Awesome local and family-run barbershop! The owner is a real cool guy and a military veteran (that offers military veterans a discount too). Quick read: solid cut at an affordable price. I was in an out in less than an hour. I have been looking for a barbershop in Cumming for the past few weeks. I wanted something in the middle of quality and affordability as I will need a haircut at a minimum every two weeks for my job (military). The fade ended up being higher than I would normally get, regardless, it was still a quality trim that I am happy with. Unfortunately, I will be moving soon. It's rare for me to do a review on locally owned shops that doesn't have to do with food, but Haircut999 offers so much that I had to make the exception. Haircut999 is owned by Jason and Jenny. They're both two of the sweetest and most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. They definitely value you as a person and treat you as if you're family. The moment I walked in I received the warmest welcome from the married couple, and I immediately felt like I was at home. Jason has a very humble attitude and has a willingness to listen -- this goes beyond just the haircut and how you want it, but also anything you want to talk about. He is a veteran and has a lot of life experiences that he's also willing to share with you. Jenny has a very friendly but also motherly demeanor. She's very gentle but also outgoing -- someone you would want to become best friends with. The shop hasn't been opened for very long, I believe they're coming up on their 1 year anniversary at the time of this post, but they've already been recognized by their community and neighborhood as one of the best. It may also be helpful to know before you go... They don't take appointments so walk-ins are highly encouraged. They do tend to be busier during the weekends and after 4pm on most days. a quiet cabin-like setting with relaxing music and literally the cheapest haircuts around? I'm like 99% sure this place is run by just one dude who's trained a lot to do all kinds of haircuts with lots of different styles and hair textures so this place is excellent for everyone! I don't have much hair where I'd have sideburns so I asked for him to shape it so I look like I have better sideburns and he worked a miracle! The only problem would be that there are only two spots for someone to sit down and get a haircut, so if there is high traffic here you might have to wait. This is surprisingly one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten and for only $10- please stop by and give this wonderful place a chance! read more
