In contrast, hair that is pulled from the roots can take years to grow back. I'm wondering why a salon that specializes in natural hair has a stylist who doesn't know how to comb hair. Using conditioner and parting before combing is key. You also must part before blow drying. She attempted to comb my hair all at once and to blow dry it all at once. This is a bad practice. Also, she did not condition or moisturize my hair well. I've been to other salons and no one has had a problem combing my hair. It is next level for someone to pull your hair out. I told her my scalp hurt and was sore. She acted like it was no big deal. I went in the salon with very healthy long hair that was even. But I left with my hair being a choppy mess.

I was experiencing hair loss due to a medication. I was so scared that it would be permanent. Her assessment of my hair damage, showed her extensive knowledge in her fieId. She developed a treatment plan for me and I stuck to it with natural hair.
