I've struggled for a while about whether or not to write this review. Because they're very kind and…read moresweet, and that may have been the only Positive part of my experience. I visited on March 5, and saw Karen. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted (see below). She argued with me, claiming that my hair "pulls red" (it doesn't-I have well water that has a heavy concentration of iron. I have since installed a filter to avoid this issue moving forward). I asked for platinum, icy blonde. After about 5-10 minutes of "explaining" why it wasn't a good idea (despite the fact that I've had it done 100 times before), she finally relented and said ok. $200+ later, my actual result is posted below. Finally-the cut and style. It was ok. Technically, it was exactly what I asked for, but she took off much more than I had asked her to, and my layers are chunky and choppy, making my hair appear much thinner at the ends than it actually is. If the color had just been a mistake, I would totally understand. But, she argued with me, told me I didn't know what I was doing, and proceeded to do what she thought was best. For the amount of money that I paid, that is totally unacceptable. See the pics. My hair came out DARKER than when I walked in. I'm very, very disappointed.

They have a cute little shop on site that sells high quality products like tank tops and candles. This shop supports charities and hosts events. Last time I was there, they were set up for Christmas shopping, offering hot chocolate and champagne on top of more items from vendors. This shop is quaint with a lot of spirit! Kim F. is fabulous! She has been doing my hair for 10 years and I have followed her to 3 different salons. I totally trust her with my hair and sometimes give her a little freedom to do as she pleases within some boundaries as she knows what I like. She is super sweet with my daughter. I just enjoy spending a little time with her every couple of months and what she does for my look. (She also did my hair for my wedding a few years ago and it came out way better than I ever anticipated and she also did my makeup too!)
