mistake. If I wanted a washout color I would have bought the Halloween spray in color and saved myself $180.00. Don't waste your time or money at this location. Just got my hair cut here last minute with Kaleigh. Normally I go to Philosophie but they closed early. I was greeted promptly and the wait was less then 10 min. It was a blessing having someone who is good with curly hair because they know how it behaves. I got the prefect hair cut for half the cost of a salon. If you know exactly the cut and style you want Hair Cuttery is a great option. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. I always get the same long layered cut then in two weeks I'm unhappy with it. I made an appointment over the phone for a blowout for a wedding I was attending. Over the phone, we were told it would $28. When I arrived, my stylist (Sorina) did not smile or engage with me. I went back to get washed, she commented on how much hair I have (this was never asked on the phone) and she asked "do you use well or city water?" I'm not sure what bearing that has on performing a simple blowout. She used cold water to wash my hair, and never asked me if I was comfortable as a visibly pregnant woman. When we got back to her chair, she started to brush my hair with a comb (remind you I have thick hair past my shoulders which she just washed). Again, never smiled or engaged with me. She decided to blurt out "this blowout will not be $28 it will be $50 now." I found that to be ridiculous as I could have gone to a real salon within walking of my hotel in downtown, but didn't want to pay that price. They get 2 stars since they decided to charge $37.50 instead. Transparency is the required when paying for a service. Thickness and length of hair should be asked if they want to be honest in their pricing. My hair turned out decent, but nothing like my salon back in Philadelphia which charges $35 and does it much faster. Sorina would not have a repeat client if I lived in the area. She was truly miserable the entire hour I was with her. read more

Would have just been nice to be acknowledged and told how long it would be... left after 20 minutes when someone came to the front I take someone back to the chair and still didn't say anything to me. It was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in the salon and all my life. I should've never went just based off the woman who scheduled my appointment on the phone was unprofessional and rude. But they were the only place that could get me in last minute. I had my hair professionally styled for a wedding yesterday and went into hair Cuttery to have the curls freshened up I did not need my hair washed conditioned or dried. Simply freshening up my curls some by slip on them last night. The first woman brushed through my hair completely re-curled it in different sections and the messiest pattern I have ever seen in my life when she turned my chair around my jaw dropped and I said this looks nothing like the picture I showed you and I was very unhappy she said well I can straighten all of your hair and then re-curl it I explain to her that didn't make that much sense and I wasn't going to have all of that damage done to my hair so they stopped me in another woman's chair that then try to use a hair straightener and wasn't using it correctly and was leaving lines and dents that absolutely looked awful at that point I asked if she could please use a large barrel curling iron to get my hair how it looked yesterday. She wasn't using a comb or just going and picking random pieces and my hair looks absolutely terrible. To top it off she hit my eye with curling iron luckily it was the plastic in and not the barrel I could not imagine of being burned in the face. Finally after two hours of being in this salon and so uncomfortable from sitting in a ripped leather chair covered in duct tape cutting into my legs the entire time, we go to the register which I was surprised I was even being charged for this service! She tells me the fee is going to be 48$ I ask why it was so much for just curling my hair I didn't have a full style wash or blow dry and I look at the screen she charge me for an updo which I did not get and a separate service for curling which said $13. She took off $30 for the updo which she tried to tell me was for putting two bobby pins on the right side of my head I literally laughed out loud because I had to ask for her comb to fix it and redo it myself which took all of 20 seconds. So then my charge for curling went up to $18 I did go ahead and pay that because I had to get out of there I am so late and running behind now and honestly sick to my stomach and in tears because I'm so unhappy with the service provided. These were the most inexperienced , unprofessional so-called hairstylist I've ever encountered. All of their hair tools were cheap and these women had absolutely no idea how to professionally curl hair. I do not recommend ever going to this location the salon is an absolute joke read more

Came after work 6:00 they close at 7:00. They had no customer, but said it was to late for a color, I understood no problem. Came today shortly before 3:00 again door says they close at 7:00, however they have a handwritten note saying they are closing early at 5:00. They have a little over 2 hours now, but still not enough time for a color. Have enough stylist per customers, still not enough time ? Okay and here is the real kicker, I went with a co worker who had her had cut. Customer with a teen comes in no appointment it is now 4:30.
