She made a comment when first putting the color on my level 10 bleached hair that it was already grabbing the color. Once she was done, she went into the back room, stayed there for 30 minutes without checking the progress of my color, and finally emerged and put me in a shampoo chair. And I was charged $125 for that and it took all of 10-12 minutes to put on my hair. The shampoo lady spent more time on me than Mickey did. But what really irritated me is that she charged me $50 for a pixie blow dry that took 5 minutes and no styling was needed. I was not told of that cost by anyone. The receptionist told me that she always checks the pricing before charging anyone. But she is a receptionist following what she is told to do. Mickey should have told her to adjust that price given the fact that I have a short pixie. If I had long thick hair that took 15 minutes or more to blow dry, maybe $50 would be worth it, but even that seems excessive. I am apalled. Needless to say, she got no tip!

As soon as she started her 2nd client, she and her client began to talk about something completely inappropriate and the owner made comments that have no business being said around clients, particularly a new client she had never met. I was so shocked at what I was hearing, I told her I would be leaving and went to another salon. I have no doubt that Kay is a fantastic hairdresser, but between having to wait upwards of a half an hour for my appointment and having to sit and listen to inappropriate comments from her, I am unwilling to give her my business.

Located off Rt 3 in the same plaza as Lash Moi and Namaste Indian restaurant. Booking an appointment was pretty straightforward, and I felt fortunate to find availability this week. What was good? Plenty of parking and a cute storefront (jewelry, hand masks, bags, etc. Gave a sort of co-op feeling as there is also a hairdresser on site. Areas for improvement: Talk to the client, explain what will be involved in the facial, and advise them at every step. For example, when I put on a mask, you might feel some tingling. Probably the worst thing was this was a "dry facial". I inquired about this at the end, and she said she "wet her fingers and used a warm towel because she was concerned about my lashes." This was substandard service at best. There was mask residue on my neck and in my hairline. No lip balm at the conclusion of the service. Did not mention after-care instructions, whether sunscreen was applied, no lip balm or hand massage. Not sure if it is because she is untrained, unfamiliar with other skin types, or didn't care. I will not be returning.
