Greatly disappointed in owners attitude. One cannot even expect discount after couple of bad services from this place. Wish owner knew that doing business in USA a high level of customer service is also expected and enjoyed when custoner is willing to pay heavy price. Customers also will expect right attitude and occassional ownership of mistakes. I don't recommend this salon for hair color specially . Went to find a new place in town for eyebrow threading because a girl's gotta keep them on fleek! Just kidding ... but seriously speaking, I felt optimistic of this place based on others' reviews and they did not disappoint. I wanted a place with reasonable pricing, efficient and neat service, and this really has what I was looking for. I didn't have to wait long and the girl who did my brows did a great job, checking with me to make sure I was feel okay and not in pain. This is my favorite threading location in Birmingham! I'm from Memphis originally, and used to get my brows threaded there as well. When I moved here, I tried a location (in no way affiliated with this one!) and the lady was rude and over threaded my brows like crazy BUT, this place is awesome. They are super friendly, always joke with me when I self deprecate on how long it's been since my brows have been done (which I love). It's always quick, and it's incredibly affordable! Update: they also are incredibly sweet and offer rose water to help soothe the irritated skin post-threading! Definitely suggest this location, as the ladies are super nice and easy to talk to. I also love how clean the environment is and how affordable their services are. I have not tried any other services (facials or haircuts) but I am tempted and may try them out soon. I started going to Lavish when I first moved to Hoover back in April. I continued to go back no because I loved the service but I was too nervous to try anywhere else. I never walked out feeling amazing about my eyebrows and even a few times left kind of sad. When I was there I always felt like they were rushing to get it done even though I would be the only one in the salon. The ladies were never rude so it was never a matter of how I was treated I simply did not love my eyebrows when I would leave. Again, to me this place was simply ok for eyebrow threading however my mom did have a terrible experience for getting her hair colored which deserves it's own review. read more

So thankful to have found Lush! After years of living in DC and moving back to the Birmingham area, I was pleasantly surprised to see that a place like Lush had opened in such a good location. I called ahead and was told that I did not need to make an appt. for eyebrow threading. I walked into the shop, which is kind of barren, and was seen immediately by a girl with short hair. She was kind and welcoming and did a fantastic job on my brows! I normally have to point out stray hairs that were missed during the process, but her work was flawless. She then asked if I wanted lotion or alcohol. I opted for lotion and she gave a little massage to my brow as she rubbed it on. Always appreciated! To top it off, it was only $8 (+tip)! I plan on going back to have a facial since the prices are reasonable. Parking out front of the store. I can only speak for the brow threading, but I have been here several times and am quite pleased. Every technician is very thorough, friendly, and quite quick! The spa is also extremely clean and modern/not cluttered. If you've never been threaded, I definitely recommend it over tweezing or waxing, as it is just as complete, takes about the same amount of time, but doesn't have any possibly-irritating waxy mess. You will lay back in a chair, they will brush and trim your brows, and then use thread to 'pluck' the hairs. The tops of the brow will be done first (unless you tell them not to). Then the technician will ask you to use both hands to pull up and down, taut on the brow she is working on. Then the middle, then the other brow, then she'll apply some soothing lotion/aloe and you're all set! I will be trying other services in my return visits. read more

I get my eyebrows threaded and dyed here every 2-3 weeks and am always extremely satisfied. Last week I got my lashes tinted and curled for the first time. I have extremely blonde lashes and do not like the up-keep of false lashes. I am obsessed with this service! It looks like I have lengthening and thickening mascara on, and I have neither. I highly recommend this service to anybody not wanting to take the full jump to getting false lashes, but does not like putting on mascara all the time. Not the best eyebrow threading I've been to. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded here twice and both times I was left unsatisfied with my eyebrows. The first time, the lady was very rude. And the second time, they were nice but I asked for something specific and she completely ignored me to do what she wanted. I asked her to shape them up and give me an arch because I have none and all she did was shape them up because she "likes them thick". Which is not what I asked for. and they're not even. I came in for a bikini wax. The lady was not very friendly at all . There was still left over hair was she said she was "finished" i asked her to wax again...she did in certain spots .
