I have found a new nail and spa salon. I just had a pedicure which was simply amazing. Hai (hope i spelled it correctly) was great. I was kind of worried at first because he looks so young, but please believe he did an amazing job! The atmosphere was nice and clean the equipment was in good working conditions. I got the WORST manicure of my life at The Nail Boutique. She never soaked my hands or put any lotion. She was using Sally Hanson products from Walmart on me. All she did was make each nail a different length & shape. She seemed shocked when I told her I wanted them the same length. She spent 7-10 minutes messing my nails up. I also, got the most expensive pedicure & she didn't remove the calluses. When I asked her to please work on them more there was an up charge (they're still the same as when I went in). $20 up charge for gel polish. I'm not even charged that on Maui. Do your self a favor & go somewhere else!! I wish I hadn't of paid. This place is the literal worst. UPDATE: The bigger question is why is MANAGEMENT of the salon so quick to call every bad review a LIE? Because they know it's true, perhaps? In fact, that is the case! BUYER BEWARE THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! If the nasty management wants to leave, another ugly deceitful reaction, I'll upload pictures too they're awful! I definitely got a manicure and a pedicure in this salon. She certainly used Sally Henson cuticle gel on me & made every single nail a different length & shape. I love this nail studio, it's my favorite. My only complaint is they charge me extra for when I want 2 different nail colors. It's not any extra work to switch paint colors halfway through so it just seems kind of dumb, I might as well get claws. read more

This was my first time here, and I definitely plan on coming back! My nail tech was incredibly nice and worked with me to make sure I got the design I wanted. Three weeks later and my nails still look nearly perfect despite some minor chipping on one of the nails. I highly recommend this salon if you're into nail designs! read more

Very nice place! They were able to get me I in quickly and do a full acrylic for $40. The tech was very nice and did an amazing job. Just a note because I didn't see it on their fb page, but they prefer you to pay in cash (though they don't harangue you if you do credit) due to rising credit fees. read more

Although they do a good job with nails, this nail salon is not sanitary. There is acrylic dust on every nail station , they use used files (files are porous material so they cannot be disinfected, they must be discarded after each use) and when I asked the lady to use a new file on me she gave me attitude and did not continue doing my nails, she had another person finish them. read more

This nail salon is honestly the best I've been to yet! Upon arrival I was greeted quickly and service was provided almost immediately. Once I sat down I was immediately offered a beverage. My nail tech, Kathy, was so very sweet and attentive! She made sure the whole way through that I was happy with the progress! I got long Stiletto nail extensions with a holo powder accent nail and magnetic cat eye polish nails and she did SUCH an amazing job on them~ I am most definitely coming back to this salon in the future! read more

I have finally found a great nail salon in Appleton! I received and excellent pedicure at Sky Nails. They were thorough in treating my nails and feet. The leg massage was great. There was a good selection of nail polish and it was neatly organized. Best of all, everyone was friendly and accommodating. A superb experience. Update: On my second visit, I had an opposite experience because a different person did the pedicure It was painful. Burning hot water was sprayed on my leg. She seemed detached and like she didn't care. During my first visit, the owner assured me that all the employees had the same level of care and skill. Clearly, that is not the case. BEST NAIL SALON IN APPLETON!! I have been living in Appleton for over two years and have visited many, many salons in the area in an effort to find one that is decent. This is BY FAR the best salon I have found. The owners are an incredibly nice family. They take their time to do exceptional work instead of taking too many appointments and rushing you out the door. We also had a great conversation with them during our pedicure! I won't name any other salons, but we have had horrible looking SNS nails, cut and bleeding cuticles where the tech has just laughed and not cared at all, people walking in who are taken before us when we have an appointment and long waiting times after our appointment was set. Had to update! It's been over two weeks since I had my nails done and these nails still look perfect! In the past I could only get gel to last for a week because they start to peel but these are still looking great. I always just thought it was me, but now I'm thinking it was the other salons. I called in to make an appointment and was able to get in day of. The nail technicians were very kind and took their time. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is due to cleanliness and how little it took before my nails chipped. The gel uv light/dryer was taped together and didn't look very clean. I have never gotten so many compliments on a manicure before in my life! But it came as no surprise because I was BLOWN AWAY after leaving this nail salon. First of all, they were extremely COVID aware. They are taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe such as taking your temperature, sanitization, and they have panels to separate the clients from the employees. Next, the nail technicians were extremely friendly but not pushy. They wanted to make sure you were comfortable and getting the service you wanted, exactly how you wanted it. I felt so relaxed while sitting in the pedicure chair. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was absolutely worth the extra money. They have so many scrubs you can choose from too, for the massage part of the pedicure (lavender, Chanel No. 5, orange, vanilla, and more!). After my pedicure was finished, it looked beautiful. The nail tech took his time to make sure the entire each nail was evenly painted with no paint on the skin around the nails. He was also not too hard and not too gentle during the massage but I guess this part depends on what you like in a massage! Finally, I got a gel manicure and once again, amazing service. The nail tech took his time to again make my nail polish look flawless. I have never enjoyed getting my nails done more and I will absolutely be returning to Sky Nail Salon as my regular salon. Thanks to the other great reviews, I decided to give this nail salon a try. If you have not tried this place yet, you absolutely must. I had THE BEST pedicure I have ever had...hands down! How could I brag so highly of 'just' a pedicure? It was THE most relaxing, soothing, pampered full service pedi for just a deluxe price I've experienced. Upon arrival, they do a temp check and have you fill out a Covid-19 form stating you're not sick but whatever. The kid giving me the pedi, his name was Hai and he was very personable. His English is good and he's a nice conversationalist. He was more meticulous than any other nail tech I've had and he took his time to make sure my toes was done perfect. This wasn't a rush job so don't expect a quick in/out. I did the deluxe and it included the usual callus removal and spa scrub. Not only the usual but it also included a mud mask kind of application and each calf and full feet were wrapped up thoroughly with two hot towels on each leg (not just a warm towel wipe down). Omg...heaven! It seems they add just a bit more spoiling for a decent price to begin with. These are such nice people, with such a great service and I would gladly recommend them to anyone! read more

I have been to this place three times within the last week I got a gel fill the gentleman that did it did it really thin for and then wanted to overcharge me because I had long nails I've never heard that before but OK every place is different charge me five extra dollars for my long nails OK I got the nine tonight dimensional nail polish on two fingers they overcharged me for that OK that's fine the gentleman that did my nails is very nice and personable but didn't know what brush number he was using didn't know the name of the powder didn't have any information about any of the products I should I got up and left right there but I was trying to be patient having had lots of problems other places in the area I thought I would have some patients the guy finishes the job I pay I leave I get home and hour later my nail breaks I go back the next day and he fixes the nail no problem I got a different kid this time he replaced one nail it took him an hour he didn't know any of the information about any of the products either I wanted my nail Fixed . It took him an hour to put on one nail That didn't even match in style . I told him I said that's really fun while you're gone or don't worry it'll be fine don't worry it'll be fine I know what I'm doing OK so then this is 20 minutes after they are supposed to close I think the kid first time I leave I get home two hours later that now breaks to the next day I go back there very rude and tell me I need to make an appointment and come back some other time because they're busy they're all open chairs they just didn't want to do the work they do not stand behind their work they don't know the technique there inexperienced I would never recommend this place in fact I recommend you don't go there don't waste your gas don't waste your time and by the way they ask all these nosy questions and all the other customers there a reek of weed. This place is very basic and the chairs were dirty the hand dryer's were dirty and so is the bathroom... They overcharge for the equality of work provided. This place is fine if you like thin nails. I've been getting my nails done for years and NEVER ever have had a nail break ... not once but twice ..... The staff can respond with their version of events. My young teen daughter and I usually go to Coco Salon, but we needed to get in on a Sunday and I found Sky Nails to be open. I called and they were friendly on the phone; gave me an appointment for two hours later, which we were fine with. We got to the salon and they greeted us right away; very friendly. We let them know we had an appointment (me for a pedi my daughter for a full set of acrylics). They asked us to pick out our colors while we waited (pretty standard) and I noticed there were signs by certain things saying "add $15$ or add $5". Whatever, different features have different prices. Then I was started about 10-15 minutes later (no big deal). I am noticing that everyone is very friendly...which is nice. I was asked to choose from a prices list for the pedicures that offered different features. I picked the most expensive one ($40), with the hot stone massage and extras. Meanwhile, another girl who had an appointment at the same time as us was taken ahead of my daughter, which is completely understandable. But then, a walk-in, who was told it would be 15-20 minutes (and this was after we had been waiting a bit already), was taken ahead of my daughter too. They did finally sit her in the chair to make it seem like they were going to start her soon, but they didnt start her until at least 45 minutes after our appointment start time. I did have a nice pedicure, the scrubbing, massaging and cuticle part, but the nails are not as "perfect" as they would be at my usual place. I went to wait for my daughter to finish and I could tell she was frustrated about something. I did see her technician and the manager/owner(?) talking to her about something earlier. I quietly asked her if everything was ok and she said yes. During our visit, I noticed the owner/manager(?) have a "just so you know it will be a little bit extra for that" conversation with two customers. I paid $55 for my pedicure (excluding tip) and $50 for my daughter's full set of acrylic nails (excluding tip). This is WAY more than I pay at my usual place. I also was told by my daughter that she asked her technician twice to make her nails shorter and she barely shortened them The third time she asked her, she refused and said "lets just see how they look" or something like that. AND, the owner/manager(?) came over and told my tween (I would have thought it would be obvious that I was paying), that she would have to pay $5 extra because they are longer??? I could tell my daughter was trying to turn around and look for me but her hands were literally tied. Again, they don't look nearly as nice as usual. Although the staff was friendly and I liked that they were open on a Sunday, it took way too long and was way too expensive. I was a dedicated Sky Nails customer when the previous owners were in place. Then after they left, I did not go back for a while. I've recently returned to Sky Nails and I am so happy I did!!! Steve, Kathy and Johnny are amazing. I know there are other people who work there and all I can say is every single one of them are so nice and their work is extremely thorough.
