Shimmer is ALWAYS clean and ready to accommodate all of the clients that are in the salon. Second, the ambiance in the business - I have to say, I love the comfortable yet stylish decor in Shimmer. Brand new chairs (super comfortable for the longer appointments) - and new chairs at the washing and dryer stations. I love to see places that maintain their furniture and decor; no one wasn't to sit in old and dirty salons. I have to say, the best part about the place is Nichole! She has always made sure that I was in the best hands! I began having her do my hair from when she worked at another salon. I had to follow her to her own salon! Nichole has time and time again worked with my schedule; which can be difficult. She's made sure that I can get all of the services that I need and get on my merry way- lickity-split! The quality of care that you'll receive here is A+ - I've religiously gone to Shimmer for hair cuts, styling, products, and the occasional special service or treatment. I've never personally gotten a color or dye job, however - I've referred all of my friends and they have also religiously gone back! You name it - they can do it. But I was so impressed with that, that I called her back the next day when she did have time to fit me in. Well, I was looking to try a curly cut for the first time, because I have very thick curly hair that I have a very hard time managing. And I had read reviews of hers that said she was great with curls, let me tell you, Lisa is the curl master!! I walked in with frizzy, tired curls, and walked out with the cutest haircut! I am thrilled with my haircut, and 3 days later my curls are still going strong!! Not frizzy or tired, nice and bouncy and spirals! Apparently…read moreshe no longer works there, but if someone knows where she went please let me know because I'd follow her to whatever salon she went to. Please someone tell me where she went! I called and asked for an appointment with a Rachel and when they said she no longer worked there I booked with another stylist. I got Tara. I asked for only a little trim because I'm growing my hair out from a pixie and I SPECIFICALLY told her I did NOT want the layers on the left (fuller) side of my hair shorter than the right side. She started cutting and I mentioned she was cutting a lot off, she simply said it was dead and she had to so I let it go. I was sad but I let it go. I declined a blow dry and went home with wet hair. When my hair dried not only did I realize the inches she took off, but what did I discover?! The layers on the left side of my hair are WAY SHORTER than the right side! Also they flip out in a ridiculous way because she cut through a curl in a weird way. I look lopsided and ridiculous. I'm SO disappointed and furious.

I not only got an amazing color & highlight done but also made an appointment for a return color & highlight... needless to say... I left this place feeling like I looked like one of those Pinterest Models and the prices are really good on all of their services.
