Michael looks like a combination of Edward Scissorhands with a waistcoat and some steampunk vibes going on. His energy can be described as lively and friendly and you immediately know, this guy knows what he is doing and he is an artist! He has multiple locations, and I sat in an antique barber chair on the Quarrier St. location. I had wanted a modern shag cut with a specific fringe and had a picture. He knew exactly how to make it happen and watching him cut hair is nothing short of magic! As he made his way around my head, cutting, swishing and thinning, I could tell he was sculpting something good out of something drab. ( He even had me turn my head upside down for him to balance the cut!) I have to mention he has his OWN private label hair products and they smell AMAZING. (I recommend the honey shampoo/conditioner) I couldn't be happier with my hair, and that is no easy feat as I am a picky little brat. Charleston is lucky to have him for those of us who want rock-star hair, or a precision pixie he is the guy! This man is a trained Barber/ Stylist combo, so when you find that, you better not let go. He has trained in London and LA and it shows. His haircuts feel tailored just for you. I left today feeling cute, like Joan Jett mixed with a little Carol Brady.

A short time ago, she received a call from someone in the salon saying the person who was scheduled to do the updo won't be in and her appointment was cancelled because no one is available to do it. This is ludicrous, unacceptable and VERY unprofessional!!!! WHAT kind of business does this?! Certainly doesn't happen where we are from! She is not having any luck finding availability in other salons TWO days before the wedding. If you cared about your business and clients, you would find a solution. Simply unacceptable. Yes, she did get a refund, but you did not fix the problem!

Knowing this, they always work with me to get me an appropriate appt. I have problem hair, and worse, I'm particular. So, I may need a little extra time, but they are very accommodating. Tammy always makes my hair look its very best and has never tried to upsell me. When I have questions or suggestions, she is honest about what will work and what won't. I've always had great service from Tammy. I find her and her staff very professional, but in a relaxed way. You can tell that they all enjoy what they do, and they enjoy being there. They all seem to act as if they are a big, loving family. It shows in how they treat each other and how they treat their customers. I would definitely recommend the Palm Spa.
