Almost always starts my haircuts 10-15 minutes late. Books multiple appointments and makes me wait while she does other people's hair. Once I asked if she could use her razor to trim my beard (would've taken her all of 20 seconds) and she said "that's not my job." But today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I asked her very politely after my haircut if she could address an issue with the way she cut it, and she gave me weird roundabout answers for three days until she finally said that I would have to get another full haircut if I wanted anything done. I will say up front, that I asked her to do this about a month after I got my haircut, but there were several reasons for this: being busy, far from her, trying to give the haircut time to see if it would get better as it grew out etc... I usually let my hair grow out for several months, so in my timeline, this is still relatively early in my haircut. But I noticed that there was a problem with the shape of the haircut that she did which could be addressed if one portion was cut down a bit, something that would take very little time to do... Anyway, I was a customer of a few years, always tipped more than 20% and asked for the bare minimum, having never complained once, who asked her to fix something she did wrong (that would take her 10 minutes MAX) and she refused. That's nowhere close to 5-star customer service. read more

I've been dyeing my hair blonde for about a year (at another salon) and had a lot of regrowth I wanted to get rid of; I also had a weird midshaft orange color from a past touch up at said salon. Claire took me from uneven multi-colored hair to a beautiful natural blonde with dark roots IN ONE SESSION! Exactly what I wanted and more. I am so happy with the results even almost 2 months after. I want to say I am beyond happy with the service I received. Claire did an exceptional job on my hair. My appointment was for 1 hour and she cut and styled my hair in less time than that. I am 23 weeks pregnant and appreciated the length of time my haircut took. I showed her a picture of the style of hair cut I wanted and she did exactly how the picture was. It was my first time coming to this salon but I'm happy I did. I was able to get a same day appointment as well. I will be coming back for more services soon. I wanted to change things up a bit and get my hair permed, so I met with Claire for a consultation and she recommended the digital perm. I came back the next week for my session and while I wanted bigger curls, she recommended smaller ones because I of the length of my long hair (the curls don't last as long due to the weight). She even fixed a portion of my hair was darkened incorrectly by a previous stylist at another salon in Pasadena. Long overdue review. I got a perm months ago. Claire was incredibly nice, staying past her hours to help me since I was only able to come at a certain time, and she definitely knows her craft. She reached out to me that the chemicals may have not worked since other recent clients had curls that loosened after the first wash, and she offered to open up a spot in her schedule to fix the issue. Since redoing the perm, the curls have stayed intact for almost 6 months now. My hair never felt frizzy or dried. It looked healthy this whole time. Claire is extremely sweet and extremely meticulous. She's a very kind hearted person who genuinely cares and wants to make sure she does the best work. I got a balayage (ash). She was pretty punctual- it started exactly on time. She went over the what way of layering my hair would show off the style better (it turns out too many layers are not optimal). She also was extremely careful in terms of making sure that nothing got on my forehead or ears ( she has pretty cool ear protectors). She was also very careful and attentive and checked in with me to see how I was doing the entire time ( because I have a lot of hair, it ended up taking a lot longer than she initially anticipated). I also really appreciated that she combed through the pictures afterwords, and called me back because she told me that she like couldn't sleep at night because she noticed something that wasn't up to her level of performance.
