He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me. I always have to follow up with a flat iron. That's a big deal for my hair type. I left with my hair looking amazing and didn't need to touch it. Also the products made my hair smell amazing! I was charged extra for longer hair but I expected it and the price was fair. Most importantly, I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Well, Borealis breaks that trend wide open. The stylists at Borealis are extremely professional and enjoy listening to some great music while you get your trim on. My personal experience has been with stylist Noel Lance. I cannot tell you how GREAT he is with color (both men's and women's)!! I've seen him take yesterday's wannabe and turn it into tomorrow's fad. If you decide to hang out with the guys and girls at Borealis, you will notice that the salon has some limited parking. Don't even try to park in the back (you will need a can opener to get out). Parking on the street can be very limited, so I'd suggest parking in the neighboring lot used by many businesses adjacent to the salon. The salon itself is an old house that is an interesting shade of seafoam green. The temperature in the back rooms can get a little warm in the summer, so please dress accordingly. Each stylist accepts credit cards and offer their own hand selected hair care product lines. You will easily make a friend or two with each visit. Everyone is very friendly and eager to satisfy. My hair was getting out of control, so I searched high and low for someone who had good reviews that had done tape-ins before. That's where Jennifer came in. I emailed her in desperation telling her my situation and she got me in THE SAME WEEK, and she works late hours so you can actually schedule with her after work which I feel like never happens.
