I waited 12 weeks for a custom order because for some bizarre reason, there is no such thing as a stock system for men that is longer than 6 inches. so I paid an extra feel for 8 inches of length. the longer hair was in such poor condition, I had to have three inches cut off by my stylist. so I ended up with a custom system with no extra length. the solution offered was to send it back and wait an additional 12,weeks to get it back. and who know if that would solve the problem. basically this is how all these companies operate. smok and mirrors. lot of lying. no interest in clients at all. no quality. definitely No class. read more

Over $300 for a custom order down the drain. Should have read the reviews. The inital coversation went so well I thought we were on the same page. When I recieved the order the main component was was missing. When I phoned and said it was wrong. Perhaps my mistake was saying I was open to suggestions. They said they told that they couldn't do what I was asking for. That I should have looked at the order form more closely and it was my fault. I had sent in photos and a graphic but I don't remember anyone ever saying "we can't do that." Hairpiece Warehouse must sell a lot of hair pieces since the manager Kay is so nasty on the phone. I should have known that I wasn't the only person to be treated like fido's rear end. Kay has hung up on like so many other customers. They are very lucky to still be in business with the lack of customer service that they have. When the owner Jay was active in his business, he was able to solve problems created by Kay. However, he is never in their office and therefore Kay has the run of the house and she absolutely stinks. I am trying out a couple of other companies and I will come back to Yelp with an honest review. Kay the manager and is the most rude person I have talked to in decades. She does not listen, and believes everything is the customers fault. I said my third hairpiece from them is much too curly for the body wave I had ordered from them. The body wave was ok on the two units before. The third was so curly I had trouble even combing through it. I do however, try to keep all hairpieces I have received from a vendo. (15 years now) I could not really check this latest hairpiece without wetting it. I wet it, cut it and tried to make it work. I called her, Kay that is, and she would not listen and yelled over me. She basically said I was a liar. This was the first time in 15 years I ever got a much too curly hairpiece. Kay has no empathy and cannot be civil and has no place working for a service for people that have lost their hair. Please do not even try this place it is not worth it. Kay was so nice at first and then became short with me and tried to rush what I wanted so it was easier to just go with the choice she wanted. The conversations became more tense over time until this last one telling me I did not know what I wanted (having done this for15 years now) was intolerable Please Just go elsewhere. I have been using their products for past 8 months . Product wise i can give them 3 or 3.5 but the way the customers service reacts if something goes wrong from their side is Blizzard. This is the 4th order i made which has 2 pieces similar to my old order.Order received 2 within 2 months.Since this is not the first time i ordered i didn't checked the order thinking that i can open it once my current one needs to be replaced . And after 40 plus days my current one started shredding rapidly so i taut its time i should use the new ones now and to my surprise i found the order is wrong except for the color and size , the density and poly shape is different. I called the cc and explained the situation and sent them the pictures. They were OK to repair the pieces if i send them back but i told that since i dont have another backup i need to use atleast one now (even tough its light density :: the poly is actually revealing as white stripe now) and can will send later. But the cc manager is soo harse says something like this 1. That i am playing games and they cant accept anything like this. 2. Its my mistake not to keep back up. 3.When i say i am loosing 200$ ,she says "Sir , you are not loosing anything , its already on my top" 4.warehouse guys usually makes mistakes like this sometimes. Buyer Beware.. I am 54 and never had to do a bad review like this for a company. Kay was very rude talked over me would not listen to me and hung up on me. I bought 2 custom hair systems from them at different times. I sent my hair sample and base template. The first one I got fit great and matched my templet perfectly but the color was way to dark. I paid the girl who cuts my hair to lighten it and let it go with no complaints since I did not want to wait 3 months for them to send it back to China. When I ordered the second one I told them about the color issue and sent them a new hair sample thinking maybe there was a mix up. I did not ask for compensation. I got the new hair system and found the base did not match my template. It was an inch to short front to back and a half inch on the sides. She said I put Glue and chemicals on it that shrank it, this was not true at all. I am out over $300...won't be using these monsters anymore. Hairpiece warehouse is attempting to block my bad review of their horrible service so I'll be more than happy leave it again (as well as my receipt and proof of purchase). they attempt to label any bad reviews as "fraudulent" so i also included photos of my receipt for PROOF OF PURCHASE. it should also be noted that the recent reviews complimenting "kay"'s horrendous customer service are obviously left by hairpiece warehouse themselves. they have SO MANY BAD reviews and are so nasty to their customers that they have to completely make up faux reviews to offset how disgusting they are. they will steal your money, stay far away. google their competitors ,you'll be much happier and won't have to deal with such disgustingly inept people/customer "service." also, they will send you a stock piece and claim it is "custom," then not allow a return. and kay's favorite thing to do is hang up the phone on you, so beware! my original review: BEWARE! The worst customer service you will ever encounter. The website lists hairpieces as 100% human hair, THIS IS FALSE! Go to one of their competitors like TOPLACE or HOLLYWOODLACE - same pricing, much better customer service and faster shipping. I ordered a blonde stock hairpiece for the first time from HairpieceWarehouse (yes, I have used others), which came an unnatural yellow color, so I had my professional hairdresser attempt to bleach it, it would not take and damaged the piece. NOT HUMAN HAIR, DO NOT PURCHASE! (Again, I have bleached hairpieces in the past with no problems, even stated so in my email. This was my first time trying a thinskin system, which the THIN SKIN itself is the only thing I was pleased with). When I wrote to customer service explaining the dilemma, they gave me the runaround for about a week saying they were "after hours care only" and "didn't have my transaction number." Then when I called as was asked, I was hung up on by a very rude lady after only asking me a few questions about my order. I escalated the claim to Paypal and HPWH stated it was ineligible for refund or exchange because I had removed the "netting." As you can see from their other reviews they try to respond to as "fraudulent," they have had MANY nasty and bad interactions with customers. I'm not the first and I won't be the last. Having never purchased a hairpiece before he found the staff and owner Jay extremely knowledgeable and patient while they assisted him in during the ordering process. He is very impressed with the quality as well as the price. He received it in a timely manner, it came nicely packaged with plenty of information about how to care for and adjust his new hairpiece. Update on my review. Jay the owner called my friend to fix the issue. He was super reasonable and not like the woman who originally helped us out. She didn't seem so concerned about the fact that her actions and words can affect business in a negative way. I had a business and to be honest yelp reviews and Google suck. I had morons write negative reviews on my business who where dishonest and lied. In this computer age you have to kiss ass because any customer who is unhappy even if they are wrong and unfair can have an opportunity to speak their mind even when they are out of theirs. The customer service at this business is horrible. I spoke to Kay, who said she was a manager. She was very rude and snotty. She told me that I was to "sensitive " about my order and I should find another vendor. I will be finding another vendor to order from. I think anyone ordering a hair system, will be sensitive about their order. I paid for the rush order of 5-7 weeks and finally got my order at 10 weeks. They had excuse after excuse of why it took so long. At one point I was told, since I belonged to a "hair club " I should know that sometimes it takes longer. I contacted hairpiece warehouse about getting 2 units custom made and when I monitored the situation over in China, which is where the units are sent according to the CSR, I then called back and, I wanted to switch to a stock unit and because of my hair color (gray) the CSR said, she would have to contact someone in the hairpiece warehouse to see if they had that color and, she told me that she would call me back in a week. That was 2 weeks ago. How long does it take to check to see if they have a hair color in stock? A day. Today, I called back and politely gave the reason for my call and, was told quickly, that hairpiece warehouse would get back to me and hung up the phone. This CSR is killing your business Jay and, I certainly got the feeling of being blown off by this CRS and, for no good reason whatsoever. I was in the process of ordering a unit for the first time. In a friendly way I described exactly what I was looking for, midway she stopped me and said "you better speak to my associate this is too much information" I said fine. She then began to interrogate me with endless questions. I was confused so I asked in a polite way "I am confused as to whether I speak to you, or your associate"? She hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a man to place my order and found out the woman's name was Kay she seems like she is involved with running the place in some capacity. I called a couple of weeks later to check in and it was the same woman used a harsh tone with me(Kay), I mentioned that she hung up on me the last time and her sarcastic response was "may I hang up now?" I am a fairly new customer. I ordered my first unit and it came within a week of when they told me it would. I ordered it with med wave and it came in someone straight with little wave or curl. I could style it with a curling iron and get it to look pretty much how I wanted it to look. I ordered a 2nd unit the EXACT same way I did the last one and it came in so curly it looked like I had an afro. I am contacted support but have yet to hear back from them. I'll give them a couple of more days to contact me. I have another order already placed ( did this before I got this 2nd curly unit ) and am hoping they can make sure it isn't so curly on this next one. After my first unit I would have given them a 5. Gave them a 3 rating because they are 1 good 1 bad unit. If this 3rd unit comes in like the last one I'll give them a zero. I am looking for a company that I can use for years to come. I buy from this company because they are reliable and consistent...the pieces are good for the price ..or any price for that matter....I've bought from many places prior...most (all?) tend to be rip-offs... my one gripe is that they advertise bleached knots but, THEY DO NOT BLEACH THE KNOTS!!! My hair. Color is med. brown with 20% grey...so the bleaching should not be impeded by the hair Color. I simply bleach the piece myself ! As. For some comments about longevity; I like to get a. New one every 3-4 months... My husband hairpiece only lasted 3 months and tons of hair fell out from the first month we had it so i called and spoke to jody who was very nice and courteous .However she was not able to authorize anything so she put her nasty manager on before I could explain anything she asked how often does he wash his hair i said 2x a week she said thats too much and you need to use a sulfate free shampoo i went on to explain i was a hairdresser and knew about sulfate and sodium free and she said thats nice. You are still washing it too much everytime I tried to speak she would very angerly speak over me like she couldnt be bothered . while i was purchasing the piece they were wonderful now that I have a problem she was nasty I understand if they couldnt do anything but there was no reason to treat a customer like that she eventually just hung up on me. Notice how this company slams all negative reviews as either a "fraud", a "competitor" or they insults the customer making the complaint and trying to "appeal to their better side" but then considers it a loss? This company, which I have deal with since 2014 has gone downhill. First product I ordered was great...second and third were not as good, lost a ton of hair quickly. Fourth lost a lot of hair and they were rude..argumentative in emails and instead of trying to satisfy me they argued and were very condescending. The owner replied and was equally obnoxious which he clearly allows to be a culture. Do not get me wrong...I had a bad string of pieces from this company but that happens within any business. I have a few friends that have received consistent good product from them...however, they and I will never purchase from here again simply due to the poor customer service and arrogant condescending attitude. I've been ordering from Hairpiece Warehouse since 2013, but our business customer relationship is ending today. The hair quality is good, the base I use (Swiss Lace) is good, the price is ok (although not as cheap as they say because of the shipping and handling they charge: $22.00 to send it to Houston, TX). My problem with them is that most of the time they give you Medium Light density when you order Medium. In order to find out the density I'm getting when I receive the order I have to comb the hair and it, according to them, make the wrong hairpiece ineligible for exchange. The lady on the customer service side usually has an attitude and one time she asked me to order from somebody else. I've been wearing hair for almost 20 years and I know that there are different batches within the same density so it may vary a little, but that's not the case here. It is a huge difference. I believe hairpiece warehouse doesn't carry medium density on a swiss lace but they pretend to do so. My problem is that most of the time I order from them it's an emergency and I still can make a medium-light density hairpiece work, so I just kept most of them, although I was not happy. HPW has very poor customer service and doesn't seem to have anyone employed with any relevant experience. Seems like they refer everything to "the factory" and no desire to troubleshoot/problem solve. I don't normally write any of these reviews with anyone because I usually keep my opinions to myself, but I wanted to get a couple of things off my chest. I have been buying my hair systems from Hairpiece Warehouse since my first order back in May 2014 which was a custom order which took a while to receive,but that is normal under special order situations and switched over to the stock units instead because I would have my order within a week or less and the additional cost is a very little but worth it with Hairpiece Warehouse.....I have been using hair systems since back in 1983 from Hair Club For Men when it was a big deal to get them and very expensive as much as $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 per year to be supplied with 3 systems a year and every year with prices going up as the years go by and they had to be put on and maintained by professional hair salon technition that specializes in in selling and maintaining them for you and in a high end areas like Beverly Hills or West Los Angeles where I worked back then and the process was very different then in which they where kept on by having your own hair cut and then braided and the hair systems where held on with small metal clips to the braid which was somewhat painful right after it was put on till your grew out some and loosen up some and then it became loose and after 3-5 weeks you had to go back and do it all over again and pay $45.00-$75.00 at a time and since then the process went to Poly Fuse as they called in then in which glue was used before we went to tape which the process changed considerably in the last 20 plus years. Anyway,I am very satisfied working with Jay and the only thing I can say which is not a major issue was when I started with Hairpiece Warehouse back in 2014 Jay was a lot more available for any questions that I had with my orders and now I would have to wait a few days and sometimes I would have to leave more than one message for him, But Jay would eventually call me back after hours.....I have shared my good experince working with Hairpiece Ware house with other people and other hair salons in the different areas I travel to that could benefit working with Hairpiece Warehouse and Jay.................................... read more

I tried this new hairpiece supplier. I wish I hadn't. This truly was the worst hairpiece I have ever received. Been wearing for 14 years and ordering online for 8. I finally got my hairpiece from hairpiece warehouse after 12 weeks and the quality was terrible. The hair quality and production was alwful. The "bleached knots" were non existent. Big knots in the front, lousy hair quality, and slow delivery. Additionally, there were big bald spots in various place. I tried to wear the hairpiece and got looks from all sorts of people. I couldn't wear the hairpiece i got from hairpiece warehouse. What a waste of money. Slow delivery, bad quality, waste of money. Going to stick with my current supplier.
