They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time. I went to this salon for a face-framing highlight service and toner…read more My hair already had existing lightened pieces and old highlights through the lower lengths. My goal was not a dramatic transformation. I simply wanted the face-framing pieces blended into my existing highlights and toned closer to the reference photos I showed. Before the service, I showed multiple reference photos and clearly explained both the placement and the color tone I wanted. I specifically explained that I do not like orange or brassy tones. At the same time, I also explained that I did not want an overly ashy result because extremely cool tones can wash out my complexion. The reference photos showed the balance I was looking for, and I trusted the stylist's professional judgment to achieve a similar tone. Unfortunately, after the face-framing highlights and toner were completed, my hair was Noticeably warmer and more orange than it had been before the appointment. The attached before-and-after photos were both taken in natural light, and the difference is very clear. When I pointed this out, the stylist consulted with another team member. They discussed lifting the face-framing pieces further and using a different toner. I listened to their conversation, and their proposed solution seemed reasonable to me. We agreed that I would return about an hour later, after their next client, so they could correct the color. However, when I returned, a manager became involved and immediately changed the direction of the conversation. Instead of discussing how to correct the unwanted warmth, I was repeatedly told that if they lightened the face-framing pieces again, the top would become much lighter while the lower sections would remain darker. This same explanation was repeated over and over. The problem was that I was not complaining about brightness. I was talking about tone. I repeatedly explained that I wanted the orange/brassy tone corrected. I was not asking for dramatically lighter hair. I was talking about color tone, while the manager kept redirecting the conversation back to brightness and contrast. Despite explaining this multiple times, I felt that nobody was actually listening to what I was saying. The stylist who originally seemed willing to correct the issue ultimately said she was not comfortable proceeding with the correction. The entire interaction with the manager was extremely frustrating. From the moment she joined the conversation, I felt she approached the situation from a position of authority rather than trying to understand my concern as a customer. Instead of working toward a solution, the focus seemed to shift toward defending the original service. I completely understand that mistakes can happen. Hair color is complex, and no stylist can guarantee a perfect result every time. That was never my issue. In fact, I did not come back angry or demanding. I waited for 1.5 hours as requested, returned politely, and was fully willing to give them the opportunity to fix the problem. Had they attempted the correction and it still did not work, I would have accepted that. At least they would have tried. Instead, I felt as though I was being blamed for the situation. There were repeated explanations about my hair and why the result happened, rather than a genuine effort to address my concern. As the before photo clearly shows, my hair did not have the strong orange tone that appeared after the service. The manager eventually offered to call another salon, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable accepting a recommendation through her. What made the experience even worse was how the conversation ended. While I was still trying to discuss the issue, the manager repeatedly said, "Have a good day. Have a good day. Have a good day." Rather than feeling like customer service, it felt like an attempt to end the conversation and push me out the door. Only as I was leaving did the manager finally acknowledge that there was some orange in the result, after spending most of the conversation insisting that the color was correct. What frustrated me most was not simply the final color result. It was the fact that the stylist and another team member had already acknowledged the issue and proposed a correction, but once management stepped in, the focus shifted from solving the problem to defending the original service. I left with hair that was warmer and more orange than before the appointment, and with the feeling that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I have had my hair colored many times over the years and have visited many salons. I have never experienced a situation where a customer concern was handled this way. The final color was disappointing, but the way the situation was managed afterward was far more disappointing.

My six-year-old granddaughter had a knot in her hair so severe that we were honestly prepared for the worst--we thought she might end up with a buzz cut in the back. Instead of taking the easy way out, the stylists treated her with such kindness and respect. They spent several hours patiently working through the tangles, even providing her with hot chocolate to keep her comfortable while they worked their magic. After a thorough treatment, steaming, and a careful trim, the results were absolutely fantastic. Most importantly, my granddaughter was thrilled with how she looked. They turned what could have been a traumatic experience into a wonderful afternoon of pampering. We are so grateful for their skill and their compassion. Highly recommended!

This will be the third time I've been to Versus and finally, Finally, FINALLY I'm walking away…read morehappy. The first time, I had my 3A/B curly hair straightened by an intern. She burned me multiple times and ended up needing advice about heat temp and technique by the manager. She also tried to post before and after results of my hair even though on the form I signed when I first came in I specifically noted that I didn't want to have my pictures on social media. Afterwards, I asked how I should upkeep it and she just said to wrap it. I asked how to do that and she said "I don't know." I looked like Kate Middleton with a bad blow out the next day. The next time I came to just get a trim. The stylist only asked one question about if I was allergic to rosemary (even though I already wrote that in the intake form). She also parted my hair directly in my face and left the store (like actually clocked out) while I was under the hair dryer and told someone in passing to ring me up in 15 min. Last but not least I got my hair finger coiled and to be honest I was for once extremely happy with the result. The stylist answered all my questions and I was left very satisfied despite taking three hours. The only reason I've come back is that I have a bday gift card I'm trying to use up. Otherwise I'd never walk in again. It shouldn't have taken me three different services by three different stylist to be happy.
