We decided on red. She knew that I didn't want a dark red (my hair is really, really thick and black so it is difficult for color to break through) so created a custom blend for me, which would allow the red to be visible. The appointment was 4-5 hours long. She was very friendly, honest, attentive to my feedback and would describe each step to me. This hair dresser is the worst! My appointment was for 2pm. I didnt get seated until almost 245. Once seated she started on with the politics. Praising the rioters and wishing for hard working peoples businesses to be destroyed. I see why she was so behind. She twice forgot what I wanted done. She was so focused on black lives mattering she couldnt focus on the task at hand. Then she started cheering like a cheerleader when the news switched to the riots on sunday night. Saying ugs has insurance etc etc. She also had a funny odor coming off of her. Maybe booze, some kind of drug emmitting from her pores or just poor hygiene, not sure which. I became really concerned when she mentioned recently travelling to new york for a hair dresser show that was cancelled but told me she still managed to save the day by going out to eat twice. I had a wonderful experience with the talented ladies at Hair Passion Salon. Harjot did an amazing color correction on my dark Korean hair to turn it into a beautiful rose gold ombre/balayage, just like I wanted. She has great attention to detail and answered any questions I had about the entire process. It was great to have a stylist who understands Asian hair, and I felt the entire salon was well-equipped and knowledgeable to handle any type of hair. They were also some of the nicest people I've ever met, and everyone takes precautions (masks, hand sanitizer, distanced from other clients) to ensure their clients are in a clean and safe environment. I also chose this salon because I love that the owner, Jaclyn, supports Black Lives Matter. To any haters out there, don't go to this salon, you don't deserve amazing hair. In this day and age, when nearly all US companies, even NASCAR, support #BLM, and you think that's wrong -- maybe ask yourself if you are on the wrong side of history. I booked an appointment 90 days out and days before my son's appointment I called to just verify the correct time. To be met with I no longer have an appointment and the stylist no longer worked there. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I called back and fortunately someone was able to tell me where my stylist went. Tatyanna is now at My Pals Barbershop & Salon in Medford on Middlesex Ave. Fortunately Tatyanna is a professional and she was able to still make room in her schedule to keep our appointment. Hair passion was really willing to let me walk in there and leave without a service. The customer service really was zero here and unfortunately I would not consider using them for any service given their unprofessionalism. I found my forever home!!! I recently relocated to Boston from San Diego and I was desperately looking for a new place to do my eyelashes and my hair. I found hair passion salon randomly while looking for a deal on Groupon! I have to say it, it was the best Groupon purchase I have made so far! I got my eyelashes done by Veronica and they look so good! I mean, they are just perfect. Veronica did such a great job. She was fast but very delicate with my eyelashes! And the result was just what I was looking for! After Veronica was done with my eyelashes I was able to chat with the owner of the salon, Jaclyn. I told her that I was desperate for a new hair cut and color. She was able to find some time for a consultation and she booked me for the next day to fix my hair. I 100% trusted her. I just showed her a picture of what I was looking for and I told her "do whatever you think would look best for me". The result was just stunning, much better than the picture I showed her. My experience with this salon was absolutely perfect. The owner really care about her costumers and, even more important, she cares about her staff. All the staff is very friendly and genuinely happy to be at work. The cherry on top is the salon atmosphere and the great choice of music. Would not recommend Tatyana whatsoever. Rude and doesn't know what she's doing and obviously doesn't know what thin out means. I left with the same amount of hair just a bit shorter for over 70$. I wouldn't go back. Within 5 minutes after sitting down, I was told a clarifying treatment will be added. No questions like are you interested or I would recommend, just straight up I will give you treatment without telling me the price of it. Then when blow drying she never asked how I like it until I realized she's blowing my front hair towards the back. I am not 40yo and I don't look like one so not sure why she decided that's the style she's gonna give me. When I told her I don't want it that way she started to be rude. She should be glad I tipped at the end. Also I said I want my hair thinned out when making the appt on the phone and before she washed my hair but nope, didn't get none of that. I really wanted to LOVE this salon. The girls are so kind and warm. They make you feel heard about what you want done to your hair and brows etc, but my concern is their lack of knowledge. First visit: My first visit was last week. I got an express keratin treatment, eyebrow lamination and a lash lift. Let's start with the keratin. I've been getting keratin in my hair for over ten years. Seemed like she followed the process. She told me I could wash my hair the next day, which I was shocked. Never, have I ever been able to wash my hair less than 24 hours. So, I did because she said it would be fine. It literally was like I never got anything done. Lash lift was great. No complaints here. Eyebrow lamination -- first off, why wouldn't she shape and clean up my brows first? She tinted them and shortened them, which I'm not sure why and now I need to fill them in more than I did before. I thought the lamination would get rid of the need to put wax on them every day, but I still have my little curly pieces. Overall, pretty dissatisfied with it. I call back and let them know about the keratin issue. She said she'd be happy to fix it and even admitted she didn't use the right keratin mix. THEN she charged me 25 dollars for her mistake. Like why? I would have never went back if I knew I had to pay for her mistake -- after she sounded like she was going to fix it for her error. Again, I really want to like this place, but it was a very upsetting experience today. read more

She listens to what you want and, more importantly, what you don't want, and she checks in throughout the process. Came in for my daughters first hair color ever for her 14th birthday. My daughter was shy and had trouble communicating with Jackie initially what she wanted but Jackie took the time to pull it out of her and help my daughter have her dream hair. Made this mamma cry when I saw how happy she was later. Customer service was excellent and Jackie went above and beyond to make my little girl feel beautiful. My hair is super fine and curly and it is SO HARD to find a place that can cut it the right way. I live in NYC but I'm from Massachusetts. So on one of my trips back home to MA I was recommended to go to this salon for a curly cut. They did not disappoint and knew what they were doing. Jaclyn, the owner, did my cut herself. Having such fine hair is def a sensitive thing for me and she took her time to understand what I was looking for and empathize with me....giving me tips and product recommendations to have my hair looking it's best. She even checked back in on me a few times after my visit to see how I was liking the cut. They really care about their customers here and things like that go such a long way. I am not one to go to a salon and spend tons of money on myself. I am not a girly girl I usually ponytail it up and just color my grays with the box hair color. However I saw one of the salons post about needing a model so I reached out and volunteerd never did I think I would be selected I usually don't but this time I did. and because of covid I was even more leary however very excited. Well the day comes and from the moment I walked in I had to sanitize and they even asked if i wanted a diffrent mask. they had sanitized pens for me to fill out the contract tracing form which I had no problem with it was great to see. the chairs are spaced out more than the 6ft and It was so nice to have some normalcy. I am relatively shy and really don't know much about girly things ( I was scheduled for hi lights and low lights to hide my grays. I usually have no clue about blends and things) However the questions they asked me really helped me. We went over like my schedule how often to I go to the salon whats my budget it was nice to know they had options and was willing to work within my budget and timeline for me. so the process begins and each and eveything my stylist Tatyanna touched was immedialty sanitized and washed down it was so nice. The owner( Jackie) was there and I felt like we knew each other forever. we laughed and it was very very nice and to know that it is very close to home make it even better. I plan on telling everyone I know to go there. My hair came out awesome and I even added a cut to it, I feel brand new especially after these rough couple of months.
