I got my hair cut here a couple times when I needed a temporary place to go. The staff here are professional and friendly who take great care of their clients during each visit. I will say I struggled with the idea of having hair stylists in different tiers of pricing. I was assigned to one of their top stylists and their price was very high in my opinion. For what I need and what I got, it was hard to feel what I was paying for was worth it. I prefer to go to a place that prioritizes "men's grooming" so I absolutely enjoy that part of Hair M, but the hair stylist structure is unfortunately off putting for me. read more

Love getting my cut by Pedro. Every four weeks for a few years. I wish I had a way to book with him directly. I would pay him double his rate. There are no hours available anymore for working professionals--no Saturdays available any longer. Really disappointing. ----I hear you about 7pm, Celeste. But I own my own business and Saturdays are the only consistent days. I was told Pedro will not be cutting on Saturdays when you return to service on Saturdays. So bummed to have to find a new place. I've been a very loyal client of Pedro's for over two years now. Based on his years of experience (36) and online reviews, I selected Pedro the first time because I needed an epic haircut for my wedding, which he delivered. I recently moved an hour and fifteen minutes south of Hair M's Lake Oswego location where Pedro works his magic, and I STILL go to Pedro for my hairstyling. Why? He's extremely friendly and consistently does expensive looking hairstyling effortlessly. And he does so in a very short period of time, so having him as your hairstylist makes things easier logistically as well. The cut/style he did for me most recently is his best work yet. Pedro cut my hair so expertly that I can style it a number of ways, all of which look great, and it's extremely easy for me to do. She's extremely confident in her technique which shows in the end product I give her an idea of what I want and leave the rest to her. The front desk receptionist, Dani is just great too. For the longest time I could not find a good hair designer to cut hair the way I like it. I was told by many friends of mine to go to Hair M to give it a try. One day I made an appointment with Hair M in Kruse village in Lake Oswego with Pedro. Pedro is Very personable and he listens to what I have to say and a very detailed hair designer! I made an appointment online and when I arrived at the day of my appointment I was told that it was cancelled. When I arrived at Hair M nobody was there. I signed onto the tablet and my profile came up, but it said there was no record of an appointment. . I called the Hair M corporate office who told me that the manager deleted my appointment! My appointment was for 11:15AM and they wasted over half an hour of my time before I was told about the manager deleting my appointment. Don't waste your time at this snob scene! read more

Where should I start? I'm the loyal customers at this location for the past 2 years. I usually get my haircut with the same professional until it's impossible to make the appointment with her. For the past 3 times I got my hair cut with different hairdresser. The result were on and off till I hit the jackpot last time. She asked if I have a sensitive skin. I said no I didn't. I have been going to Pedro for over a year- he is an excellent stylist and has helped me find multiple personalized hairstyles that look great. Unfortunately, whoever books the appointments for this location is not great and this rating reflects that person and is not in any way a reflection on Pedro. Given Pedro's popularity (well deserved), it is necessary to book appointments a month or so in advance. Recently their booking person cancelled my appointment one business day before it was scheduled saying they had messed up the schedule. I was unable to rebook with Pedro and booked "any stylist" late in one evening for an appointment later in the week. The next day I received a message from the scheduler saying i had booked the appointment at the same time as them and I would have to rebook because their computer had frozen and they had booked someone else for that time slot, bumping me (not sure how that is possible). It's now almost two months since my last cut. Disappointed with the scheduling and the responses when communicating with the scheduler via text. It's looking like will have to find another salon on short notice since they also stopped doing weekend appointments due to staffing issues. Hopefully they can improve the front of shop customer service. read more

I've been going to one of the downtown Hair M locations for several months now but decided to give this one a shot for a change. Had my hair cut by Pedro. He knows his stuff and is super friendly too. I always feel like I'm in good hands when I get my hair cut at Hair M. My one complaint (and the reason I dock a star) is that more often than not they try to sell you some hair product. They aren't pushy, but it seems like every time I go there's a different hair product that will work much better for my type of hair! This may be because I've had my hair cut by a different person each time, however it does make me think that the employees are instructed to push products on their clients. However I will say that when I have voluntarily asked for recommendations the advice has been very helpful. read more
