Not true. She is a liar and sat there arguing with my 83 year old mom and charged her for the haircut. Shame on her and for taking advantage of an older lady like that. Shame on her for doing this to a regular client. Because my sister paid cash we have no proof for the exception of $100 note she wrote and attached to a card as the gift certificate. It never showed that my mom used it and was getting deducted. She would always cross out the $ amount and deduct what the hair cut cost. Ex $100 gift card, used $20, $80 balance. She just flat out refused the gift card that shows the full $100. I am disgusted that she would literally steal $100 from a regular client who is 83 years old. Shocking and ballsy. Do not go to her. I used to until she messed up my hair but I stopped years ago and didn't write a bad review then. But now, ripping off your regular client or any client for that matter. Jealissa cuts and colors my hair in a way that brought them to life and has made them easy to manage. Most importantly she has taught me how to style my curls (or straighten them) on my own. I didn't realize before going to her how important it is to find someone who is willing to help you figure this out. One reason I really give both Jealissa and Jen credit is they help their clients maintain their hair in a manageable way. When mine grows out and is overdue for a cut (#QuarantineLife) you cannot tell. The color fades nicely as well. I honestly don't know how she does it! She is also mindful about the maintenance as it relates to expenses. I don't get a full cut, color, highlight, & gloss every time. We assess as needed which has undoubtedly saved me so much $$ over the years. I recommend her to everyone I know and a few friends have since started going to her too. We sometimes schedule our apts back to back and pop champagne with Jealissa in Jen in their GORGEOUS studio. It makes for such a fun "treat yo self" type day. It's also worth noting that I have very thick, curly hair. My best friend who goes to Jealissa has very thin, straight hair. She has helped us both navigate these differences with product and styling tips over the years. (I've included some pictures of us.) I know both girls at JWADE studio have a talent to help anyone feel confident and happy with their hair. Lastly, I attended 10 weddings in 2019. Almost all were outside Chicago but Jealissa was so helpful in teaching me simple styles I could do on my own. When my BFF got married last November she kindly helped us pin up the bride-to-be's hair at our back-to-back apts. She said she wrote my phone number down wrong so she couldn't contact me to tell me the topper was in - but we had been texting, so I am not sure why she didn't look there for my number. I finally contacted her to find out what was going on and that's when she said she lost my number. She told me she's an expert, but unfortunately she sold me a product completely unsuitable for me - even though her website claims she will find the "perfect" hairpiece for her clients. She also told me she guarantees her work and I found out that was a lie. Once the topper came in, I went to the stylist that Ersolene personally recommended and the stylist said it was far too dense for me. I also noticed it was very wavy (not what we agreed upon) and completely the wrong texture for me. I asked Ersolene for a refund and she refused. She offered to thin it out, but I paid $650 for a custom topper designed for me, not an after-market, thinned out piece. I even offered to take less than 100% refund and she could keep the topper and she wouldn't even discuss it. Her business practices are deceptive and she is not at all customer-service-oriented. Once I complained and threatened a lawsuit she took her website down - which shows you just how shady this woman is. It's ok though, I have screenshots of all her dishonest claims that I can use in small claims court. I wish we could have worked something out, but she was unreasonable.
