Aaliyah took a long time to blow dry her hair, but thought all was ok. When I went to check out they added $21 to the $59 bill because she has long hair. I thought $80 was very steep for this casual salon and junior stylist, but I paid it and left. At home I noticed my daughter's hair was completely uneven. Went back next day and manager tried to fix the haircut, but because it was cut so unevenly she would have had to cut maybe 4 more inches off to fix it, which she said would grow back in a month. I don't know anyone whose hair grows that fast. When I said my daughter was upset with me because she just wanted to get an inexpensive haircut at Supercuts, she laughed. My response was they could not have done a worse job than what we received at Hue. No refund or anything was offered and it seemed like we were laughed at. If they were able to fix it, a refund is not necessary, however if the haircut is unfixable a refund should be offered. Aaliyah was nice, but I don't feel like you can charge $80 for an obviously brand new stylist who can't trim straight hair.

I booked a blow out for $65 online and by the end of the appointment I was charged $135. I was in no way prepared to pay that and had no idea that services were being added throughout the appointment. My hair was washed and to my understanding conditioned and had a protein treatment I'm honestly not sure. After seeing my face the stylist comped a protein treatment service that I'm sure I needed but if I would have knew of the additional fees being added would have requested to come back when I had it in the budget to have it done. It ended up costing me $110 in the end again that wasn't discussed prior or during the appointment ... evidently I was charged for a trim, 6 snips of the scissors cost $45. I won't be back and wouldn't say don't go; however do your homework, as a first timer I would have appreciated being educated about the services being done or added beforehand even without a consultation. A brief conversation would have sufficed; unfortunately I had to learn the hard way hopefully so you do not have to. I don't think my hair even looked like a $100 hairdo but ‍ lesson learned.

Immediately after I sat down, he recommended I cut my hair almost up to my shoulders (it was down to my waist) and I said no. I asked for 2"-2.5" off my ends, some long layers and a bang trim. Nothing crazy. He showed me how much he was going to cut from a shorter section of my hair, seemed like the agreed upon amount, but instead of cutting that off my ends and keeping my length, he just cut straight across from that point pretty much up to what he recommended in the beginning. I was obviously very upset. We had to pause for a moment before he continued. I also had to tell him twice not to take any weight out of my bangs, just straighten them out. When my hair was finished, I was happy and it looked nice. The technique was there and I was relieved that it looked good but it was wayyy shorter than what I wanted. On the way home I got more upset about it and it was just not the best experience. I didn't feel listened to or respected in my choices and he made a few comments about how I previously cut my own hair. I really tried to keep calm after my hair was chopped and remained respectful, but now I'm definitely not happy about the service and how I was treated.

Angelica was who dyed my hair the other stylists came over to give some help after it looked like there was a line of copper and really dark roots compared to the rest of my hair. Then was upset when there were brassy, orange areas in my long hair. Wanted to have Carole, the owner, do it since I'd seen some of her highlight work that was good. Couldn't fit into her appointment schedule as she was traveling and had Cherry do it. Was dissatisfied with the color & appearance of "zebra" stripes near the scalp as it grew. I called Carol, who said she'd take a look. She said it looked like 8 week's growth, but checking it she realized it was 4 weeks old. (Normally lasts 10 weeks between coloring). I was charged full price (which should have been discounted since it only lasted 4 weeks. I was happy that Carol was doing it, figuring she'd be the best colorist experience-wise. But it wasn't...same orange spots scattered through, she left the toner on too long to cover the orange and then the hair was way too dark. She was busy re-doing another clients highlights while doing mine & must've lost track of time. She then trimmed my bangs way too short and totally slanted...and, to add insult to injury...told me i had a cowlick & that's what the bang slant was. I'm 68 & have never had a cowlick in my very straight hair in my life! I called her as soon as I got home and told her again she cut the bangs crooked. I had paid another $145 + tip for what looked like a botched do it yourself at home job. At this point I told her I wanted my money back. Her answer: no, I used product! Beware of this salon!
