All she did was make each nail a different length & shape. She seemed shocked when I told her I wanted them the same length. She spent 7-10 minutes messing my nails up. I also, got the most expensive pedicure & she didn't remove the calluses. When I asked her to please work on them more there was an up charge (they're still the same as when I went in). $20 up charge for gel polish. I'm not even charged that on Maui. Do your self a favor & go somewhere else!! I wish I hadn't of paid. This place is the literal worst. UPDATE: The bigger question is why is MANAGEMENT of the salon so quick to call every bad review a LIE? Because they know it's true, perhaps? In fact, that is the case! We were given robes, slippers and keys to the lockers to secure our belongings. We spent about 40 minutes in the whirlpool, then went back into the spa to shower before our appointment. When we were robed again, we went through a door to the "sanctuary", which is a beautiful sitting area with comfy chairs and couches next to a fireplace. They also offer a serve yourself tea and snack bar. I literally has the BEST cup of tea ever. It is called "Evening Comfort" I HIGHLY recommend having that when you are here. One of the things I love about this spa is their spa packages. It is a combination of different services, for an extremely fair price. Ex- massage, facial, mani and pedi... or massage facial, foot soak.. This is my fourth time taking advantage of them. And each visit has been five stars! That said, sadly this falls on the 'noticeably poor' end of my Yelp spectrum. Specifically, I feel it necessary to caution anyone wanting to get a salon service in Appleton to look elsewhere. It began when I made the appointment. The receptionist was noticeably unfriendly and rude. I don't live in the area anymore, so I'm fine with bluntness, but this very much felt like the receptionist was mad at me for even making an appointment. I chalked it up to the service industry being hellish right now and--because I was there for my sister's wedding and to see my best friend (who I hadn't seen in a year)--I agreed to pay the up-charge for the Friday/weekend appointment (believe it was around 15% more). At the time of my appointment, we were told to arrive early. We did, but it was unclear for what reason. The entire salon/spa area seemed like a forgotten space in the basement of this hotel (only two people were working that day). Think: old salon products on dusty shelves, askew chairs, open doors with cleaning supplies. We didn't fill out any paperwork and the woman doing our nails was actually running behind on a wax appointment, so we waited around for about 20 or so minutes. My friend and I each picked out a single color from the lackluster, minimal selection, still with high hopes. We talked to kill time until our manicurist arrived and began. However, about halfway through my pedicure, she got a phone call and left to attend to personal business--asking if we wanted water (we said yes, but it never came). Once the manicurist returned, she finished my pedicure and then my friend's manicure. After the weekend rate and 20% tip (because I'm not a monster), I probably paid around $250 for the manicure and pedicure service. Cut to the next day (my sister's wedding) and my friend and I both realize that our manicure and pedicure actually...aren't even complete? My friend's manicure was missing coats and had blank areas on her nails, and my pedicure (upon further inspection) was very light to be almost see-through (it was blue)--as if she forgot one coat as well (which would make sense since she was running behind; our appointment ran so long because she left halfway through). While I've heard good things about getting a massage here, I caution against booking any salon service. For nails, go literally anywhere else (I've heard even the place in the Fox River Mall is solid). The only reason I gave it one star (beyond the fact I had to) was because I'm assuming (since I haven't seen any problems) the utensils were at least clean and the manicurist was nice, even if she wasn't the best.

After the nail tech recommended I get dip powder nails I agreed but it went down hill. The nail drill burned me multiple times that left visible marks. The French tips were very uneven and the nails were uneven and bumpy. Edit: everyone else in the bridal party had a similar experience. Uneven nails, and burned off skin. My sisters nail tech even made her change the color she wanted to get her nails because the nail tech said "It's a bit ugly" (all she asked for was a white to pink ombré)
